You better get flood insurance. Your directly in the path of a rapid flood when it heavily rains. That's why they built that burm you took out to keep the water from coming towards the house.
What a nightmare project but it turned out great! Now you got to fix the old driveway since the edges are all cracked off. Can't wait for the shop build
I would also get stacks of sand bags around the side of house as a safety measure against flooding. Water always takes the least path of resistance and your home looks to be in the way now.
Bro I was changed my Duke 390 piston kit last week from KTM showroom and now my bike runned 321 kilometres after work but my problem is my bike shows little bit smoke on high reves plz tell me whats the reson behind this..
I don't see this working if you ask me. The water will still ruin your drive afterwards. You should place a precast culvert and have it put in place. They can be low and wide. It is obvious that the guys doing this have no experience with this particular type of job. There needs to be some grading going on here as well.
(I live in the Thames valley U.K. so flooding is commonplace) As your house is at the lowest point I guess you will need some effective french drains around the house and if it’s likely to pool just there maybe a couple of automatic sub-sump pumps could help. Also keep all of your ground floors ceramic or water impervious and furniture that can be lifted. Also run all your electrics from the upstairs floor and maybe keep the power outlets a metre or so off the ground. Good luck!
So at 8 trucks if pallet form of 100 pound bags would of cost you around $6700, plus $1200 in rocks. Buy a good machine and equipment, it would of cost you around 11k to do the work yourself. Lmfaooooo you wouldn’t have a life or a back but you would save 75% 😂😂😂😂😂😂 great job though. Looks amazing 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Damn, that’s a lot more than I would have thought…There again I’m sure it’s a lot bigger than it seems in tv. Looks great and I hope the driveway works out like you’re hoping when it does flood.
Great Vlog thats a lot of Concrete for sure and yes put rifraf on allover the flood area it will help keep the soil in Place But yes I agree looks good

I know it's too late now; but did you cosider a small bridge over the low spot? Much less resistance for the water.
Love these videos brother glad to see you going strong

Great vídeo 💪
Looking good! Did they lift the rebar during the pour? If not, it won't do anything to strengthen the concrete.
Keep up the great videos, can't wait to see more content, all the way from UK 🇬🇧
