God, this is one year before now, why am I commenting? Anyway, I don't think the kakapo is a rainforest bird, I believe it's a new-Zealand alpine (mountainous) bird, I could be wrong but I remember that from somewhere.

first of all kakapos are NOT jungle birds secondly you can NOT have the as pets as they are endagered
… uh… this is a fantasy world… you may not be able to keep them irl, but this is a world filled with dragons…

They are indeed not jungle birds :3 here where they are native we don't have many jungles! More bushes and small woodlands :3
