    Marine, why does everyone refer to the interval as inverted 5ths? Why not simply 4ths as in second inversion of the chord?

    • @OnlineRockLessons
      @OnlineRockLessons  2 месяца назад

      It’s because of the scale and the chords!! I will make a video to explain this :)

    Do you play the IK B3-X through the XK5? If yes, what's wrong with the XK5?

    • @OnlineRockLessons
      @OnlineRockLessons  4 месяца назад

      Hey!! There’s nothing wrong with the XK5 :)
      The reason I do that is simply to add overdrive and have a midi file for the course. The IK plugin offers different preset of overdrive all made for you in the style of Jon Lord :)

    This "technique" is as old as the first organ. Jon Lord, being classically trained, knew this. Not "Inverted Fifth", but simply the 3rd and 4th Overtones being played together that create the Fundamental. Simple math: 4-3 = 1. Organ builders knew this hundreds of years ago. BTW, the same Perfect Fouth Intervals are being played by Ritchie Blackmore, on guitar.

      well finally! thank you. simply the second inversion of the chord with the root in the base.

    the mix of church-sounding organ and the 'heavy' music frit lends itself to sounding say evil or demonic, i didn't research it, but back in the late 60's i was around 9 and i think Deep Purple was too 'heavy' and too into dark symbolism so they didn't get played on general audience radio stations, contrary to say, the more Irish fairy tale types of ProgRock groups, For some reason back then i really wanted a Deep Purple t-shirt but only got a Tequila Sunrise recipe t-shirt, so not as cool looking as a Deep Purple t-shirt. It was common back then for Parents to forbid listening to heay rock in part because it was thought as devil worshiping. Now the 'heavy' groups sure play on the theme of 'we may be kinda devil worshiper' in some cases they take themselves seriously but in other cases it's probably because they like the esthetics of devil worshiping or just Goth and Vampires

    • @christo6765
      @christo6765 2 месяца назад

      in the late 60's Purple were anything but heavy or dark. their first 3 albums were elaborate extended covers of popular tunes of the day ; Beatles, Joe South, Neil Diamond, Phil Spector, etc. some originals and classically oriented compositions. (they were (admittably so) trying to emulate the Vanilla Fudge)
