I miss Baguio City I used to shop there before going down to San Fernando La Union, when I was studying in university there to buy vegetables and flower for my mum. Shout out to all who graduated students who studied in all universities. Give me a thumps up. Greetings from Hastings England UK.
Si ate Nelly po jewish din po siya kaya thankful po siya sa mga Pilipino kasi po dati po pinatira ng mga Pilipino yung ibang jewish sa Pilipinas atsaka niligtas sila.
For fresh veggies, fruits, and flowers, BAGUIO it is. Compared to other markets in other provinces and those within Metro Manila, the products from Baguio are as fresh as they can go. That's the same reason why the prices are much lower than Manila, because they are the source. Thank you for featuring Baguio Market and all the other wonderful sites there. Enjoy.
Hi! First of all, I would like to thank you for making a video on Baguio City Market and the fact that you stated that Baguio City Market is one of the prettiest markets you've seen worldwide -- is such a huge compliment, considering the vast amounts of places you've traveled. The thing is I grew up in Baguio City Market along with many others who continue to depend on Baguio City Market for their source of income and livelihood, and through the years our local government has been very keen to sell it to big corporations to "modernize" our market, but in reality, they want to build up another mall to replace our city market. Recently, our present Mayor, Benjamin Magalong sold the City Market to the SM corporation and has been in talks with them to demolish the present market and replace it with ANOTHER SM mall, and we know we already have too much of that. Not only will it affect hundreds of livelihoods here in our city but also from neighboring towns, but it will take away the presence and one of the remaining essence of Baguio City. SM and other big corporations have already wiped out numerous trees and beautiful landscapes for their malls and condominiums, all for their greed and to increase their already huge pockets. So again, I really thank you for making a video that appreciates one of our city's most prized possessions and I hope through this video people around the world could bear witness to the impending doom our local government and huge corporations are imposing on our treasured market and through this video, it could vocalize that one of the reasons Baguio City is a good place to visit is because of Baguio City Market.
The Highlands people are a very proud people. I was in Baguio with relatives in 1976 and camped out in the wilds. In those days, everything was green, very few houses. That place was noted for silver jewellery. I wonder what happened because I bought a silver bracelet. 1976 was the lsat time I visited Baguio. They are very lucky now because their mayor is upright gentleman, strict and incorruptible. A cousin of mine is a personal friend and she attests to his reputation. Thanks for featuring the market.
@Analyn Mcslow well compare to mistakes he did.. he still did a lot of Good things for baguio.. check them out.. remember black dot is more visible in a whiteboard..
I bought a silver necklace from what looked to be a pretty established jewellery store there just outside the overlooking view (forgot what it’s called) and in only a matter of months, the necklace discolored. Wasn’t happy at all. Bought that for 5k. But other than that I had a pretty good time.
I spent five years in Baguio city, I went to saint Louis university so I know how nice Baguio is. I t was even better before than now . I still miss it. Thanks for featuring the market. Take care always
Hi Mike and Nelly. My wife and I love watching your vids. Also George and Lucy’s. We love you guys. You inspires us in every way. As frontliners (working in nhs critical care), watching your vlogs keep us smiling. Hope we Made it Happened....500k. Congrats. Love to be part of your dream. Stay safe as always. God bless.
Am impressed, you went to the area where they unload veggies and really got them freshest and cheapest. Am a Baguio resident and don't go to the trouble of buying where you went. I just buy them closest to the exits.
Awwwwww thank you guys for exploring our City i love the way you said that Baguio is the best market in the world and i'm proud of it as you can see it's clean and tidy up all the things you should go over at camp john hay also anyway thank you for this beautiful video take care and be safe God bless❤️
Vegetables and fruits in Baguio Market is really cheaper than prices in Manila. Nelly has the right way of carrying bag which is in front of the body while in big public places.
Your veggies and fruits stay fresh longer when you wrap those with paper towel before you store into your refrigerator. For tomatoes, you must buy green ones that you do not use immediately and get some nearly ripe ones that you will cook or use immediately....same also with other fruits and veggies. Baguio sells cheaper fruits and veggies because it's near from Benguet where most plantations are situated. I miss Baguio😍🤩
All my friends and relatives already subscribed in your channel when i told them to help you guys...its nice to see your enjoying in our country..continue to amaze us of your journey..God bless
when in manila, try going to Farmers market in cubao, they have lots of things to buy at a reasonable prize, you have many varieties to choose from,fish,fruits,meat,veggies.everything.
Definitely Farmers Market in Cubao is a go to Wet & Dry Market... if you prefer an air conditioned supermarket, Shopwise also in Cubao is fairly priced compared to Rustans 😁
