Hey man love the video ! One question I got my car to run but the way I shut it off I break ground to everything , so my question is do you know what wire I need to grab off the harness to keep constant power to ecu so it retains throttle memory ,
Hi buddy you seen very capable and cool guy so thank you for this super cool video . I have a Maserati engine v8 4.7 out of a granturismo with all the original wire harness , throttle pedal , fuse boxes and I already had the immobilizer removed from the ecu , I’m planing to do an engine swap into a project car I’m building. My question is if there is a way you could modify the oem harness so I can run the engine and I will pay you of course thank you .
Hey, I know I'm pretty late to the party, but I'm trying to swap a VQ into a 280ZX. Wiring is the current hurdle and your video is the best thing I've found so far. I feel like the questions that I need to ask are going to be fairly amateur and I hope you can put up with them. Your categories are labeled relay one, relay two, and so on. What do you do with the wires in the category "key on power"? Does it matter where you got the OBD2 port? Can I just order one off of Amazon and wire it up the same way you did? And is there instructions for how to do that properly? Your video doesn't quite show where all the wires go on the OBD2. I followed along about as well as I can, and one of the problems that I'm running into is the throttle pedal. I thought it was going to be as simple as matching up the wires like you said in the video, but there are a few wires that repeat. The green solid one, the black solid one. But according to some of the pinouts that I've found online, it's totally separate wires all together. I was wondering if you could show a close-up of the wires for the throttle pedal or list out the pins that those wires came from. And now for the really stupid question, the three plugs that you mentioned the black one and the two gray ones, I can't figure out what those are supposed to plug into. I literally have no idea where they go.
Hi can one of these be wired to communicate with TCM and run an automatic trans? Have a 06 Maxima I want to use for a sand buggy project- thanks great video.
@@vqmiata1896 yes i all ready did the nats removal wiring is not my specialty. I did vq35de swap into my Mazda b2600 just need to finish these relays thank u very much for the brake down video and replying back to me
Unfortunately not cost effectively. The only ecu I know of that will work like the factory is a haltec and I still think that there’s some compromises. Tbh I didn’t look into it very far because the stock ecu and harness will support more power than I’ll ever need.
morning you you sell your pin out diagram struggling to keep up busy with a race car build on my 350z and need to delete all wiring not neede to run the car many thanks reggie jeffreysbay south africa
10/10 way to show everyone you didn’t watch it all. I talked about the NATS at the end of the video, explained what it will do if you don’t have it disabled and even said what tuning software I used. What more were you expecting?
you are wonderful for doing this for everyone thanks!!!!!
Thank you for doing the foot work on this I had an ls in my Z31 but I wanted to give the vq engine a try, this guide is quite helpful
Gostei tanto porfavor me esplica Como e instalado o strtstop junto da placa
Thanks you no friends

So I’m messing with my harness right now none of my wires color match to urs like blue and beige plug mine is blue and pink

I dont know sorry. I’m running a manual and just reverse engineered this harness the best I could.
So where is the petal pig tail typically stubbed out on the harness? I can’t find the end to splice it like u said.
Found this, tuned, now have no function of throttle motor via petal or sound of being on. Any ideas ?
Nvm lol answered in end of vid
Tengo un vq30de del año 99 la ecu original tiene inmovilizador ??
Hey, do you have a pin out of supply 12v to the ecu and grounds. I’m still a tad confused
Sorry for the late response. Pictures of The pin outs should be at the end of the video.
Would you happen to know if it’s the same for the 07-08 vq35HR version
It is not the same sorry. HR has dual throttle bodies.
Hello friend, how can I contact you, I need your help
So is that all the wires and relays I have to set up to be able to run the engine
That is all that is done to mine to make it run wiring wise. You will still need a tune to delete the NATS on the ecu

sorry if this a dumb question but wouldnt be sooo much easyer and run an standalone/after market ecu
