I always thought that the Origin version was better than the clutched version - easier to change the single belt, instead of having to replace the entire clutch and 2 belt system combined. The brushroll is also better on the Origin. Can you believe the DC14 is 20 years old this year - time flies.
I totally agree. I think the clutchless versions of this and the 07 and the O4 were so much better than the clutched models. Always felt the brushrolls handled hair and fluff and pet fur so much better than the other brushrolls and the agitation was so much better on the clutchless models always thought it’s because there is more of a surface area as it’s round with better placement of the bristles and denser bristles as well And yes time does fly. I remember very well all the hype when the DA001 came out then the the DC01 while the the states had the fantom models with brushroll motors, and flatter floor heads and headlights, and hard floor mode then we had the DC02 while the states had the fantom lightning with powerhead and mini electric powerhead for upholstery and stairs, never understood why ours were so basic but the fantoms who licensed the cyclonic design from james Dyson were so feature rich the DC02 would have been much better with a powerhead like the lightning had, instead we had floor heads that got complained about because they couldn’t pick up pet fur or lint off carpets then they redesigned without pedals and meant to be automatic not sure which was worse, but in the end none of them compared to brushrolls and clutchless designs of the DYSON DC04/07/14 I’m not a Dyson lover but I do own these models and I use them a lot especially my Silver and lime 04
The motors burnout on these for a little bit of Sunday afternoon fun but i've always loved the industrial and upfront design of the DC14. Not the tight tolerances and weird apperence of something like the UP15.
The X7 and V11 are both brilliant machines! Luckily with DC07s the motors can be replaced in them, it can be a little time consuming but definitely worth it
Will last five or ten years? I bought my DC14 in May of 2006 - that’s almost 18 years! It still runs like new and looks almost new. It has the original brush roll and the original washable filter. They don’t make them like they used to!
Would you be able to do a full carpet cleaning video with the Bissell ProHeat 2x Revolution Pet Pro? I know your carpets might be dying to have it done. And I think people will like it and it will show what ordinary vacuum cleaners leave behind.
These and DC07 in my opinion were the first of the better performers , the early Dysons looked that part but I don’t think they performed so well. Good video as always 👍🏽
I try not to run it until I’ve finished vacuuming lol 😂 I’m afraid of getting the big filter clogged quickly so I just use it when I’m cleaning up afterwards, luckily it’s not too dusty! I think it’s the combination of the filter being really huge and that I don’t run it during these videos lol
The motors produce the same amounts of suction and airflow I think, I’d love to see you revisit the DC14! It’s worth mentioning however that I emptied another full bin this time, so more fine gritty dirt 😂 Also the DC07 origin had a new filter and this DC14 has it’s original one (the mesh cage may need bit of a jet wash), but comparing the two the DC07 seemed to leave more of a trail on the right hand side compared to the 14 in the first few passes at the start
@@parwaz7861 we’ll see! I’m happy with my 07 at the moment. But if a cheap 14 turns up locally I might give them another go. It’s been nearly 20 years since my last one I guess
Hairspray can help, or a car headlight lens polishing kit What I like is a polishing pad you can attach to a drill and use some sort of plastic scratch remover 👍🏽
This was a time when dyson had 320+ air watts on a upright with a motor brush bar it was insane , today we have cordless that have motorised brush bars which stop the second they touch a carpet, £800 n thats wat dyson gives us today, apart from the filters hes really letting us down with no strength brush bars on nonsense cordless crap being forced on us with crap batteries on boost, if they cnt make batteries then they should give tesla a call maybe he can help em out
❤❤❤❤Love all of your videos. Thanks for the relaxation and mess test with lots of dirt and fluff. 😊
Wow Stephluva6067 thank you so much!!! You have really made my day and put a smile on my face!! ❤️✌🏽 I really appreciate it a lot!! You rock!!! 😁✌🏽
Gosh, I love a classic Dyson. I wish we got this variant in the states.
Me too! They’re nice, engineered simply and they’re becoming nostalgic now
Wow this vacuum is spectacular to watch! The performance is incredible. This machine really does show what Dyson is all about. DYSON POWER! ❤
It doesn't lose a sausage of suction
Very impressive!! The DC 14 is a beast! Another great mess test. Adding to my playlist! 🤩

I feel old!! I remember when the DC07 was the latest upright and DC04s were displayed in Comet in various colour schemes

Probably the most og dyson dc14
This vacuum is the real deal 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I praise your ART oh Mighty Vac God!
My first and BEST hoover ever! But, it is so damn heavy I don’t use it any more, but it’s still working perfectly as the day I bought it.
Love this Dyson 😀
Me too! One of the best Dysons ever I think
I’ve been waiting for this
But the way that you go to dump the dirt bin 🤣🤣🤣. And that close up fluff clean up 🫠🫠🫠🫠

Had a turquoise DC07, bought in 2003, motor went in 2019. Bought a V11 as a replacement and Sebo X7, as backup. Miss the 07 though.
The X7 and V11 are both brilliant machines! Luckily with DC07s the motors can be replaced in them, it can be a little time consuming but definitely worth it
So satisfying 😍

That’s awesome! A lot of them can last 20 years, I’ve seen plenty of them with plenty of life left in their motors!
Very satisfying
Glad you think so!
@@parwaz7861 I have some vacuuming videos if you want to check out
parwaz , where do you get all this dirt. and what is it
It took a long time of saving it up 😂
@@parwaz7861 lol
Just been to a hall that has 2 vacuums normally you would expect a Henry but there was a DC04 and a hitachi 1000
Can you please do a video on the Dyson swapped Henry XL
WOW! That henry in the chair thinks hes better then the dc14 😂. Love your vids. Keep it all up
Henry acting like the king just needs a crown now! 🤣🤣👑
Thank you so much it means a lot!!
@@parwaz7861Think he should kill the dc14 😂
Maybe do a mess test on the dc14 allergy

hello parwaz786 and how are you doing today mate and mum had Dyson DC14
I really want to see the filter condition of your new dyson air purifier after all of the vacuum tests you've done 😁
Is it me or did this not perform quite as well as the equivalent DC07 origin? The 07 seemed to get almost everything on the first pass
