    Thanks for sharing your tips and tricks. I'm 28 years old and have just started shooting, bare too. The bow I bought came with all the stabilisers and peep sights etc. I couldn't be bothered with any of it! You inspire a lot of confidence in shooting bare, you're a whiz of a shot and so is your son. Keep it up!

    Hi. I enjoy your videos. Thank you for posting.
    I have a brand new phoenix long. I shot my first 50 arrows (500 spine) and it was great, then I bought new 400 spine arrows from Amazon, and on my second arrow a cable came off.(second time I shot with it) I think the new arrows were too light weight and the bow felt like if I was dry firing, I think that's why the cable came off.
    What arrows do you recommend?
    I put the same arrow rest that you use in your bow from this video.
    I like real feathers.
    I have a Phoenix long setup at 50lbs.
    Thank you.

    • @TRIBEDRAKE
      @TRIBEDRAKE  3 года назад

      I shoot goldtip 340 spine
      500 are pretty light for the lever bow
      Some guys go real heavy but my arrows are about 446 grains
      Goldtip 340 with 125 grain point
      My bow is also 50 lbs

    I have an Oneida black eagle, having some issues tuning bare shaft, but seeing how close to the riser your rest is, it does make me wonder if that’ll work for me. Dang bareshsft is flying like a weak arrow. A foot to the the right of a fletched arrow. I’ll give it a shot

    • @TRIBEDRAKE
      @TRIBEDRAKE  3 года назад

      Start with the rest close to riser and work out from there, nock height usually about 3/8 , maybe 1/2 above center
      Mine will show weak also once in a while, also shoot broadheads with fletched arrows and see how they respond

    I shoot Oneida eagle phoenix med and I love it. I was wondering if your bow was quite from factory or only after u added cat whiskers? I've added 4 limb dampers and cat whiskers to get mine some what quite but I'm still not satisfied yet

    • @TRIBEDRAKE
      @TRIBEDRAKE  3 года назад

      Yes it’s quiet, even without whiskers, my brace is 6 3/16 from lowest part of grip to the inside of the string serving, string stops against string at rest

    My draw length is 29", would you think a medium would be ok for me? I do like to share my bows with my girlfriend she is at 27" draw length.
    2nd question. Are you having trouble getting replacement parts right now? Oneida's website has the backup bag of cables for long always on "Sold Out" this is also why I'm leaning towards getting a medium.

    • @TRIBEDRAKE
      @TRIBEDRAKE  3 года назад

      I would just order the cables separately or call Oneida direct and ask.
      Medium would be perfect, use the E mods or the F modules
