This is a great result, I just finished a 57' restomod and achieved the same desired results by using 73' corvette seats and cutting down the head rest frame steal and bending it over and rewelding it together at the top to configure to the top rails of the cabin, short an inch or two to accomodate the foam upholstery as he did. Then I welded 3/16 steal wings to the 73' seatback rails that hinge it to the seat bottom to conform to the contour of the side and center uprights in cabin. By using the 73' seats I maintained the fold down backs and utilized the existing seat adjustment rail mechanisms already factory made into the 73' seats to not only have them adjustable for my short wifes legs but simply made an adapter steal ribbon plate with holes drilled to bolt to existing female threaded holes in stock 57' floor, with bolts welded upright to accomodate holes in 73' floor mount holes. These seats already have the low deep dished design seat and back built in and most of the foam is resuable from the 73' seats. if you want pictures text 541-784-8229

ScottieDTV Brother I think he's going to rock this the way he does everything else! You can tell he does it for the love of it and not the money. I'm sure the money is nice but it is a byproduct. He seems to genuinely care about the cars and the people that own them. Like every customer is family and every car has a story no matter how big or small the job is. That's why he is successful. I haven't seen anything he has done in any of the video's you shot that I didn't think was next level. You know what I mean? Things I would have never thought of! And you got front row seats watching his shop grow! I bet that's been something to see!
JustAWrench He does take a lot of pride in his shops work....Steve really is becoming the "gold standard".....and deserves it!

ExcellentScottie , Steve great I am just working on a 59 Corvette , Customer is looking for leg room , I am going to move the clutch and brake peddles forward they have about 8 inches from the floor ,so a little custom work , like you say 3 4 inches here and there more comfortable .
