@4:58 To think Siegfried could've been well down this path. Because when he was on the run after King Josef's passing, he was eating ate Monster Flesh _once_ to stave off hunger. @4:23 Additionally, that NPC is Julian. He infiltrated the Ship right when the Agarthans sent a ship full of severed heads. Monika is under the impression that the "Helmsman" was the one chosen as a survivor to transport the heads as an instigative message of War. Throughout the parts of the event, it kept mentioning about the "Helmsman" who really just looks identical to Julian as he keeps speaking on things that just give him away that he's Agarthan. But the strange part is that, the "Helmsman" Julian, saw a spark go off despite the flare being destroyed. This could be Kartha keeping herself quiet, or the missing Agarthan "Datura" that wasn't spoken of yet. _(Or it could be just a fabricated story to trick the reader, but eh.)_
yeah its definitely julian, they have the same silhouette and voice. But it's still a generic npc they could use in the future, so I decided to keep it there. my reading of the flare situation is that Julian made it up, with the goal of trying to deploy the enforcers at the wrong time. He knew they were waiting for a signal to attack, and joining the fight at the wrong time would be bad for the enforcers. So he pretend to "see" something. It's either that, or they have some 5d chess plan going on and the fact that they lost the northern district and retreated so steadily was all part of their strategy. Which, like, we cant really be sure until act 2.
@@DuckyTalksGranblue It would be rather silly for them to reuse that NPC given that its essentially just _Julian._ It has his appearance. Though at any rate, I see, its certainly possible that his people saw the flash which would've had them join the fight to clash with the Enforcers. Though at the same time, his associates seem to show that they don't really know where he's been or how Kyo didnt even realize what happened since the Flare was destroyed and the Enforcers came anyways. But yeah, we'll just have to see whats up with Act 2 when it comes.
Yeah it def felt like an act I. Unusually short for a story and mostly set up in this new story. I really hope act II comes rather soon, cuz I feel this new arc could be really interesting to read. This felt like an appetizer before the main course.
2 things I don't like about Monscian event 1. Heine's drip at the ending of this event. 2. That new Bob's art is actually Julian in disguise. And here I thought we got the Cooler Bob as helmsman's art. But overall a very satisfied event for me. I nearly read all of them in one go except it's late night so I only finished chapter 1 and then comeback next morning and read it all in one go. Not every event can hook me like this.
I was surprised at the length of the event but I personally chocked it up to its plot being on a smaller scale than a Dragon Knights event. Of course we will most definitely be getting a sequel but with Cygames I dunno if it’ll be that soon? My original prediction for this event series was maybe it was a buildup for the next Anniversary event and we’d be getting multiple of these events in a row leading up to it, but honestly that sounds really lame since I appreciate the diversity of events and not knowing what you’re going to get. To have the next 3 or 4 events be the same plot line is a bit tiring. The eye thing is interesting but I’m curious to see how that comes in since SR Dante has a different eye on his chair. Mimlemel also exists and the eye on her second pose on her first version looks very similar to the Agarthan symbol. Will we be seeing her? Originally I did think that the eye had something to do with the Enforcers due to R Dante’s pose but with the Agarthan’s all using it I’m personally thinking that Dante’s inclusion was actually just a lucky guess l, that Monster has no wider relevance outside of sharing the symbol and that Mimlemel will continue having no plot relevance and just be used for jokes. I know you said we had an empty month but haha. We’re getting Alchemist’s Desire in Side stories so we might be finally getting the third Cagliostro event as you predicted with Clarisse’s Uncap. There’s even a precedent for it this year with the second Lumiel Knights event coming out in the same month that the first event was added to Side stories. So my personal hope is actually that we get a separate event with a Monscian sequel coming out in a year or so provided it isn’t the setup to an Anniversary event.
I'm totally on dangerously high levels of copium with regards to Alchemist's Desire in the side stories. But I didn't want to get on a second tangent in this video lmao
Fair enough. Well it’s something to look forward to anyway after the Slime Collab. Once GW is done it’ll be nice to basically take the rest of the year off in terms of grinding events, well unless the Tales of Eternals event is going to be grindy of course.

it sure is a very flashy outfit. I don't particularly mind tho, he does look like someone who would wear that lmao
