I have the feeling if you met him on the street he would genuinely be pleased to meet you. Been a fan of this man since i was 8 years old, and I would be more awe struck to meet him more than any other actor in the states. Hes refreshing...wont see him on TMZ
I could listen to him talk for days on end. He is so eloquent, so interesting and has such a beautiful command of the English language. Best actor ever and second overall in terms of Cinema behind Chaplin.
Tell me about it. So many interviewers interrupt these days, some to a very rude level, like Piers Morgan. It's just basic etiquette, which seems to be fading.
Daniel's been nominated best actor three times in a row, no one else has that. He admires him just like the majority of people that are going to watch this. That's a incredibly homophobic thing to say...
@tym22 i don't agree Johnny Depp is, but for some reason johnny never got a good interviewer like this, if johnny released an autobioghraphy it would be remarkable stuff. still this is the best interview of an actor i have ever seen.
This is terrific interview. Probably the best I have seen of Lewis. You get a sense of what a generous and great actor Lewis is. Love this when i first saw it on DVD.
I have a life so similar to Danny. I felt alienated my own society (America) socially and culturally, one of my grandpas intimidated me as a kid and I love acting just the same.
Im desperatly in love with this man
Rebecca Monroe same here, and I’m heterosexual
You are cute too
Me too, he's too gorgeous and smart.
Me too, he's too gorgeous and smart.
He makes you fall in love with the english language, I've never heard someone speak more elegantly than him , he is like a poète !!
What a lovely man
he talks like he's writting an autobiography lol
what a legend
There is NO other actor on Earth quite like this one. I love this guy for his passion and humility. I only wish he had more Films
Yes he is gorgeous but I think his modesty about his OBVIOUS extrodinary acting talent and his talent itself far eclipses what he looks like.
his ability to change his voice is uncanny.

this might be the only youtube video that i've seen without a single dislike :) there is something right in the world
Daniel is a great person and actor!
I can't believe this soft spoken man was Bill the Butcher. Amazing.
DDL is walking acting lesson. I can only dream to be in a film role that is as remarkable as his. But one day...
I am addicted to listening to this man everyday.

It just blows my mind wide open that Daniel Day Lewis and Daniel Plainview are the same man.
Daniel is simply the best.
IRELAND!!!
I love it when the great DDL speak of Ireland so fondly
i just love how he suddenly cracks up hahaha, OH, Daniel ..
His voice is really soothing lol, its really good to have as background noise.

An Irishman at Heart.
His voice
He’s like a dream
Daniel is the best of English and Irish.. fair dues to him.
@JJMM33
he really is amazing. i would honestly bow at his feet for his talent.

It's hard to interrupt someone when you're memorized bye their insight into a subject
Lo amo, podría escucharlo por horas

Daniel would play a great "Howard Roark"
his ability to change his voice is uncanny.
Thanks for the Daniel videos!
Amen on that shit about boarding school
I often wonder if you will return to acting because he is dearly missed take care of my brother
Great actor 👏👏👏
He looks a little like Morrissey.
Sudden squeaky laugh at 3:26.
MY DREAM is that him and Heath have a inteltectual conversation with each other
great
Daniel Day Lewis, or Gary Oldman to play the joker!
I know Oldman is already the commissioner, but he can play two chars.
I know its been 3 years since your comment and many, many people have told you already, but the answer is Richard Brown.
He and Jim Caviezel are quite similar somehow
Definitely, well, anyone out of that novel anyway. But with his aging I'd think he'd pull off Wynand.
Yes, sort of. I haven't gotten a lot of roles and I'm preoccupied with filmmaking as a student.
Richard Brown, at least as far as the description is to be trusted.
Colin Firth is a gorgeous & delightful man, too.
il est si beau je creve
Also Bill the Butcher and Lincoln.
Where do you go to film school? USC?
Webster University in Saint Louis.
are you an actor?
Richard Brown :)
