I’ve noticed something that’s changed my views on Price. Since the World Final, this is the second time I’ve seen Price play Littler and both times, he has refrained from his usual cheat puffing and shouting when he hits a big check out or a 180. I think Price is showing Littler an awful lot of respect. Hats off to him for that. For Littler though, the future is remarkably bright. He’s a sensation and one that all the top players will fear as time goes by!
I think littler might reignite a fire inside MVG, bit like MVG did with Taylor. Where they sort of think “Hang on new kid, I’m still the main man around here”. I think it’s going to be a phenomenal year of darts this year

I recall MvG in an interview talking about a match with Taylor early on in his career and saying something along the lines of Taylor's celebration upon winning showed how intimidated Taylor was by MvG's presence and abilities.... Yeah, I commented a similar thing. Felt like he was very mean spirited in his celebration, all after a 17 year old kid pushed him to the limit AND averaged higher than him over the entire game. He walked passed him and screamed at the crowd rather than walking to him and shaking his hand.

WHAT A FINAL. Such fantastic entertaining darts and so easy on the eye. Luke Littler is the best thing to happen to darts coz everyone knows to beat him they gotta produce a very high level and that gives us brilliant entertainment. MVG played his best match of the tournament in the final and he had to coz Littler averaged almost 107. It was solid holds after holds from both until Luke got his chance but couldnt take it and then the last leg he narrowly missed the Big Fish before MVG clinched it. The respect they showed for each other at the end was awesome to see. Now we have Littler vs Humphries at 1-1 and Littler vs MVG at 1-1 as well and future matchups between these guys in the PL will be so good to watch. Cant wait for Cardiff already to see Luke vs Luke part 3 and i know were gonna get some ridiculous averages in these fast pace matches.

Phil Taylor started at age 27. It is completely possible Littler could be the GOAT. But the GOAT can mean slightly different things when comparing different generations. If you use the metric of 180s, 9 dart outs and total championships he could definitely surpass Taylor.

I absolutely agree. He was fine once he did but should do it earlier. You can see he was Riled up to beat Littler and that shows how good this boy is. He has everybody rattled. Premier league will be great this year.
No.. Littler won't mind.. he'll be smiling on the inside.. knowing full well he's living rent free in the heads of all the top players.. reverse psychology..Littler will eventually wear them all down if he maintains this level of consistency.. The titles will come thick and fast.

I think that was a bit unsporting like from MVG when he won the title, Luke was standing there waiting to congratulate Michael, But Michael was too busy celebrating, Michael should have shaked Lukes hand first and then started to celebrate. It's as if he was playing mind games with Luke. Not darts etiquette. I hope it doesn't effect Luke in the future, Luke needs to use that to be more determined to beat Michael from now on.

I was a little bit concerned when they put Luke Littler in the premier league... I thought that it was way too early to stack that pressure on such a young player. But I was completely wrong! It would be a great shame if he wasn't in the premier league this year - I think he can win it.
