Sir, I have two doubts..Pls clarify, 1.can we add the application code in the template as well (any ec2 user data)? 2. why did we specify instance type in console while creating stack( are we not giving it in the template??) Thanks in advance
As this is a template we have the provision to provide it any instance type ie what is the benefit. But we can also provide it in the template but that will make it specific to that instance type. You can add EC2 userdata to the template. No worries.

Hi Kalpana, docker is just a way to provision you a way to host a image think of it being similar to a VM (not exactly but on the same lines) Cloudformation is just a code which can trigger resource creation in Aws. Think of it like a code that we write.
