Fascinating video. I visited this house in 1972 when I was an undergraduate studying politics on the Washington Semester at nearby American University. Wilson was a racist yet also a very great man, a real contradiction. He fought against injustice and inequality in his career yet as a son of the South supported Jim Crow.

I’m so glad you think so - those are the reasons why I reached out to her in the first place! I watched some of her shorts and thought I just had to work with her. ♥️

I want to take every one of the tours she mentions at the end and i want Ms. Karcher to lead each one! I toured the house once about 25 years ago and my guide that day really made the history of the building come alive. Ms. Karcher has that same ability and then some. Thanks so much for a great video!

I been on that tour - very good and a lovely home. One has to walk up a pretty steep hill, but down the street is a textile museum as well.

He Resegregated the federal civil service !
After the civil war blacks could get jobs there like any other citizen ,
      Wilson reversed this.
Sigmund Freud disliked him so much he wrote a book about it !!!

Ken J. All you need to say is that you’re a conscientious person and that Wilson was a known racist.
