I'm able to accept that there are good people in both parties, but what I've never understood is how good people in the R Party were able to ally themselves with all the horrible negatives elements within the Republican Party. Those horrible negative elements have always been there and they've always been a significant subset of that party. If you were or are a Republican politician you must know the character of the people who are voting for you. These are the people that you are representing. I don't understand how any intelligent reflective person can play that role. It's the epitome of the trope of the political elite: garnering the votes of a group of horrible people, then trying to govern from a different position.
True she is just a sap. No one could be that blind. Smug with her proper little manners now. Phony.
She was never a proper Republican! What are the horrible negative elements in the Republican party? Embracing family values, pro-life, equal opportunity without identity politics, respect for the law and military, placing our citizens first and foremost on the world stage, and standing up to elite globalists who race toward mediocrity with a fragile economic system with disparate management! Those negative elements? You’re a fool!
Inspiring discussion👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
"I cannot associate with them."
Jen kept me sane through 4 years, two impeachments and all the malarkey since. I look forward to reading this.
If I remember correctly they also GAVE it to tRump on a silver platter as well
Agreed. Didn't over 50% of white women in particular vote for Trump in both 2016 and 2020? She should've led with that caveat...
@@ikeanyanwu-ebo8973 Yes she should have because this is a clear whitewash of history done by herstory
@@ikeanyanwu-ebo8973 Now do men that voted for trump.
@@tracysample6942 I don't think I quite follow your comment. Could you explain? Of course white men voted overwhelmingly for Trump according to all exit poll interviews. And yes, women of all races turned out against Trump. However, when broken down by race, women of color carried the lion's share of this vote against Trump and its not acknowledged. This "white washing" by Jen Rubin is a bit frustrating to see as it diminishes the contribution of women of color in most likely saving our democracy in 2020.
@@ikeanyanwu-ebo8973 that's 50% of the women who voted and whose votes weren't tossed out (as my ballot was) thanks to all the ways red states rig sh*t
As a man, my vote will be against Trump. But in Red state rural Nebraska, it will be no good. So I will need all you ladies to help me resist this idiot I can. Help in 2022 and 2024! Please!
We’ve got your back ✊
The electoral college needs to GO
A remarkable achievement, to leave Dumpf in the dust!
She could not bring herself to say BLACK WOMEN SAVED THE DAME COUNTRY.
“Dame country”?
The guest walked all around Michelle’s questions regarding whiteness and how no matter what , the majority of whites will vote on race regardless if the other candidate is solid.
You are correct in what you said. I am a white male, and even I got that. I appreciate your comment.
Way to project your own obsession with race. Thank God the rest of us are not racists and do not make sweeping generalizations about the ''majority of x (kind of people) and what they will do'' according to your slanted view. SMDH.
Republican women tend to vote the way their daddies or husbands tell them to vote. As evangelicals it's clear that thinking for themselves aren't skills they've learned to access.
"As evangelicals it's clear that thinking for themselves aren't skills they've learned to access."
It's even more clear that it's been discouraged to the point of extinction.
We may see that change, especially when their children question their values.
@@michelekett8450
What makes you think that will happen.
I thought that the generations following me would have abandoned racism and all other bigotries.
They haven't, and in many cases have made it worse.
@@steveknows62 Because there are more people in the world who are not racist, just as your election proved, Americans recognised a tyrant in the former guy and voted him out. We are in a period of massive change, unlike anything we’ve seen in the history we know. The worst of human behaviour is being revealed world wide. Those who have controlled the economy, belief systems and education will be removed. It feels slow, but it’s happening. Science is supporting all this change. Quantum theory was the beginning of understanding that we are made of the same material as the Cosmos. We are only physically manifest when we return to Earth School for another lesson. Everything is energy vibrating at different levels to create the things we need to live here. We have been coming and going from this planet which was created for us, by us a long time ago. We are eternal as is the Cosmos which is boundless and we are not alone, but what other beings are doing is not our business. Reincarnation makes one responsible for one’s actions. If I do not learn a lesson in being a conscious compassionate human being in this life, I’ll have to do it again. Too much like hard work, let’s do it now. As we sow, so we reap, we get what we give and life offers us challenges which we are up for. It’s much easier to treat each other as we would be treated.

You appear to be ignoring January 6, it's larger meaning, and what it portends for our future.
These people are serious about undoing our democracy in favor of a trump dictatorship and various republican controlled states are passing laws which if upheld, would enable them to reject election results that displease them.
This is no time for rose-colored glasses nor high-sounding platitudes.
The Constitution states a president must have prior government experience, or military service of which Trump had niether.
What is the citation stating what you're noting? The POTUS has to be 40 years of age but anything else I'm unaware of your assertion.
Without a citation, your assertion means nothing.
thank You Queens!
I believe that women in politics will tend to balance out men's politics, and that is good and necessary. But let's be real, Jennifer Rubin. Don't give white evangelical women an excuse for voting for Trump, saying they are "complicated."(more white women voted for Trump in 2020 than 2016) No, some women, like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert, are just as dangerous as the men of that political persuasion. And there is nothing inherently better about women than men. That is simply sexist. And Michel Martin, one of the best interviewers out there, correctly implies that white women were terribly slow with issues of race and xenophobia. Thank you, Michel.
introspection is underrated
She wrote the book b4 women supported Trump in record numbers lol

I'm sorry to say, but Kamala Harris is unimpressive and at times shrill. Amy Klobuchar would be a better candidate for 2024.
Amy Klobuchar failed in primaries.
@@DrJohnnyJ Yes, I know. So did Kamala Harris
Are all women "Shrill" to you? Sorry many of us adore Kamala and find her intelligent and hard working. She's not sitting around filing her nails, she is out there meeting and talking with leaders around the world.
@@martywanlass4774 You're pulling a 'trump' by baselessly extrapolating. Had you read the entirety of my sentence, where I expressed a preference for Amy Klobuchar, you would KNOW the answer. No, I do not consider 'all women' shrill P.S. I voted for Hilary, and, no, I did not consider her 'shrill' either.
Does that help? Or are you still in an accusatory mood, one which disallows expressions of personal preference if it does not conform to yours?
@@gregparrott I was interested in reading your contribution, but when you got to “shrill”, you fell into negative descriptive terms often used against women. I don’t dismiss your intelligence, nor your political preferences, but open your eyes and look in the mirror. We all need to check our labelling, at times.
Thank you Jennifer Rubin. Arrogant ignorance is a very dangerous combination. We should all be up in arms against it.
Naive much
Can you imagine how different Afghanistan would look today, if they were now in charge of that country. Given what they have been through over the last 1-10-20-30 yrs.
The speaker mentioned "rule of law" as one of the reasons for identifying with conservatism. This confuses me because I have never seen this is a characteristic of conservatism vis-a-vis liberalism. How can conservatives (even traditional conservatives) claim to be more in favor of "rule of law" than others in civilized society, regardless of political association.
Facts!
I question Jennifer Rubin’s adherence or belief in the rule of law given that she was exposed to the Cold War. Vietnam and the first Afghanistan conflict as well as the Iraq debacle makes me wonder about her support of Nixon and Bush Sr. given that she claimed to be a republican.
We must be the majority and our youth! Maybe not belonging to a party, belonging to democracy and our country, at this time, our Democratic Party wants to set the laws to do this! So we must VOTE BLUE in 2022💙💙💙💙🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
