- I did a whole run using only the trashiest summons in the game. This was originally supposed to be a jellyfish only run but that was pretty impossible unless I heavily modded the game, then I thought maybe I could do a rat only (which is why you see me use the rats twice) but that only lasted for so long, eventually I just decided I'd use any trash summon and it ended up being a really good run. I end up using latenna but I was okay with it cause she's really difficult to use properly and I havnt seen many other runs use her. Hope you enjoy!

FYI : Shabriri's woe does nothing unless its multiplayer from my findings. I asked a data miner to go through the game code and they found that the talisman set's aggro to +1 or something like that but only if its multiplayer co-op. So any aggro change you notice in single player is just placebo at best. Also this run was initially only meant to be any% (minimum number of bosses to finish the game). Mohg/malenia etc. were just bonus bosses i did for fun hence why I reused latenna on them even though i tried to work other summons in there.
shabriri's woe works on mimic tear if you have it in your inventory when you summon him, but that's it

Fun fact malenia phase 2 when she uses scarlet flower incantation thing she actually loses a set percentage of her current health depending if she's got more than %25 health left (or there about)
Alright bro, jellyfish is not useless, it is useful, its no tiche, but its your early game draw aggro poisoner, so its pretty good for early game, don't say it sucks.
@@donnaabbott2079 I maxed out the jelly fish and it actually carried me through radabeast. It's scaling is crazy.
The Mausoleum Soldiers are headless because their skulls are attached to the feet of the walking mausoleums - the things you destroy to make them sit down. When you make one of those mausoleums sit down all nearby Mausoleum Soldiers also cease to exist.

Huh I think the developers somehow managed to change some of the mausoleums so the ghost soldiers actually remain so that's fun

And not all mausoleums even had any ghost soldiers around them.

Bruh the Jellyfish carried my weak ass through my first playthrough. She was stunning bosses left and right.
Same she tanky for early bosses
Plus she floats so she avoids all ground-based damage.
Well those two Miranda Flowers are now co-kings of Leyndell. Also I never thought I would hear Land Squirts and MVP together yet here we are. That was a really creative run!
Imagine calling the best summon in the game trash (greatshield soldiers are actually godlike summon)
I remember experimenting with soldiers in my very first playthrough, they were pretty good.
@@malpheus4299 I am doing a summons only all bosses run rn and shieldboys are the most reliable summon for me. They literally beat the crucible duo and twinblade black blade kindred for me.
@@notsosuperhero267 yep I've done three separate summon only runs and Greatshield Bois are by far top three out of all summons in the entire game.......
They are certainly the tankiest summon in the game
godlike at taking damage defense is only one half the game
For those who don't know; Land Squirts & Rats will spawn on the Rebirth Monument (the obelisk that people like to do the sit emote on top of), which is why they spawn in odd locations.
One of the worst obelisks is the one at the Gatehouse site of grace, they spawn away from everything with no sight of enemies.
You're an absolute madman for even ATTEMPTING this run. I'm actually doing something similar but with a few other rules.
1. No damaging bosses.
2. Any summons (NPCs included) allowed so long as I obtain them.
3. Must beat All field bosses (with the only exceptions of Evergoals and invasions, like manor quests)
I cannot say that I am willing to go as far as you. My run is easier, and still made me want to rage quit many times. Bosses like Godskin Noble of Volcano Manor took me 38 atempts with +7 Imp Fang Ashes...

this is going to sound like a backhanded compliment but I swear it's incredibly genuine - I love how visibly stressed out you get, lmao. it makes things much more tense and exciting! a better watch all around than stoicism
I know Bushy playing with you should boost you up a lot, but can I just say you're criminally underrated? For your charisma and skill at the game, it's insane to me that you only have 5.7k subs
The greatshield boys are incredible, I use them almost every run, they're tanky, they draw agro, they surround most enemies, specifically mounted enemies, making it so they can't move, and there's 5 of them, it's insane.
Loved the wolves for over half of the game, then mausoleum soldiers after that were pretty darn good. Mausoleum soldiers are better than a lot of the named ones.
This run was so much fun to watch!! Land squirts were the MVP

I appreciated seeing a variety of summons across the run, I would never have expected squirts against a lategame boss! Could you not have used the deer man summon in place of Latenna? The one you get from non-rememberance ghost deer
The problem with the ancestral spirit summon (and most other summons) is that they follow you once you get past a certain range form them. And that's a huge problem against bosses that have insane range/mobility/damage like firegiant and maliketh. That's why the land squirts and latenna were really useful cause they essentially dont move and you can play around them.

The ritual pots deal damage though. Altough you can just throw them right next to Rennala and it would still work so its fine. Well played :)
Also it does one damage so it’s not really a big deal.
The curseblood pots are also the only way to direct a summon. One damage means nothing
didnt expect by "bending" the "1 summon per boss" rule you meant breaking it on the 3rd boss Kappa (great video and editing btw, despite seeing most of it live, it still made me laugh a lot :)
This actually reminded me of the skeleton summons which I thought were pretty trash but after seeing this used in other challenges I've come to realize that while they're not great they're also not terrible. They're no banished knight and they don't have insane damage like tiche but their ability to not die until their bones are broken gives them some serious utility
The Marionette Soldier Ashes are actually really good on anything that can be staggered. I have stunlocked some minibosses with them, especially the faster ones

Rats, land squirts, miranda, okay, sure, bad summons. Dogs, yeah, still bad. Jellyfish? Greatshield soldiers? *Latenna*? Those are all very good if not outright amazing summons, although jellyfish is bad at combat itself, it's just an incredible distraction.
I love them, but in a randomizer run I got the Soljars of Fortune at the very beginning of the game and they failed to hit Margit even once, bless em.

I love omen killer and jars of Fortune. I roll a knight summon until omen killer and then change out my imps for jars. I love the little guys got so much heart.

Greatshield with Holy Ground is actually pretty nice
Greatshield skeletons are too Op in my opinion not saying they should nerf it. But you can destroy bosses with them if their leveled all the way. Like crucible duo or Commander O Nial
The Jellyfish is OP. Super useful for certain bosses.

I don't think jelly fish is a trash ash. It is trash for this purpose though, yes. Jelly fish is like those luring skull items in these games. You put it down to lure a boss to one end of the arena, and then it acts as a meat shield that distracts the boss and maybe gets some poison off. it is the ash for people that are too proud to summon an NPC phantom, since this thing will never carry you. It just makes things slightly more pleasant.

The game is so good, that you can literally create a channel just with differents ways to beat the game, that's awesome.

Things are never trash no matter how weak they may seem, every summon has a role and a build to fit alongside with.

I do not like how there are places in the game where the spirits are restricted. I can get limiting using Torrent in tight places but there should be no reason to use spirit ashes anywhere there are enemies

Lone Wolves are my favorite.
They may hit weak as shit mid-late game, but against bosses that stagger easily and with how aggressive they attack, they’re great for me.

There's a unnamed summon that takes like 50-60 damage from most attacks in the game. The crystalian is easily the tankiest summon in elden ring. Im a bit sad he didnt get showcased in this video, he'd probably beat godskin duo with ease.
Playing with summons only would drive me insane :D

Anyone attempting ash only malikath, spawn latenna at the far end of the arena from where malikath 2nd phase spawns and use shabriri's vow to keep agro, it only took me like 4 attempts to ash only him

I use the pouch for my flasks and torrent. It's on the right side when you go into your menu. So I can use flasks by holding Y and using a direction button.
