I love the base game so much and this feels almost like honey buzz 2.0, sad it took an entire expansion to get there but I will buy it If I find it discounted

It seems a lot of this should've been in the base game. Because the base game is a bit too basic. It just kinda irks me that expansions seem to be money makers. Begrudgingly, I'll have to buy this expansion to give the base game more depth.

This is really interesting to me because I avoid all roll and writes that include any form of drawing! I am much more of a mark a box roll & write player, Hadrian's' Wall and Three Sisters are probably my favourites. I have recently picked up Welcome to.. the Moon and although I have a laminator and I have laminated some of my favourite R&WsI do prefer paper to laminated boards so I haven't played it yet!

Flip/Roll and Writes are great fun - I especially like the thinker ones - eg. by Motor City Games (Three Sisters, Motor City, French Quarter), Draft & Write Records, or the thinkiest of all, Hadrians Wall!!!

I was not expecting this to be as light as it appeared! It also feels more luck based and a little frustrating with that die possibly rolling super strike. I still think it looks good for family play.

The umbrella placement rules sort of give me Azul vibes. I really enjoy Azul and wonder if this would be a good addition since there are multiple things happening strategy wise or if it would feel too similar?

I have been debating buying the base game and you have convinced me that I would enjoy it, due to how relaxing it appears to be. I may or may not go for the expansion at the same time.

I am glad I watched this video because I would never have tried the game based on the title. I am not a fan of war or dungeon crawlers. But finding out that it is cooperative and not a war game was a nice surprise! I will check it out!

I love this game. I have both expansions, U&D and Wessex, adding a 6th house. I love playing the solo mode. I agree the rule book is intense but the designer has released so many how to videos that I rarely have unanswered questions. I use the appendix for many answers. I highly recommend this game and at least the U&D expansion. The game is pretty lengthy so playing with Wessex as a six player makes it that much longer. I do like the builder market movement with higher player count, so there is that.

Great explanation video! I think your camera work is really great, your audio sounds good, and the examples really help. The only suggestion that I have is I think you should always explain to the viewer what it is players do on their turn. If they have multiple options, just go through them one at a time. I had to deduce (get it?) from your explanation that a player's options are either 1.) to guess a tile from someone else, as long as they also have that tile, or 2.) they could discard any remaining tiles that no one else has. It would have been helpful if you could just mention what a player's optional actions are, followed by your examples. Everything else about this is great! Keep up the great work!

I think it is a great game, but i agree with you that you must play it more times to understand and comprehend all those possible to make a good strategy. But i think that is eith lots of worker-placement games and expert games. Unfortunately i do not have such friends. Tgey want to understand everything immediately

I am new to everything Cascadia and am enjoying both sets of roll and writes and the original game, but it's all brand new to me. I like the mechanical difference between a roll and write and the base game. But really really appreciate a matter of fact 'not for me' review - no hyperbole. So here's a comment, like and subscribe.

I played this once this past week and loved Cascadia! I also did really good! I am thinking of getting Cascadia to play with family because they love eco tourism, nature, and eco justice!

Thank you for an honest review, I appreciate your opinion and very much agree. One small thing - I am fairly sure that the nature token is supposed to be a (pine) cone, not a leaf. It might have changed for the RW version, though.
