    two doses to 125,000 people
asking that the government treat the monkeypox outbreak as a public health emergency
Luckily, we have the tools required to stop this outbreak and prevent further risk to health now.
We ask that you do so urgently.

The term 'men who have sex with men' arose in the late '80s when it was discovered that a significant minority of 'men who have sex with men' do not self identify as either gay or bisexual and therefore ignored health messaging directed to 'gay men' because 'I'm not gay'. Many communities attach a plethora of negative attributes to the term 'gay' far beyond simple sexual attraction. While a mouthful, 'men who have sex with men' allows messaging to better reach its intended target audience.
The view that the AIDS epidemic happened simply because gay men couldn't keep 'it' in their pants was widespread in the 80s and 90s, and I have a visceral negative reaction when I hear you suggest 'behaviour modification'; even though I agree with you. The history of ignorance and bigotry associated with that messaging means that the words that leave your mouth are not what many MSM will hear.

As a gay man I'm definitely not having any sexual contact until this disease is under control. I'm just waiting to get vaccinated... Here in Lisbon there is a targeted campaign on Facebook to educate the GBMSM community about the risks of infection with different behaviours. There is definitely a sense of fear so I'm sure many folk are moderating their behaviour... I have a doctor's appointment soon and will ask for the vaccine but I suspect it may be some time until Portugal has enough vaccine to target the at risk population.

Currently, I’m caring for a hospice patient with numerous pressure wounds with all the symptoms. Since the U.S. is so secretive about everything regarding data and restricted behavior, I’m becoming somewhat suspicious.

Gay men are getting vaccinated as fast as vaccine doses are made available, and gay men are changing their sexual activities, eschewing large group gatherings and anonymous sexual hookups. Data in the USA and UK show the daily infection rate is plateauing, which implies that the changes are already slowing the spread.

This part is a bit more alarming because it seems it would spread much much more quickly if that was a mode. What about using public toilets that may have the virus on them? Yes John you have put your finger on it... A surprising number of mutations of a DNA virus that should be very slow to mutate, and by some wierd coincidence was being studied in Wuhan in China, a country that has NEVER had a case of monkey pox.... Could there be a common thread I wonder.

What’s the source for this study in Wuhan?

@@10secondsrule it was published a few months ago. They were messing with it too. Plus the world forum specifically spoke about it as the next outbreak. Go figure.

They have been pumping Fentanyl into the US and Mexico for years now, so yes. The CCP wants us in a weakened state. They already own a lot of the land here.

God bless you, regarding the responsibility point on withdrawing from serial activity until this becomes a more controlled virus. This would apply to all STDs for ALL sexual orientations. Thank you for all the analytical data. I've been listening and learning from your videos for 2 years.Take care, from Southern California.

Thank you for not making this political!! Science doesn't lie. Its so important to make sure the populations that are at risk are clearly noted so those participating in those activities can be aware of risky behaviors

@@helengeorge9754 , not sure why you're coming at me. I was happy when he made the point that it was transmitted via primarily homosexual and gay men. He also made a point that we didn't need to worry about the fact that saying it like that was political. I like how he presented the epidemiology of it. That's all. No reason to come at me. You obviously have zero idea of where I stand.....
