Yep. I bought one to make my RP setup easier, as the grind was just absurd. I understand their decision so I'm not mad and I underatand what they did.
Seems like the players who had hacked accounts from PS4 must be transfering their characters onto the PS5. How is it that Rockstar's Anti Cheat detection is not stopping these accounts and now they start to realzie that this is an issue?

I joined a free roam session on PS5 today, and there was at least 6 of them. It's gotten worse on PS5 over the past week. At least they're easy to identify.

PS5 here, can confirm it’s started. Some guy had a vendetta against me (for god only knows why) and was one of these accounts. Welp, some random guy killed me the other day, on a brand new account, and lo and behold it’s my dear frienemy!

There was once a player called treble-sweater9 who was trash. Treble-sweater9 knew he was trash because all he did was hide in his submarine and launch missiles in thermal. When his submarine was destroyed he would teleport to his apartment and call a new submarine. treble-sweater9 now has an account that’s banned because he’s trash. I told treble-sweater9 that I will have the last laugh. That’s why I destroyed his friend, streets5432

Yesterday in a PS5 Free Aim Lobby 50% of the Lobby were Level 8000 with - 2 Billion KD or 1 Billion + KD literally 15 out of 30 Players in one Lobby. Of course with the Usual Sweaty Names and Dudes simping to a Female Tryhard Account with Female Name which probably is a Dude that is melted together with his Couch.
Everyone was joking "why you glitching cayo perico, just install cheats". Now I only one from all my friends, who still have one first account 4 years since I started 😂😂😂

I can do every possible glitch, outfits, duffle bags, invisible legs, thermal vision in plane, glitched car colors, gun tricks, and I glitched 300 millions in total from cayo perico. I can finish finale in 7 minutes and get 2,5 millions, and 3 minutes after restart and do finale again.

I have a duped account, if it gets banned im not too fussed about it. I used it to help low ranks make money. I have my og account for grinding. Oh well it was fun while it lasted.
In my opinion, they should have only banned the modded/duped accounts that do griefing (orbital spam, KD farming, cargo destroying, etc) or have fast run, but at least Rockstar tried.

I’m in PS5 and I’ve noticed that the level 8k accounts have been way more prominent now then ever I see about 3-6 level 8k accounts in one lobby every lobby I go to so it’s possible that the ps5 dupe accounts haven’t been hit with the ban wave yet but it’s also possible that they will get hit with the ban wave soon it would only make sense if that was the case
I've had one friend on PS5 be banned already due to what I assume is this, so it's definitely making it's way on to PS5, I don't know how common it is though.
Its the new tos they pushed out. I've seen PS4 accounts with nothing on them get banned because they did dmo cars. Don't know why they barley decided to get this strict when GTA 6 around the corner 😂

a friend of mine has an old modded account that's been recently banned so I think they are targeting anything modded but about time they're getting rid of all the dupe accounts
I've been playing since 2013. I have 2 characters on my main that are over 1600 and I have another account over level 700. All of that RP combined would not even scale to rank 4000. Why would anyone want an account over 3000? The last thing you unlock is the platinum background for the rank globe at 750, and it doesn't even look platinum. As for the bans, I assume companies weigh the pros and cons of banning players. In GTA on console, the amount of damage a modded account can do is not much higher than the average player, but a banned player might not purchase future games on a banned account. At some point, these accounts became so prevalent they were viewed as a cause for money being lost to get a ban wave triggered.
There are a few legitimate-ish ways of getting that much RP. Not many people seem to know about them, I've seen a couple of vids on RUclips on it.
They started the ban wave cause the duped accounts are too cheap, I’ve seen so many noobs and even my friends that stopped playing the game for years decided to buy a duped account cause they were like 10$
They should ban on pc imo, modded accounts on console are nothing compared to the pc ones
@@Daily-Inspiration-For-Life A few people have done the math and it would take at least another decade of grinding 24/7 since 2013 to get that much RP legit since the amount required to progress increases exponentially with every rank. Anyone over 5000 is not legit. Anything between 3000 - 4999 is questionable.

@@MedicalBillz It should go from a gray color to a yellow color. The rank globe follows the same color scheme as the awards starting with brown. I've never seen a green one so maybe Rockstar was planning to raise the rank cap beyond 8000 for some unholy reason.

Can confirm, my ITheForgor account got banned yesterday sadly. I i really did on the game was chase players with the cop cars lmao, but rockstar did do the right thing here, and now im back to grinding on my main, legitimate account
Well, at least it’s easier to make money now compared to 5 years ago if you have an amount of experience of playing. One of my friends wanted to start GTAO but didn’t know how to begin. So he gave me access to his account and I made him 6M legit in 2 days and I unlocked all OG heists for him. He was surprised that it was that easy! Lol

I had one of the accounts literally just because I was tired of grinding and still not having the money to buy half the new stuff. My main account I've had since day one and only bought a modded account to have fun on. Got online today with the message saying I was banned. If rockstar would lower the cost of stuff people wouldn't want to do all the different money glitches. There's no reason any of the dlc stuff should cost over 1 mil when it comes to the cars

I had one for old gen, I transferred my character over before they implemented the ability to keep your character when you transfer, had it for about two years before it was banned early February. Unfortunate but it cost me like 5 bucks and all I did was rp and buy cars from movies so that's a shame. I'll have to recreate the transformer garage and fast and furious garage.
They must've finally realized that these modded accounts have the insane amount GTA$ money they have and could've made off people that have these accounts. And when it comes to Rockstar and Money Glitches it's surprising this wasn't dealt with *wayy sooner*

@@darthjarjar5309 Dunno in what context that is i wont judge, but the difference is that Rockstar has had history of wrongfully banning innocent players from their game (it has happened to more than 3 of my friends in the past couple years, especially when ive watched them play in Discord or on YT vids they do nothing wrong besides play and do not have mods and dont exploit) so it cant really be related to wrongfully imprisoned inmates tbh.

I actually had a duped account given to me for free a year or so ago and it was one that I never used (cause I didn’t need it, but I guess it was more so for a rainy day)

I play on Xbox Series X and have a couple of modded accounts and a regular account. I only used my modded accounts to buy the properties and garages to mod the cars and planes etc. I work 60+ hours a week and have a family so I just don’t have the time to grind for hours and hours just to be able to buy a certain vehicle or property. I really enjoyed finding the vehicles that weren’t available any longer. Personally, I think the ban wave is mostly for monetary reasons. Rockstar wants that Shark Card money.

And most people (including myself) have multiple accounts so if 1 gets banned it's like who gves a shit lol just fire up another one. It's people's right to play the game however they want.
However I do not agree with things like Godmode and orb spamming that ruin the experience for others.
Harmless glitching like car dupes and car merges that hurt noone and give noone any kind of an advantage over others I fully support.

I doubt Rockstar will do something. GTA on PC have a ''black market'' thing involving mod menus and full upgraded accounts and they never did anything to get rid of it. It's like Rockstar financed this

I know that these guys modding accounts is wrong. But, Rockstar neutered this game. They don't care about the players getting screwed by modders in ps3's gta4 and gta5. They only cared when they weren't getting paid what they wanted.

0:43, no I was lvl 8000 because a modder exp dropped me and several other in a moment. This wasn’t something that took more then a couple seconds. Was a brand new player lvl 43 and one day my shit was fucked up. Had to get a different modder to reset me back…
