For Apple devices you have 'over the air' provisioning; which uses the built-in Apple profiles. So for those platforms you don't need an app. The Android Onboarding uses the QuickConnect App that is available in Google Play. Windows and Linux will download the application on-the-fly; so you will download QuickConnect during the Onboarding process.
If you view the next video in the series, you will see the Windows Onboarding in action.

Hi Herman, thanks on this series on ClearPass (just in time for incoming project :-)). Would it be possible to record Wireless 1.5 episode where we can see how to do 2-SSID solution? Thanks, and keep up good work!

I'm running a 'Workshop series' right now, and you can expect there (should be posted over the coming 2 weeks) an example on how to setup a 2 SSID Onboarding. Stay tuned!

So do you need the Quick Connect app for iOS devices as well? Is an app required for Windows devices?

    Hi Herman,
Would the external captive portal setup work on bridged SSIDs? As the captive portal feature is marked as unsupported in bridged mode SSIDs.
    Thanks,
    Yazeed

Yazeed, For controller based deployments, you should probably pick tunneled mode as indeed bridge-mode SSIDs do not support the redirects required for Captive portal at the AP. If you use bridge mode with Aruba Instant, it is supported; and deployments requiring bridged mode are in many cases better off with Aruba Instant (as always, exceptions apply).
