My gf wanted to take advantage of free birthday gifts also but didn't due to everything being far away lol so we just did the normal thing and pay for dinner. NYC seems so fun and stressful all at the same time.
Yeah, it really is. Only manhattan though. I live in Queens and it’s great. Diverse neighborhood and a lot of stores and restaurants so there’s a lot you can do and mostly everything is walking distance. Not to mention, there’s always people outside no matter what time because I live right by a university. It feels very alive if you know what I mean.
It’s only stressful if you live in manhattan because it’s really loud but also the places you live in are cramped and small (unless you’re a millionaire).
For us that don't live in New York City New York City seems fun exciting and great I'm from Baltimore I was in New York frequently and part of me really loves the city I thought about moving there but what turns me off is the space this is just not enough damn space and people can't drive
@kay scott Bro I live in the Hood. And it definitely not as deep as you're making it to be. Yes everyday is a work day, but there's anyways something to do for fun.
I went there over spring break and it was exactly that. My friends had been living there for a few years so they were used to the fast paced lifestyle and getting on the subway the second you get down there (if the doors are open ofc) and always knew exactly when to get off. I had fun but there was no time to process anything
New York is so fun like that, and it is the most convenient place ever.
Honestly i‘d get too embarrassed telling them it was my birthday and i want something for free💀

For the krispy kreme one, iirc, you just ask them to scan your rewards barcode. The person asked me what i wanted and i told him a dozen doughnuts, and then he just scanned my phone and gave them to me.
Lol sometimes you can just order it through the app’s, but for sephora just say Hi I came for my birthday gift lol they know exactly what you’re talking about and its super easy

I was in a tough spot for months, and I got by from using about 20-30 food apps and putting a different month for my birthdays. I had about 5 apps per month of free food. It doesn’t hurt anyone because you’re still going to only use it once a year, you’re just putting a different date than your birthday. And I got lucky sometimes, like Frischs gave me my free burger but didn’t scan the coupon, so I got 2 free ones haha.

I’ve been doing this for a while. I hate that the free drink from Starbucks was only valid on my birthday. Most places is good for a week, a month or 30 days after your birthday. Check expiration dates on free items.

From Superdrug, you can get a few things, but you have to be signed up for the rewards thing. Otherwise, I don’t think there’s anything else in the UK.

for those who are struggling: try to go to your local pizza place at closing time, and if it’s quite obvious you’re homeless/struggling we’ll give u a few slices of any leftover pizza we have or if you’re a regular who’s struggling & u always come in a few times a week and we don’t have leftover pizza we’ll make you a small pep or cheese. it all depends on the employee but personally idc abt my job enough so I make them free mini pizzas and give them whatever sauce they want. you always have to put yourself in others shoes and be kind. just imagine you’re them…you wouldn’t want someone to tell you to piss off and starve

Yesss!!!! The first time I shopped at Sephora they gave me free skin care for signing up with the rewards( FOR FREE!!!) and even tho my birthday was a few months earlier the manager still let me get a bday gift!!!
Btw (I had to learn this day before my birthday) you can’t just make a Starbucks account and get the reward. You have to make it at least 7 days in advance (of your birthday) and have made a purchase through you app within the last 12 months. Also, you can’t like input receipts from previous purchases into your account, I double check with customer support and they told me to use my app properly…
