Throne of glass is amazing. I only read the first one cause, here in Argentina, the second book is sold out both in spanish and english - at least until next month when they import some more.
I'm currently reading the second book of the Shatter me trilogy and, so far, I'm loving it.
I think you'll really enjoy them.

I honestly have to say that Vampire Academy (and Bloodlines) is one of my all time favourite series. I read it throughout high school/cegep so its one of those comfort reads whenever I pick it back up. Also, don't let anyone spoil it for you, obviously.

Oh girl, you need to get on to reading the Infernal Devices stat! I am not kidding when I say that it is one of the most well put together and satisfying trilogies out there right now in the YA genre. It will make you laugh, cry, want to throw your book across the room, and that ending was something else!

  • @ZakiyaDeliefde

I have the unpopular opinion of hating the shatter me series. I felt like it was cheesy and unpredictable, I didn't like any of the male characters and the main female character was particularly likeable. To top that off I didn't like the plot either haha.
Throne of Glass is worth reading, but along with most people I think the most recent book was disappointing.

I'm in the middle of reading The Remnant Chronicle series, just started the second one actually and I love it! The guessing game in the first one keeps you addicted. As for Throne of Glass series, it's my favorite series, yeah some of the books aren't as good as the first 3 but it all makes sense for Celaena's journey in the end. They're action packed and keep you glued to the book so definitely worth the read.

I can so relate to not reading a book that you know you'll love and just postponing it. I ALWAYS do that! I keep such books on my table, look at them and feel happy. it's like I am keeping a happy time stored in a book and no matter what happens in the future that happy time will always be there for me t go to. I know I dont make much sense but yup I do save books that I know I'll love.

You have to read the name of the wind. It's sooooo good, tho I understand the struggle of waiting for the third book so you should probably wait and when you want to feel totally overwhelmed by a book, read it. It's my ultimate favorite book, it's really good!!! And you need to read outlander too , it's also one of my favorite series. The series is huge but while you're reading it, the books will feel small because once you start, you just can't stop and you just want more and more.

I loved Vampire Academy and The Mortal Instruments! I have the Infernal Devices but I haven't read them yet.
I push back reading books that I'm super excited about, too! It's like I'm too caught up in the excitement about the book that I don't want to read it in case it's not as exciting as I made it out to be in my head. Guess I better get over that because that means I have quite a few books that I need to read! ❤️❤️

  • @mollygrosvenor5636

I feel the same way about books you're excited for! Sometimes I just keep pushing them off but I don't know why I do it. The first Outlander book, in my opinion, was really good and I don't remember it being slow. Another historical fiction series I think you might enjoy is the Veronica Speedwell mysteries by Deanna Raybourn. The second one comes out in January, the first is quite short (300 pages) but I really loved it and can't wait for the next one!!

Vampire Academy and Bloodlines are both excellent series! I don't know what they were thinking when they did the covers for the Vampire Academy series. Even Richelle Mead has said on her website that she has no idea who some of the people on the covers are supposed to be (she had no say in the design). I just got the 10th anniversary edition of the first Vampire Academy book in the mail today and I'm so stoked to read the new mini stories that come with it!

I've been meaning to read The Wheel of Time series forever, but the length really is intimidating. My brother loves it and highly recommends it. He also has almost all of them signed. I hope to get around to it at some point... I definitely became more interested once Brandon Sanderson took over writing after Robert Jordan passed away. I love Brandon Sanderson, and his hand being in it at all makes me feel like it will be worth the time.

I have read Wheel of Time twice, at least all the pre-Sanderson books. It’s very good and there is no need to be intimidated. The first 3-5 books all work as standalone novels as well as part of a series. So you can read Eye of the World and not have to commit to the whole thing. The middle of the series becomes a very long middle, and as the books were coming out, it felt to many of us like Jordan had lost control of his world, and was mired in pointless detail. Then he seemed to find his way again with his last book or two, and then he died. Sanderson took over and I think he did a great job wrapping things up, and staying true to the series while at the same time winking at some of Jordan’s quirks. And, as only he does, Sanderson really thought through the implications of some of the magic that had been used before, and does really coo, things with it that Jordan never had though of (most obvious example is Jordan’s use of opening a portal to travel from one place to another. Sanderson has a field day with the implications of that.). Another plus, as a new reader and a lover of Sanderson, is that he kept a blog about the books as he re-read them in preparation for his writing. I think you would like.

Vampire Academy is really amazing, it's not as fluffy and light as it seems. The second book was my favorite. You actually don't have to read the Mortal Instruments series to read the Infernal Devices. Cassandra Clare just wrote them in that order you mentioned. But the last book in the TMI series includes spoilers for the TID series. The TID series is one of my absolute favourites! The TMI series gets better with each book in my opinion.

  • @vaibhavih4705
    @vaibhavih4705 7 лет назад

I read Outlander, and I really loved it, but I get what you mean about it being a commitment. It is pretty slow paced and descriptive, but that's something I enjoy. The writing is really beautiful! And I felt like the book had great plot twists, kickass characters, romance, and action scenes. It's definitely not a YA though. There are graphic scenes both in terms of violence and sex. Because it was so long, I was actually mentally exhausted after reading it though, so I've resolved myself to leaving a year between each book.

I know lots of people like more the previous covers for Vampire academy, but the series are just amazing (just love it). However the Bloodline series I enjoyed but did not love it because a certain character (Read the VA first). Also read the Infernal Devices , you will love it ( I stooped reading TMI after the 2nd book and read the devices and just loved it, and had to read after the TMI because I wanted to see more about some characters from the Infernal ). Also is a good idea to read TMI and Infernal Devices in the order that have been published. Have the same problem with a series that I love but it connects with another series and in total there will be 40 books , it really intimidating (they are 4-60 pages books); and about the Throne of Glass (read only first book) I got spoiled and do not really want to continue anymore. Shatter Me I just love it, only read the trilogy not the novel, people have said I do not miss much.

I am on the third book of the Throne of Glass series and I absolutely love it! I'm at the point in the series where I can see how some people would drop off and not care to finish, but I still think it's worth checking out!
I wouldn't say Vampire Academy is a light fluffy series as I cried too many times, but it is a good one to check out! I find the series as a whole to be one of my favorites. I started Bloodlines (the spin-off) but I didn't get past the second book. It just wasn't as good as the original.

Vampire Academy is so worth it, seriously! It is very addictive :) Regarding the Mortal Instruments series, it gets better with the third book, that's for sure. I really recommend you give that one a try to get more into it! The Remnant Chronicles is so good, I have read the first two books in the trilogy and I am looking forward to the third!

I haven't read a lot of these either, but out of the ones I have read, I would say definitely read TID (waaaaay better than TMI), at least the first book of outlander (I loved the first one but I read book 2 and 3 and lost interest), the Remnant Chronicles, the Throne of Glass series, and the Raven Cycle. They're all so good!!

First off start off with Throne of Glass!!! That was the first YA series for me and I LOVE IT! And then you have to read Cassandra Clare the series will make you feel like a Shadow Hunter and then last I say Misborn bc I heard awesome reviews and I'm about to order it right now. lol

I just finished Mistborn. That book. IT IS AMAZING. The world building, the characters, the plot... everything. I'm now starting on The Wells of Ascension. Brandon Sanderson's writing is so enjoyable!!! Once you start the trilogy you HAVE to finish it. I advise you just finish the mistborn trilogy before the other books you have. ;)

omg,PLEASE READ THRONE OF GLASS SERIES! they go really fast and there is a prequel too(its 3 novellas in one book). I understand why people are not happy with the last one,but they are still a wonderful world that I enjoyed being part of.

I havent read the vampire academy series yet too, and I plan to marathon the series this fall before this year ends! Because so many people said it is so good and it's popular too.

I read the Name of the Wind and a bit of the second book in my mother language (Portuguese) and I freaking fell in love. Now I really want to re-read in english but I too have been putting it off because the third book is taking forever to come out, and I hate it because I loved the first book.
I'm currently reading City of Glass and I'll be reading Clockwork Angel next and the rest in the publishing order.
I'm not exactly new to reading but I'm new to reading in english so I haven't read basically any of the books you talked about too (except Name of the Wind, but since I want to re-read it in english I'm counting it xD)

The only books I have read that you mentioned are The Infernal Devices (and yes, I would absolutely recommend them) and the first two books in The Remnant Chronicles (also would definitely recommend). This video made me feel bad for all the books I haven't read yet lol. We're in this together!

You should read Throne of Glass, it's amazing, and even though is a long series is soo good, and you never know what to expect from them.. And Shatter me, is a good one.. If you read the novelas, it helps you to better understand the characters.

I love Throne of Glass and most of the series! I feel like everyone who has read them they all have one that is there least favorite and mine is the third one Heir of Fire but I have yet to really read the most current one. I read Shatter Me and Unravel Me (books one and two) last month and loved them! Definitely check them out soon!!

Bloodlines was a good spin off, and totally think it's worth it! And I think the Infernal Devices much more than the Mortal Instruments. It's very very much worth the read!
As for Throne of Glass I'm one of the people who started off loving the series and still loves it. It does change a lot from the first book to the most recent, which I think is one of the reason some people are turned off from it. Personally think it's worth a go to see for yourself. Can't really comment on Shatter Me. I tried to sit down and read it either late last year or early this year and just couldn't get into it no matter how hard I tried to.

The Infernal Devices is AMAZING! Much better than the Mortal Instruments. You have to read them. Also definitely read Throne of Glass, it's AMAZING as well. Throne of Glass and The Infernal Devices are 2 of my all time favorite series, I would definitely suggest starting with those. Vampire Academy gets better as the series goes on, I didn't love the first book but it gets much better. I need to read Mistborn, The Name of The Wind, Shatter Me trilogy, and Outlander. I really liked Kiss of Deception but I haven't continued with the series yet.

I haven't finished Wheel of Time yet, but I've loved what I've read so far! Eye of the World was such a sloooow start for me, but once you get through the first 5 chapters it picks up and it is so good! I think I made it to book 10 before I lost steam. I really need to finish it. I've been working on it for, like, 10 years. 😳 I think it's a series that you can read other books between. So if you're loving it but it's just too much, pick up another book and come back to WoT later.

The Raven Cycle is sooo good, one of my favourites of all time. And The Infernal Devices is definitely better then TMI, I recommend it to people who couldn't get into TMI it's just better imo.

Have you heard of the Sword of Truth series? It's a rough one (~12 books) however the first book is really really good. You can basically read it as a one shot out of the series. I really recommend it!

I love Outlander but I really like the audio book. Davina Portor does an amazing job. The series does get slow at points and I think it was about the third book that I got really annoyed with one of the characters but that was just a part of it. It's a good series to take your time with and just savor it

You should really read Vampire Academy (and Bloodlines).
I like the Mortal Instruments more than the Infernal Devices but they're both really good. You should read TID before reading book 4, 5 and 6 of TMI. Then you should read all the other books by Cassandra Clare that are set in the Shadowhunters universe. You'll love it! No other author finishes their series as awesome as Clare does it.

Congrats on your(s) channel(s)! It would be nice to create a kind of a book club. For example, you introduce a book that you would like to read and a month later you do a video with your thoughts about it after having read it. "The book of the month serie" Your subscribers can read it too and see if we share the same opinion. It might be fun, I think... Just an idea ☺️
