This feels like a newlywed marriage where the honeymoon phase is over and the power dynamics begin to take center stage. Neither one wants to step on the others toes at first but eventually some one takes charge. It’s time to take charge Demeco!
Sean you make a good point in saying, "Stop saying everything is fixable when it clearly is not". That messaging is something that needs to be excised from the Texans PR lexicon. But I agree, if the offense hasn't been fixed as yet, then it won't be during the season. My personal belief is nothing will change until 4/5ths of the offensive line is replaced with capable personnel (you too, Schultz). Slowik has his faults, but make no mistake, there is no OC available who could operate with an offensive line this bad. Strausser is very suspect.
You gotta listen to Clint's 4 o'clock segment on his show from Wednesday. Sunday's loss wasn't Slowik's fault and he explains why clearly. His scheme wasn't the issue, players were open. Some of the players were terrible, e.g. Shaq Mason and yes CJ Stroud. Slowik isn't the only reason CJ is playing poorly either and I don't see anyone criticizing CJ for his poor play. It's not going to get better until those players play better or you get different players on this team and it's kind of hard to get different players after the trade deadline. So if the players aren't going to play better than that's something you have to do in the off-season.
I'm no football expert. But it seems to be Like without a good offensive line, the quarterback can't operate efficiently. This is effing up CJ for sure
CJ has more command of the offense? Why is he complaining that he's always in 3rd and long? The playcalling looks exactly the same as last year's. Run-run-pass. Reverse. Run. Trick play that doesn't work. Rinse and repeat.
I don't think they will really fix anything without an ultimatum from ownership. This team has all the signs of being poorly coached. They are undisciplined, unfocused, and unprepared. CJ is shell shot. The play calling is uncreative, repetitive, boring. When things don't work they just keep making the same stupid mistakes.
Houston is a football 🏈 city, we know poor team management (Demeco). He needs to have a sit down with Bobby. Bobby had Mechie blocking a DT.?.?.?? Wtf man
Thank you brother for spittin TRUTH!!!
This guy is one of the best Texan analyst on the net. He knows what he is talking about. Telling it like it is.
True

"Fix the G.d. thing"! Amen
I feel ya fixes this SHIT. I love DeMeco as a coach but if I was CAL they should tell him to get it together
still sad bro

Titans OL is also bad, but they were able to scheme around it.
Slowik keeps running Mixon against the strongest part of the Titans' DL.
We have enough to be respectable down the stretch but to be in the elite tier that o line has to be reconstructed.
It was Jerrod Johnson trying to pump CJ up on the sidelines.

I have a suggestion. Tuck Slowik in with the defensive coaches if DeMeco doesn't want to fire him.

Special teams ain't sht also. Never try to block punts or field goals, grinds my gears

Texans may probably lose the division. We keep going against those win-possibility stats.

Cal needs to have a seat down, Demeco.
