@@lezdxn 55 here - when I was a young teenager I loved the 1980s synth-pop sounds and then the Acid House explosion around London in 1988/89 was amazing (if only because it changed everything)- but only with trance in the mid-late 90s did the kind of music I'd been searching for all my life arrive. Those raving years in the second half of the 90s were as good as it gets and just something I feel privileged to have been part of.

I've just turned 55 I'm glad I was around to hear some great types of music I started out listening to the synthpop/New Romantic stuff before I was old enough to go to clubs but then caught the end of jazz-funk when I started clubbing, then when electro arrived I loved that sound then 2 or 3 years later acid house was the big game changer then hardcore arrived (although that was at a time when I had stopped going to the raves for a bit and just listened to it on the London pirates and Kiss FM) and then started raving again in the mid-90s just in time for trance taking off a sound which I’d been waiting for all my life and where I stopped. Nothing gets anywhere near it.
pearce at empire milton kenes on a friday night was my highlight of the week.

Like most other ppl have said this takes me back! Im 30 so I just caught the end of all the good trance music. These were the best Dance Cd's out at the time! Shame they don't make them like that anymore. Im sure there will be a trance revival at some stage it prob wont be as good as the old days when it began, but it would be nice to see if and when it happens if it does. I think you had to be a part of it back then to really appreciate it fully! Long live trance! x
