I actually had a down payment on a 2016 Audi RS7 Performance. This review actually directed me to go with a 2018 S7 instead. Appreciate your time with doing this review!!
This car still holds its value in 2023. I bought one last summer with 20k miles. It’s beyond the fastest most luxurious car I’ve ever owned. I’ll never sell it. This car is for people who like to drive fast.
Loved your S5 Sportback video as well. And the red shoes in it lol. I commented on it about wanting one but I ended up picking up an 2017 S7. So happy with it. So much more car. And you’re right.. it’s an amazing drive. To top it off, it’s a Prestige model too. Every time you sit in one, you immediately get spoiled. Love your vids man.
+Diesel Review Yea. I'm studying to be an automotive powertrain engineer so I found the part about cylinder deactivation and how the microphones are used to cancel out resonant vibrations to be quite insightful. Also didn't know you could switch off the auto start stop feature. Would be nice if you could focus more on new techs like these in your vids. Thanks.
Nice video! Why wouldn't you take it through Starbucks drive through? Have you been around these "S" series cars enough to say if it would stand up as an everyday driver? I also noticed you prefer the S6 over this. I'm looking at A7's and S7's. I like the look.
In general, the drive through is a waste of time. Obviously, it has benefits in winter when you don't want to slip on ice for a cup of coffee, but start stop tech only works in ideal operating parameters, and consumers like heated seats and steering wheels in addition to blasting the heater usually result in the car idling anyway. Conversely, in the summer heat, you want the A/C blasting and the cabin temp does rise when the start stop system activates (the fan blows but A/C compressor stops). As far as the S7, I love the look, but the S7 is very quiet and tame compared to the S6. The S7 I drove was $98k and there are many excellent options at that price.
That's a beauty, and it's obviously available right now, which is better than placing an order and waiting 4+ months before delivery. Audi just announced the A8L sport, and I believe it's on par with the S7 on paper (performance and price). I strongly believe there are two types of buyers, those who buy the deal, and those who buy the car. I try not to purchase on emotions. I find the S7 to be somewhat subdued (too quiet), and if a luxury missile is what you're aiming for, the S7 might not be as much bang for the buck as the S8 (with the exception of styling). Regardless, the larger Audi models in any trim are spectacular all-rounders for daily use. Keep me posted.
Diesel Review can you expound on this comment? based on performance or style? I'm a hatchback lover and the 7 line clicks all the boxes.... now I see a comment by a car aficionado stating S6/S8 over S7/RS7.....ugh
ruclips.net/p/PLDc_3KihMGRB8jmYvvr16txrCUjSORc0W The S7 is the most subdued out of all the S models. The RS7 is wicked. The S6 is actually more visceral and smaller and tighter than all of them. Again, the RS7 is wicked. And the S8 is a statement. Comparing the RS7 to the S8 Plus, the S8 is more practical, especially for daily use. The RS7 is just too special to drive anywhere. I'd track the RS7 before I track the S8. But they almost cost the same. When it comes to the interior, I'd rather be in the S8. The only downside is that the A8/S8 will be radically new in 2019 (most likely). I have a video on the A8 Plus (all A8 models now have the S8 engine).
+listentocKy0893 There aren't mechanical differences. The S7 is, though, by far tamer. The wider stance and lower center of gravity means that this car will handle flat through corners (imagine an F1 car). The comparative narrowness and height of the S6 means it will have more body roll and feel a little livelier. Mid-corner it is easier to correct. Also, the S6 is 100lbs lighter, so it will be 1/10th of a second faster to 60 and corner faster.
The S7 is based on the S6, but the S6 feels and sounds sportier. I'd say the S7 is the quietest and tamest of all the S models. The S6 raises the hair on the back of my neck just like the S4. As for wind noise, there isn't any in either the S7 or S6. Ride comfort depends on whether or not you get the air suspension. I like the looks of the S7 but the S6 lures me in with its sportier substance and tones.
Not entirely sure you know what "driver oriented cockpit" means. It's a design style to have all instruments, gauges, buttons, etc. oriented towards the driver instead of the passenger. Great review otherwise! Keep up the good work
That's for damn sure. Gorgeous beast. Matches the BMW M5 to 60mph yet gets 27 hwy MPG... ridiculous. Btw great review of the Bang & Olufsen sound system on your website! Couldn't find a single thorough review anywhere.
Might be the best s7 video ive come across. Youre the only person to demonstrate the raise/lower feature

Good to know. Congrats and thanks for watching!
Why’d you downgrade?
@@dub1256 To save money while having nearly an identical car
@@blase1856 I get the money aspect but they’re NOT the same car lol, I have an s6 now and I want a rs7
@@dub1256s6 to a rs7 isn’t the same car s7 to rs7 is pretty much the same car all you need is bigger turbos and a different transmission
Great video. I appreciate the details covered. Better than most videos out there. Dream car for me.
Thanks for watching! I appreciate the comment.

best detailed review of the s6..s7 Audi. thanks.

The A7 with the V6 is plenty enough to get in some serious trouble
Very nice review!
Really great vid. Quite nicely done
Thanks!

Did this have the sports exaust?
Does the AC blow cold enough in really hot weather? Nice video and thanks for sharing!
Nice review! Thanks
I have more videos on my other channel: New Car Spin

+Diesel Review lol! I was looking for something like "I didn't want to risk a spill" The one I'm looking at is an Audi exclusive, obviously loaded.

+Diesel Review Thanks! Will do.
Very Informative!
Awesome
Very good review... Would you suggest to take the S7 rather than the RS7?
I'd have an S6 over an S7, and an S8 over an RS7.
Wow! Thank you for your help...
+Diesel Review why ? ( nice video )

Why are there any mechanical differences between S6 and S7 at all ? Seeing you mentioning the S7 being tamer and quieter etc. ?
Great video btw and that looks fetched my heart

Looking good
Was it equiped with a sport exhaust?
2015 Audi S7 or 2015 BMW M5 with Competition Package? Which one you think
VERY NICE.
Lucky you are to drive that Monster! :-)
Yeah, it's a sexy machine and it gets a lot of looks. It's a classic design.
how would you compare this to the s6 in terms of ride quality, road noise, wind noise and sportiness?

How much is this car used cars cost to mich
the facade looks a little odd from some angles...
It could be from the fisheye lens of the gopro camera. The A7/S7/RS7 is beautiful in person. Thanks for watching!
I WANT ONE
G1000 Cockpit??? someone is a pilot!!!!
In the process of learning.
Cool!!

+Liam Callum It's driver oriented. The instruments are angled toward the driver. This ain't no C-class.
