Absolutely top shelf my friend. Another great build to add to your collection. Hope all went well in your moving to a new place. Looking forward to the next project on your bench. Cheers. Papadan
+Dan LeRoy Thanks Dan, greatly appreciated! We haven't moved yet....contractors still working o the renovations and upgrades. We estimate the middle of April when we can move in. Cheers : )
Excellent build, Martin! The video presentation is equally amazing. This has been a real treat to watch throughout the building process. Thanks for sharing. Model on!
Hi Martin, I must say there are only two words to describe this build, Absolutely Fantastic, a great build mate, I can't wait ti see what your next build is going to be, and good luck with the new house. Cheers, Les
Hi Martin, nice to see your mug on screen once more! Fantastic workmanship mate.Paintwork, weathering and chipping all done to perfection as normal. My Spitfire would live to have ago at that Ju-88 lol ;)
Wow that is a lovely piece of art!!! Stunning attention to detail. Well done!!! Great revue on the wheels from your previous build, must have been a tense moment. It's a beautiful aircraft especially around the crew areas.
What an extraordinary build Martin. It was a thrill to see that kit come to life !! Thank you for the kind acknowledgement it was truly our pleasure to send it to you. Best wishes. Hope the move goes well for you!! And you pronounced my last name correctly first try Awesome!!
Another great build Martin, enjoyed the series. I had some extensive remodel and addition work done in 2010, no model building for six months, know what you are going thru with the house, Take care and enjoy your weekend, Cheers, Tom
+ramblers69 Thanks for following this build, Tom, much appreciated! This is my last build now until we're moved and settled in. We estimate we'll be moving in about 4 weeks, with what is left to do on the new house. We have to start packing this weekend...that's going to be a long job doing that, hence the reason we are starting that 4 weeks before we move! Have a great weekend, too! Cheers : )
Martin, ProModeler means to me, you have to be a Pro {with Patience} to built a kit with that moniker. Your I.P.'s are a work of art, well painted and detailed, really enhances the rest of the pit. Well built throughout. Those small details, like the antenna wire point out your effort and expertise. Another perfect addition to your master works. Congrats! Glad I had the time to view the Final Reveal. - Bob
+bob dyer Hey Bob, thanks for watching before you head south, much appreciated, and thanks for the kind compliment, much appreciated! Glad you like how she turned out in the end! Cheers : )
Wow. Absolutely beautiful job. That's one of my favorite WWII German aircraft. I built a 1/72 one probably 26 years ago. I blew my own mind away with how well it turned out. Unfortunately I lost track of it with my way to many moves over the years. I really wish I could find it, but I definitely want to build a 1/32 one. Great job and thanks for sharing it.
Thank you, much appreciated. I like building 1/32 scale, because it's easier on my old eyes and there's always a lot more detail that is easier to see and paint. Go for the 1/32, don't procrastinate, just do it. Cheers : )
Great build. I followed, start to finish. I have this kit. So glad I watched your video series. The white metal landing gear is highly recommended and now I know why. Not sure if I’ll build or sell. Gaps are a pet peeve of mine. Again, great job and thank you.
Thanks GTP, much appreciated. Yes, I'd definitely recommend getting the white metal landing gear...I know 4 modelers that have built this and they all had their wheel axles sheer off...some replaced everything with the white metal and others did what I did, strengthened the existing. With the white metal landing gear, you;ll be fine, you should build your kit. Apart from the other issues around the engine cowlings where a gap occurred on mine, everything else is super. Cheers : )
another amazing build and paint job there Martin shame with the landing gear but you had a good fix for it top stuff as always ,if i do another i'll make sure i re enforce the landing gear axle its been a joy to watch this build mate looking forward to the next once you've settled in to your new home congrats btw all the best martin take care :O)
+International British Modeler 1/72 not really your scale the Revell Ju 88 C is nice otherwise . I am so far behind even in my stash there is no point in getting new models
Martin: She's t'ing o' beauty. Well played. You'll have to do a "final reveal" on the new digs when you move in. I continue to be distracted by work, travel, etc. But an update is on the horizon. Build on!
+Roger Hull Thanks Roger, much appreciated mate! Life is the scourge of the modeling classes, mate! But that said, I look forward to your update when it's done! Have a great weekend! Cheers : )
looks really nice Martin , yes , i had same issue with the kit i built last summer , ended up using my glue gun to hot glue the struts in place after they kept braking off. The finished plane is heavy and it doesn't seem the kit maker took this into account when designing the wheel undercarriage. It's another beauty bud, the camo is very nice.
+paips4 Thanks John, much appreciated mate! The undercarriage was strong when I glued it into the wheel wells, it was just the axles that the wheels glue onto...they just broke off very easily. But, it's sorted now and is very strong and rigid with the modification I did. Have a great weekend mate! Cheers : )
Last week I had Joey and my daughter Bridget with me on Easter Break and we went to the U.S.Air Force Museam where we sawa JU-88 on display in original Romanian markings! It's a great museamwith a lot of WW1 and WW2 a/c as well as 1950's into present time. We are going back in October for the WW1 fly in. Folks from all over the world transport or fly-in their builds of WW1 aircraft 1;1 scale. It's a lot of fun for the weekend. Perfect music for that final slide show!!
+Frederick Meccia Sounds like a great day out, Fred and I bet Joey loved it...did Bridget find it interesting? I want to get down to the Smithsonian National Air and Space museum at some point....that's on my bucket-list, plus visit some of the other museums there, along with the historic buildings and sites in that area. Maybe drop in to the Whitehouse and have a cup of tea with the President?! Take care, cheers : )
Thanks for your very kind compliment, Mark, greatly appreciated. This build is 16 months old now, you should watch my most recent builds produced in the last 4/5 months. Cheers :)
+Armour Empire Thanks, Mark, greatly appreciated mate! You should build an aircraft of some type...it would make a refreshing change and interesting to see what you could do with the weathering techniques and skills that you apply so excellently to your armor! Have a great weekend! Cheers : )
Hello friend..!! I totally missed this build..(.Looks amazing..!!) (I haven't been around for a while-I don't think anybody noticed.!) Some trouble caught up to me, and had to box everything.. haven't been around polyestirene in now over 4 months... I will try to stay in touch..I just wanted to let you know, that I'm here and hopefully in a little time, be back to building...I enjoy your channel..!! Salud...!!!
I'm still lagging...Thanks for the words...nothing serious; just and uncomfortable situation...a mere test we all humans have to endure in this life sometime or another...but doing Ok...catch you later...
Thanks for watching, commenting and subscribing Irmao, much appreciated- I've subscribed to your channel, too, so I can view some of your builds and look out for your future builds! Cheers : )
I like your attitude there, you’ll be treating the Typhie as an opportunity to de-stress after the house move - I must admit I got the very same gift last Christmas, mixed feelings about it though, scares me half to death it does! So in short I’m definitely going to be following this build, see if you can instil some much needed courage. Box Away, you’ll be saying for the next couple of weeks. All the best with the move Martin.
+Malcolm Hood Yes, the "Tiffy" will certainly be my way of de-stressing after this drawn out moving event that started when we closed the deal on the house on December 22nd last year! By the end of it, it will have been 4 months to complete the move. When I start the build, there are a few other modelers that are joining in and building the same model...the Airfix 1/24 Tiffy Buddy Build....you should join in with us! Until my next build, take care, stay healthy and happy and have fun! Cheers : )
Well said that man, I’m off to find a set of Aviaeology decals and I’ll be back. Funny enough I discovered you via Making Models Again so its one of those full circle things. I’ll leave you to your packing Martin but hey, thanks for the push, I’m now officially crapping myself but here goes.
+Malcolm Hood Ha ha! No need for panty crapping, you'll be fine, mate, and just remember, when it comes to weathering, should you choose to do some, it is fail proof if you use oils on a gloss coated surface, because you can wipe off what you don't like and try again until you get it how you want it to look. Good luck and have fun doing it! : )
Beautiful work Martin! The revolver on the seat is something I've never seen before...nice touch! Congrats on your new home. How did you get your wife to let you design it around modeling....ventilated ovens can make a nice spray booth...that sort of thing?🤓. Looking forward to your next build! Cheers
+principaldrew Thanks Drew, greatly appreciated mate! I found out earlier in the build that it isn't a revolver, but a flare gun on the Pilot's seat. Now there's an idea, turn the old oven into a spray booth! The existing kitchen and appliances were taken out and given to my wife's sister to replace the old 70's cabinets she still had in her house. Next build will not begin until we have moved into the new home and have settled in. Probably will be the nd of April, beginning of May when I start building my Airfix 1/24 scale Hawker Typhoon Mk.1b!! Cheers : )
Fantastic build, received mine a month ago, same kit but revell usa, had no problems with engine area, perfect fit, parts bags said made in Poland, not messing with wheel struts order medal,
Thanks Steven, much appreciated. No, I haven't heard anything about such kit...but, I;ll take a wild guess that it's going to be another HK Models offering? Cheers : )
Yet aonother treat. Have you every watched Plamo Building? Its a Japanese model show, over the top, a joy to watch. I really like watching your model builds. So how did the French keep their Ju-88s flying? Did they just have a huge stock of parts they grabbed durig the war and fly them until parts ran out?
+TalksWithDirt Thanks mate, much appreciated! No, I haven't seen Plamo Building, but I'll go look it up after this...thanks for the heads-up! I think the French kept their Ju 88's flying with fuel....which the German's ran out of towards the end of the war and were forced to ground their bombers. Cheers : )
Yes, space is always a limiting factor, I'm fortunate that I have a 1,100 sq ft basement that provides plenty of room! Thanks for watching and commenting! Cheers 👍🙂🥃🥃
Ahoy Martin Beautiful job buddy I have the same kit already pre shaded and the final paint schedule you inspired me to get finished up. A sweet kit it is again wonderfully done Superb buddy you the MannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnFrankie Day P.S. Great to see your face again don't be a stranger my man.Frankie Day
Good day International British Modeler, I would like to know if there is a chance to get some parts of the cabin which unfortunately were damaged with the glue. I do not know where to go to get them. Someone told me that this model is discontinued. Sorry for my English. I speak in Spanish. Thank you for your help
Hello Mamejiah, yes, this model is discontinued, but if you send an email to Revell customer support and ask them if they have any of the parts you require, maybe you'll get lucky and they'll have some in stock. If not, check to see if you can get a resin after-market cockpit and use that...but, failing those options, you could always scratch-build the parts your self. Good luck : )
This was a newly tooled Revell of Germany kit in 2011. Any of the Revell USA kits are really bad, but every Revell, Germany kit I've made has been really good engineering and quality moldings. If you try one out, just check out that the kit you buy is from Revell GmbH.
Thanks John, much appreciated! Me too....I love building WWII Luftwaffe aircraft, I love their designs, the multitude of camouflage schemes and colors! Cheers : )
Phinking about it, seriously just feeling a bit out of my depth, given you and Mr Bottoms are just about the best there is and all that. Still got to start somewhere at sometime.
+Malcolm Hood Well, I'll take your comment as a HUGE compliment to put me aside Gary! When I began modeling two years ago- (actually, it's exactly two years ago today when I released my first modeling videos)- I stumbled across Gary's channel and was blown away by his standards and quality of work, and at that point, I realized just how far the modeling world had come since I was a boy making models. Gary was my inspiration to push myself hard, because I wanted to be as good as he is, and so I'd love to watch his videos and still do. I feel that I still have a way to go to be on par with him, but, that said, I do realize that my skills have developed a lot since my first model build two years ago. So, with that said, DO NOT be perturbed, if I can reach a level I'm happy with (but not complacent with), then anyone can if they are motivated and determined enough to push themselves. Make a start...no more procrastination!!! :P
I have this in my stash to build, i hope i can do it as much justice as your own! I am building a bird from 1940, so will black out the underside. In particular B3 HM (same KG 54 as the kit). This aircraft crashed on my fathers house in September 1940!
Hey Chris, thanks for watching and for commenting, greatly appreciated! Have fun building yours, I had great fun with mine, and, it will look good in the night-fighter scheme with a black underside....I did that to a 1/48 Heinkel He111 that I built....it makes it look a little more mean and aggressive than the softer blue underside. Here's a link to that build if you'd like to see it: ruclips.net/video/l2BoXSWtHcE/видео.html Oh my, that was a stroke of bad luck for your Father, I assume that he wasn't at home when it crashed onto his house?! Have a great weekend! Cheers : )
From around September 1940 some gruppe started painting the undersides black for night time bombing missions. Very amateur affairs they were too! It caused some 'issues' with German AA defense as well! Here is a photo of the house: photoarchive.merton.gov.uk/collections/war/second-world-war/29043 What was left of it! The corrugated iron to the left of the picture is all that is left of the anderson shelter that my father was in when the plane crashed. His father worked for the gas company and was on-call at the depot that night. A bit of a shock when he got home. My father was taken across the road to the Nelson hospital after being pulled out of the wreckage. He remembers being given warm milk which he hated. Only one of the crew managed to escape from the aircraft. He was slightly injured and so was taken to the same hospital that my father was in! Both my father and i where born in the Nelson hospital and i lived for a while about 700 meters away from Richmond Avenue, where the plane crashed. I will look at the He111 build, i was looking at the 1/32 Revel kit on ebay today!
I can‘t even blame predictive for that one (Typhie indeed) messaging late at night that‘s the best excuse I can muster - Tiffy it is. A buddy build eh, what‘s the deadline? It might be the kick up the proverbials that I need!
+Malcolm Hood Ha ha, it was all in good phun! Deadline is when we get them completed, but preferably by the end of the year. So, about 8 months to build them....should be plenty of time, phingers crossed! Cheers : )
+Malcolm Hood This was my last build until we have moved and settled into the new house. We estimate that we'll be moving in 4 weeks time, so starting this weekend, we begin packing. That's going to be a long task, then the reverse when we have to unpack. I hate moving and will be glad when it's all over. So, my next build probably won't start until the end of April and that is going to be a model that my wife bought for me for Christmas 2014....the Airfix 1/24 Hawker Typhoon Mk.1b!! Lots and lots of lovely details on that kit, so I can't wait to get stuck into it! Cheers : )
+Luke does Shizz That would be nice, complete with two fully detailed engines and removable cowlings, just to make it look more realistic and really detailed. The Ju 88P version had the anti-tank cannons, but they were considered to be a failure. Cheers : )
Thank you Kenneth, much appreciated, and Ha Ha....I don't think anyone will lose sleep over 1/16"...the tolerance stack over that length of aircraft was more than likely much larger than that, considering the manufacturing and fabrication methods used back then during high volume production requirements.
@@InternationalBritishModeler I'm glad you recognized my comment as satirical. I forgot to include an emoticon. However, I did fail to mention this is a "pre-flight" measurement. :-)
It was designed by a couple of American engineers, which should come as no surprise if you look at the tail of early variants (compare it to a P-40's for instance) and realize that war is about $ for fat cats!
+UKscalemodeller That's just what I thought, too! Now she's complete and I've taken a long hard look at her, I see so many faults that I should have done differently, and things that I missed. Ha well....maybe I'll do the Ju 88A-4 version in that lovely Tropical color scheme!! Have a great weekend mate! Cheers : )
Looks perfect....for XBOX ONE...There is a fine line between natural aging and kitsch ... unfortunately, for some time modelers have been exaggerating washing and chipping. An effect similar to female makeup, it's easy to "overdo"... Realy plane never looks like this...its my opinion, sorrry.... but still : looks pretty.
Masterfully made Martin. Realism to the Nth degree. Paint work is perfection. That cockpit blows me away....such detail. Wow!
Bill.
+PanzermansBunker Thanks for watching and your very kind praise, Bill, greatly appreciated mate! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Cheers, Martin : )

as always Martin fantastic a very nice job well done.
+Carl Mitchell Thanks Carl, greatly appreciated! Have a great weekend! Cheers : )
Brilliant Job and Brilliant Build - thank you :)
Thank you for watching and for your kind comment, George, greatly appreciated! I'm happy that you enjoyed the video and build! Cheers : )
Absolutely outstanding!!!
+strawnobi Thanks, much appreciated mate! Cheers : )
Amazing build.
Thank you, Richard, much appreciated. Cheers :)
Excellent!!! Congratulations
+Patrick Roos Thanks Patrick, greatly appreciated! Cheers : )
Cheers : )
WOW ! Astonishing build! It's unfaultable if that's a word (lol)
+Amature Airfix Modeler Thanks William, greatly appreciated! Cheers : )
Fantastic build, received mine a month ago, same kit but revell usa, had no problems with engine area, perfect fit, parts bags said made in Poland, not messing with wheel struts order medal,
+gerthold fertl Thanks Gerthold, much appreciated and happy to hear you didn't have issues with your engine nacelles like I did.
B-ju-tiful job and end result, nuff said Martin.
+Malcolm Hood Ha ha! Thanks for following this build and your kind comments, Malcolm, greatly appreciated! Have a great weekend! Cheers : )
I'm speechless! WOW! It's so COOL!!!!!!!
+Felis Barcinonensis Thanks Felis, greatly appreciated mate! Did your voice return, yet?! Have a great weekend! Cheers : )
excellent work.
Thanks Mark, much appreciated : )
Very nice! Do you know when the 1/32 PB4Y-2 Privateer will be coming out?
Thanks Steven, much appreciated. No, I haven't heard anything about such kit...but, I;ll take a wild guess that it's going to be another HK Models offering? Cheers : )
well done,loveley weathering also
+paul donnelly Thanks Paul, greatly appreciated!
Cheers : )
Hhahahaha!
I would like to build such a twin-engined model in 1/32 scale, but I have no space in my little appartment *sigh*.
Yes, space is always a limiting factor, I'm fortunate that I have a 1,100 sq ft basement that provides plenty of room! Thanks for watching and commenting! Cheers 👍🙂🥃🥃
Magnificent Martin.
+GYRUSS Thanks Richie, much appreciated, mate! Have a great weekend! Cheers : )

+frankie Day Thanks Frankie, much appreciated and I'm glad it's inspired you to get back onto yours! Have fun with it mate! Cheers : )
Cracking!
+Fernando Duarte Cheers mate, much appreciated! : )
WELL DONE................MAESTRO..............
Thanks Cava, greatly appreciated! Cheers : )
Is Revell stepping up their game? When I was a kid in the 80's I rarely built Monogram, never built Revell, and was exclusive, Tamiya and Hasagawa.
This was a newly tooled Revell of Germany kit in 2011. Any of the Revell USA kits are really bad, but every Revell, Germany kit I've made has been really good engineering and quality moldings. If you try one out, just check out that the kit you buy is from Revell GmbH.
Excellent, thanks
You’re welcome 👍🙂
junkers ju88 shenl bomber nice review
Thanks Darrell, much appreciated : )
quality this mate
Thanks Mr. Jones, much appreciated! Cheers : )
Utterly superb! I am the polar opposite to a Nazi, but WW2 Luftwaffe aircraft fascinate me!
Thanks John, much appreciated! Me too....I love building WWII Luftwaffe aircraft, I love their designs, the multitude of camouflage schemes and colors! Cheers : )
Looks way better than the one I built
I cannot agree to that, for I and anyone else here on RUclips, have not witnessed your build. Cheers :)
Wow great work!!!!
Thanks Jack, greatly appreciated 👍🙂
building this right now. mine went together no problems
Here's a link to that build if you'd like to see it: ruclips.net/video/l2BoXSWtHcE/видео.html
Oh my, that was a stroke of bad luck for your Father, I assume that he wasn't at home when it crashed onto his house?!
Have a great weekend! Cheers : )
From around September 1940 some gruppe started painting the undersides black for night time bombing missions. Very amateur affairs they were too! It caused some 'issues' with German AA defense as well!
Here is a photo of the house:
photoarchive.merton.gov.uk/collections/war/second-world-war/29043
What was left of it!
Cheers : )
All together, what paints were used?
Acrylics and oils.
What‘s next Sir? Good luck in the new abode by the way.
Cheers : )
Porque tiene las ruedas abiertas ?
i wish that revell made the ju 88 variant with the 75 mm anty tank canon couse im sure that germans did that back then
+Luke does Shizz That would be nice, complete with two fully detailed engines and removable cowlings, just to make it look more realistic and really detailed. The Ju 88P version had the anti-tank cannons, but they were considered to be a failure. Cheers : )
A beautiful representation of a deadly warbird.
However, the overall length as stated is incorrect. It should be 47 feet 2 15/16 inches.
Ha ha...yes, a lot of expansion and contraction taking place during thermal changes and gravitational stresses. Cheers : )
I would love you to make more 1/350 scale ships mate.
+Daryl Smith I've never made a ship of any scale....only planes.
Blimey that's a big Un. I've just finished my Revell Lanc. Check out my Facebook for early pictures before the update
+JoshiBlob • It is a big un the largest in my collection with a 22 inch wingspan and a 18 inch long fuselage! Cheers : )
Sweet!!!!!
Thanks Verd, much appreciated! Cheers 👍😃
Thanks VW, much appreciated : )
It was designed by a couple of American engineers, which should come as no surprise if you look at the tail of early variants (compare it to a P-40's for instance) and realize that war is about $ for fat cats!
it's OK I suppose :D
+UKscalemodeller That's just what I thought, too! Now she's complete and I've taken a long hard look at her, I see so many faults that I should have done differently, and things that I missed. Ha well....maybe I'll do the Ju 88A-4 version in that lovely Tropical color scheme!! Have a great weekend mate! Cheers : )
International British Modeler
UKscalemodeller Ha ha!! And I was playing along with you, too!! :P
My 1/32 scale Tamiya P51D would knock that f**k down :D
No it wouldn't....it's only a model, it isn't real.
International British Modeler
Juessh dude, I bet youre fun at parties :(
What are parties? Are they something of Japanese origin?
International British Modeler
Why mention Japan?
Because it's friendlier than Uranus
I'm Scott dammann I'm using my brother in law e mail address sorry
Ha ha! That's okay Scott...no need for apologies! Cheers : )
