I love God and Jesus most, and right under them the guardian angel who saved me from a surely-fatal mountain bike crash. And right after that angel, my best friend ever - Babe. Babe was an angel that God assigned to live in an orange tabby-cat's body. I was a contractor in Afghanistan for 5 years training the Afghan police in Kandahar and every time he visited the troops I attended his concerts. A true patriotic to our country and US troops. He was a Legend to country music.

Ah man... I am just all broke up now. This is a song I would have played at my wedding for the Daddy/Daughter dance 35 years ago had it been around. My mom passed away two and a haf weeks prior to our weeding day. We lost Daddy in November 2023. Both had cancer. I have held Kieth, his family, friends and medical team in my prayers for the last few years. A bit ago I watched his last interview. It was at the top of the feed when I opened Chrome on my phone. I would never had known about Krystal Kieth and this song. It is perfect in so many ways. Keith was a Patriot, a Father, a son, a singer-song writer, the complete package. I am so thankful for Keith's infulence on my life through his music. He was a special man and will be missed by all. My thoughts and prayers continue for Keiths family and close firends. He will continue to live on through his incredible body of work. Thank you Kieth. I just know you are headling a show with the heavenly choir in the Kingdom of Heaven.

I was a young military wife when american soldier came out. I played it for me and my girls on repeat when he was gone. I still cry hearing it and and courtesy of the red, white and blue. And played should have been a cowboy all the way to cali when we got stationed there for flight training. Far from Mississippi and florida. Got to see him twice in concert. Love all his songs and his humor. We all loved him.. but not as much as you and your family. Heartbreaking. Im so sorry. Know that he is in perfect heaven and having a blast with his dad and you'll be together one day again. God bless you and your family. I read somewhere and it comforts me that they are not sad in heaven like we are here. Its as if no time has passed for them when we get to heaven too. We just hurt here. ❤

Krystal, i wish this message would get personally read by you, for you to truely know how sorry i am to hear about your dad. Alot of generations have their own hero of country music. George Jones, Hank Jr., Conway, mine would honestly have to be Toby. At the turning point of the late 90's early 2000's I was late teen, young adult. His music was all chart topping and the songs was the voice of what millions of people wanted to say at times. The chorus of courtesy was on point. Your dad was my hero, just a good ol country boy enjoying what he did for a living and putting God, country, and family first. It was heartbreaking to see what cancer had done to him as ive seen that disease take a toll on so many of my family members. But he never gave up, he did what he loved until the very end. You have a beautiful voice and i would love for you to carry on through the sound of music. God bless you and the rest of the Cavel family during this time. I thank God for giving the world Toby Keith and being the voice for many blue collared, patriotic americans as myself.

Tears keep falling all day each day since he left us, grieving terribly the loss of such a man as Toby. I wake with his music in my head and go to sleep just the same. We cry for our loss of such a fine faithful man who loved others, his country, gave of himself in so many ways, stood up for what is right, loved his family and God above All. This world can bring us to our knees, and when it does Jesus is there to comfort and lift us up. That is where your Dad got his strength, he leaned into Christ when things got hard and loved him with gratitude for all his blessings when things were good.
He will be able to answer the Almighty with confidence that he loved others as himself and God above all as Christ Jesus commanded us to do.

I would love to have that dance with my daddy when I got married, but daddy died when I was almost 12 years old. But I never forgot the Dances my daddy had with me as a child. I could still see him picking me up dancing with me around the floor. Mama laughing . The memories are engraved in my heart ❤️ for eternity. Know one can step in my daddy's shoes. He was filled with so much Loved for me and our family. Worked his self so hard to provide for us. A Real man.He died suddenly one day from a Heart attack at work . My heart still waits for him to come home. 54 years later I realized I will go home to my daddy in Heaven, where God will allow him to greet me at the gates of Heaven, dancing me in. I am an old man now, this song was not around when my three daughters got married. Now my wife and I are fast approaching 50 years of marriage. He speaks about you during that interview which led me to this video. Been wiping away the tears all along. Your dad ‘s face literally up and said no you were the momma of 2 ( I think that’s the number,I was too inthralled with his facial expression) beautiful babies and she’s so happy being a momma . speaking as a dad my daughter got engaged a few weeks ago. They have set the date for august 2016. Breanna is my only daughter I have been a single dad since she was 3 years old. I have raised her and her younger brother on my own. She is my baby girl,and this is the song she wants to dance to. I love her so much it has been tough for the three of us, and it I'd so hard to let her go. I knew how wonderful a person I raised when she told her little brother who is only 17 .That she wanted him and I to walk her down the aisle together. Her brother is a tough kid when he hugged her and he cried I realized I did a good job.

I lost my dad a little over a year ago on my daughters birthday. Some things in life words can't describe so I will not even attempt to. I know there is nothing new under the sun but they are new to each of us when we go through them. One of my dads hospice nurses told me at my dads funeral to carry on with my dads story telling. He would tell them stories as they carried for him. So I have done just that and I have found it to be therapy for such hurt in missing him. My advise to you is keep singing, writing and keep your dads spirit of music going through you.

I heard this song for the first time a few days after my daddy died. I married my husband Sept 2 years ago. we didn't get a father daughter dance because he couldn't walk. I was five months pregnant with his first granddaughter when he died. After I heard this song I swear I have never cried so much in my life. I played it over and over again and just bawled. my husband thought I was crazy.

I'm currently disabled, and can't walk, but I'm working at getting back on my feet. My daughter (18) was talking to me last night, and told me, "You have to get well, so you can dance at my wedding." I told her "that will happen." I wanted to find a good song to share with her...I think I just did. Of course, you can only imagine the tears rolling down my face while watching this. Absolutely beautiful. I lost my dad in 1997 and understand the pain Krystal must be feeling. I saw an interview with Toby and he was talking about this song and how proud he was. You sprung it on him at your wedding and he said he cried. My dad would have teared up to. Your dad was great his music awesome he will be missed. I pray you find peace in God.
