  • A walk-through showing how to determine Whether passive insufficiency of a muscle-tension unit or joint tightness is causing an apparent limitation in PROM. (Passive Insufficiency does not cause a true limitation in ROM because the PROM can be obtained by repositioning other joints in the limb).
Passive insufficiency is when two-joint or multi-joint muscle-tendon units may limit joint motion due to insufficient muscle length when passively elongated over multiple joints, and is assessed with muscle length testing.
