I love the base game so much and this feels almost like honey buzz 2.0, sad it took an entire expansion to get there but I will buy it If I find it discounted
At 14:43, you show that once the cell is formed and you take the actions, you placed the new bee on your player board. In the base game, the new bee goes in the nursery. (page 9 of rulebook). Does this rule change with this expansion?
Is that little hive area not the nursery? I could be wrong as I am not a Honey Buzz expert, but I thought that was the nursery. Then once you retrieve it comes into play. The rule didn't change with the expansion.
@@ShouldIBuyThisBoardGame Oh, sorry, it happens at 8:01. The new bee you get from making your cell, goes on the main board in the nursery. You put it in your personal bee hive. When you recall worker bees on your turn, you then can take the baby bees from the nursery at the top of the board back to your personal hive, to be used with your other worker bees you retrieved, at the beginning of your next turn.
It seems a lot of this should've been in the base game. Because the base game is a bit too basic. It just kinda irks me that expansions seem to be money makers. Begrudgingly, I'll have to buy this expansion to give the base game more depth.
I agree the base was okay but with the expansion it made me love it.

Oh, so I got the nursery and personal board mixed up. I used the bees correctly but put them in the wrong place.
@@ShouldIBuyThisBoardGame Thanks for the video. This game is so beautiful, it's a joy to play.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought Honey Buzz was basic. All I hear is praise for the game. But yes, the expansion does add a lot to the game.
