- US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is expected to visit Israel next week to discuss the Israel Defense Force (IDF) operation in Rafah, in the Gaza Strip to continue its strategy to eradicate Hamas, according to reports from Hebrew media.
The White House has not confirmed but it would be Blinken's 7th visit to the region since the Oct. 7 attack by the Hamas terror group on Israel. Blinken's discussion would also center around a ceasefire and hostage release deal as more than 100 Israelis are still held captive in Gaza.
