    My cousin fought malignant melanoma skin cancer between the ages of 13 and 16, undergoing multiple surgeries, rounds of chemo and radiotherapy and metastases until she was finally declared cancer-free. She now is living a cancer-free life, more than 20 years later and even has a young child, despite being warned she probably would never be able to.

      That’s awesome that she was able to be cancer-free at the end, and even more awesome that she was able to have a child! It must have been unbearable in the moment tho, not knowing what her future would be like. May I ask you a question though? In your sentence you wrote “ rounds of chemo and radiotherapy and metastases ”
      You do know that metastasis means that the cancer has spread?

    • @juliemcgugan1244
      @juliemcgugan1244 8 месяцев назад +4

      @@pennycandyys Yep, it spread from the initial site, up her leg, to her lymph nodes, despite having a large chunk cut out of her shin. Sadly, it wasn't caught early. She had to have many of her lymph nodes surgically removed and follow-up chemo and radiotherapy, after the surgery on the secondary cancer. Luckily, they had been keeping a close eye on her leg, because usually tumours like that would spread to the knee next, but she was seeing oncologists most weeks.

    Omg, my dermatologist did to me first and second degree burns on my face and neck. These regions were treated with "Piqo laser" . I had melasma.
    Now I have much bigger chance for skin cancer. I never go outside without suncreen SPF 50. I can not sunbathing anymore.
    Laser in this situation is not solution. (After skin cancer). Skin is so sensitive, demage, and laser is not for skin like that.
    PRP-injective treatmen is much more better for skin and this treatment can not be dangerous.
    Doctors never tell the negative side of laser treatment.

    Been able to trust when something has gone wrong is like climbing Mount Everest. In a completely different part of the body. I now have a life long fear of dentists. It's so bad that I have no teeth left. Three separate dentists hurt me so badly I don't ever want to go into a dentist again. The first one didn't even wait for the gum numbing to take place before he started yanking out my tooth. The worst one though put me in the hospital after injecting me with not one but 6 vials of cocaine. I went into cardiac arrest and woke up in the hospital. Vanity whether we want to admit it to ourselves or not is a very powerful emotion it controls everything in a woman especially. I now have acrophobia due to my lack of teeth and have not stepped foot out of my house for 10 years unless it has been by ambulance.
