500 episodes strong sir congratulations. I forget how long I been watching you now and you inspired me to start my own UK trucking vlogs. I'm at 125 episodes myself now and have recently changed to skateboards too so my loads are far more interesting too. Take care.
I am over in maine.. it is going below zero, this evening. Enjoy your ride! I inadvertently called your mack little, talking with my dad (40 years trucking). I think I felt the 1850 foot pounds on the heavy spec over the camera. I wonder why they give it 22.5 wheels. I hope you bump up to 2050.. there is 6mpg on 2050 ft lbs right now. I remember 290 cummins and 318 detroits still in the mainstream.. late 70s. Non-stop bigger evolution ever since.
Hay Sergei, Great job! enjoy your video's immensely. I had a 3 stage jacobs engine brake in a 1973 Diamond Reo tandem dump, 13 spd rr, and it was explained to me that with a Detroit diesel the engine heads are in 3 sections 1,2,3, just like the switch. Each section with it's own j-brake, That's one of the only times I've used/seen one! beside a few Autocars with same engine. I've got tons of useless information. for some reason earlier dump trucks were converted road tractors. So there was plenty of variety and challenges to be able to operate all the different combinations of equipment. For a while it usually was a Fuller 8LL spd with basic factory engine 2 stage jake. now anything goes! thanx again Sergei, stay safe brother!
Hello Sergei! Ive been watching your vids for quite some time.. ever since the last time you were in Sask. is when I randomly found your channel and have watched everything ever since. To be honest I'm not sure why I keep watching your vids.. I'm 22 years old, I'm not a trucker, I'm a Structural Firefighter in La Ronge Sask. and also a Civil Engineering student. I guess its because you seem pretty down to earth, keep up with the great vids and happy 500th episode!
Not many You Tubers are as down to earth, honest and knowledgeable as Uncle Sergei. I watch people because I want to learn if I want to just clutter my brain I watch tv. This channel is interesting spiced with brilliant Russian ops Canadian humor :)
Well i am 21 years old now and i am watching his videos since i was 17 .....right now i am an Automotive Engineering Student but i like his videos because they are funny , interesting and also by listening to him everyday i will not forget the english language ;) (i'm not from a country that has english as its native language )
It gives just a calm and satisfactory feeling by watching your videos , how you can be so easy going and comfortable all the time ? You must be a very gentle guy !
Sergio. The best thing to do in a construction zone is to take two lanes. When I'm wide ill ride down the middle of both lanes until the end of the zone and know one bothers me.
do I have to whistle too? why would I go through all this trouble shifting? I don't need the jake when changing gears. I need it only when I have to slow down.
can upshift as well as downshift with jake on. takes a little practice but can help bring engine rpms down quicker for your next gear. when done right make almost a pop of the jake between gears and sounds cool too.
One trick when you're on such soft ground that you can't get out of first gear is to upshift with the jake on. It slows the engine down to match how the soft ground is slowing the truck down and allows you to shift.
Every truck is different some trucks u can't shift up with the jake on i know the t800 is easy to shift with the jake on because of the way the throttle peddle is shaped u can feather it
All of our manual and auto shift KW fleet spec trucks have Cummins and a 3 stage engine brake. So you should be able to get a 3 stage no problem since your spec building your truck.
Sergie on the eternal turn signal fiasco, some trucks turn signal alert goes out and the driver drives without turning the lever off. Your truck has a buzzer to remind you. Orlando I-4 is almost as bad as Los Angeles 405 freeway and the ongoing construction that never ends. I seen it since 2011. I started taking the toll 528 to get off that I-4 exit 60 to 83A. One thing you dint mention is the bumps on that highway that you feel bad for the abuse your truck is getting.
Sergio have you talked to the mack dealer or a Mac technician about adjusting the micro switch on your accelerator pedal that controls your Jake brake. I had that problem on my Peterbilt after an adjustment took care of it could shift and hold your foot on the accelerator ever so gently and shift just like you didn't have the Jake on.
drove this truck since October 2014. already had to change the steer tires. But the drives are still going strong. the truck now has about 140,000 miles only.
I understand the pain of driving I- 4 I live in Tampa I hate driving to Orlando sometimes people from out of town are the worst specially when they are going to Disney world.
Just over 20 million people when I moved out of Florida last April 2016...and there are over 1 million people with a permit to carry a firearm...watch out for your butt in Florida 4sure.
Hello Sergei I use to live in Florida-- have you been down near Everglades? You are sounding like a new KW is the truck you will purchase maybe --a T800 or ??? Have a great weekend and thanks again for great video !
I just read a comment that for heavy haul and gravel road operations---18 spd is superior to 13 and also that Cummins in that application is superior to DD. Do you agree? Great Videos Sergei !
Not sure about cummins versus Detroit. never had a truck with any of them .. but I think the new X15 is a good engine. 18 speed is helpful with super heavy loads when you operate in hilly terrain. If you don't expect the need to split the first 4 gears, the 13 is just as good; BUT a heavy haul truck with a 13 speed will be hard to sell.
I'm new to your channel, think its great. I also haul oversized loads and was wondering how you felt when people "hangout" next to you on the road? Pisses me off to be honest.
2:09 my understanding is I4 in Florida is called "The Death Highway" because of the large amount of prostitute murders that have taken place along that stretch of road, many of which have been blamed on truckers .. Google Bill Warner, Long Haul Truckers Moonlight as Serial Killers.
Does your family have access to your videos? Like to hear more about life in Russia . . . watch some of their off road videos . . . they sure are risk takers . . . great video as usual.
on the kw if u get the smart wheel steering wheel the 3 postiton jake in on the steering wheel as is cruse radio control and i think phone on off truck also comes blue tooth for u phone and i think voice command for u phone , if u get nave pluss u get a garman navigation and some virtuial gauges also u get few more functions to diganose engine and after treatment record trip miles mantance things and some other gadgiets
depends how much you wanna haul. a friend wanted to spec a t880 for a multi-axle operation (75 ton float), and Kenworth said the radiator was too small...
enjoy the nice weather it was min l0 to -l5 below zero back home here in canada and good thing u were not delivering up the mine in northern ont they had a record last nite.. minus -35 below but for them that is not bad i lived up that way.. and worked up that way at minus -20 i use to start to sweat and have to put on a lighter coat lol guess like u from Russian is cool not cold lol
hey Sergei... that army vechical is a 5 axel 10x10 truck called a pallitized loading system (pls).. i drove this particular vechical when i was in the army. great truck. the rear axel on it steers too. that one has a Detroit in it. the new ones have c17s.
When you merged did you flick your four ways when he let you in? I do that when trucks let me merge also when a truck tries to change lanes, pass or merge Infront of me I flick my four ways fast afew times to let them know their trailer is past me, just a courteous thing to do
Congrads on 500.The weather looks to good . Come back to ontario ,the weather is great,a bomby 16f (-10c) and 6" of more snow last night. By the way ,what make of gps do you run and does it work ok.
I realize that Sergei it seems strange to me because that was what I used to have on my Scania it would be great to see a comparison to see which way is the most effective
If the exhaust brake is 'ON' on the dash, then each time I take my foot off the throttle, it almost immediately applies. If I'm driving with the cruise control 'ON' and and the exhaust brake is 'ON', then it automatically applies once I reach a certain speed (I can set up any speed that is higher by at least 3 KM/H over the set cruising speed).
California is 38 Million. Texas is about 26 million. New York is about 20 million. You guys have too much space. I think we need to ship more people up to Canada.
Charles Schutz yep, let's ship all retirees from Florida to ... Sasketchewan! that would give them something to talk about at the McDonald's in the morning - provided they can find it in the snow 💀😍😄
Kyle D, I stay out for 1 to 2 months at a time, my friend stays out 6 to 7 months at a time, depends on what you can do, and or what ur family can take (husband, wife or kids)
good tip, thanks. i'm also thinking of applying for citizenship of Israel, South Africa, and Chili. Will get the one where the Embassy opens early. stay tuned.
It is aggravating at first but in time you get used to it. Also, this vid had more than usual of that. The head cam advantage is that you see (pretty much) of what he is seeing. I often stop the vid when he' watching the trailer because I like to see what's going on back there. You can also use the right arrow key to jump (skip) 5 seconds at a time so you can get past that part quickly, though you miss that portion of dialogue, of course.
Just wondering. If you don't have anything tying you to Canada, why not move just over the border, get your citizenship and run under you own authority? You would still be able to take loads into Canada while also moving freight within the USA. Again just wondering I mean no disrespect.
Yeah, I'm just lazy. I have been thinking about becoming a citizen of some country but I cannon decide between USA, Switzerland, Australia, Japan, and Mozambique. Will check the office hours Monday and see which one opens earlier, is located closer and charges less for the application.
Sergei Dratchev Hello my name is Loyson from Dar es salaam, Tanzania am 29, love trucking job that much and my goal is to have my company one day. I do watch your videos about trucking and kind of loads you pull what do and why. What to check and to be careful I like it. But here in our country it hard to have your without spending some years driving in companies that sometimes pay low for what you can expect. I with be honoured to have some opinions and help for this as a legend on this business
500 episodes and counting Mighty cool TY
uncle Sergei i watch your videos you're great i like being able to watch you drive its like im riding along with you
I passed Heavy haul TV today in North Carolina on I-77 north bound !!
500 episodes strong sir congratulations. I forget how long I been watching you now and you inspired me to start my own UK trucking vlogs. I'm at 125 episodes myself now and have recently changed to skateboards too so my loads are far more interesting too. Take care.
Congrats on HHTV #500! Keep up the great work, and stay safe.Tom

Sergio. The best thing to do in a construction zone is to take two lanes. When I'm wide ill ride down the middle of both lanes until the end of the zone and know one bothers me.
Michael Allread I do that all the time in the 2 tunnels between north Carolina and Virginia on i-77. don't want 4 wheelers getting squashed ;)
Make sure to get bug deflectors, beacons, led headlights, and all other chrome things. It will make the truck look way better
Who's buying???
Just push clutch in about one inch when shifting with exhaust break on , it will disengauge the brake so you can shift without it kicking in
do I have to whistle too? why would I go through all this trouble shifting? I don't need the jake when changing gears. I need it only when I have to slow down.
Congratulations! Number 500! WOW!!!

I like stopping at that TA when I deliver glass to Florida, the truck wash there is pretty good. I've done a few resets there.
also Sergei if you touch the clutch just enough before the clutch engages it will cancel the Jake brake.
LMAO Sergei you're hilarious with the icebergs
KW has 3 positions on their jakes
Happy 500!
# 500 video. Had to be in the great State of Florida!
Sergie on the eternal turn signal fiasco, some trucks turn signal alert goes out and the driver drives without turning the lever off. Your truck has a buzzer to remind you. 500 episodes :) Nice! Have been following you for years :) I am also excited to see what kind of truck you finally are getting.
"Icebergs". Love it.
That vehicle is a PLS (Palletized Loading Systems) if Army or a LVSR (Logistics Vehicle Replacement System) is Marine Corps. It also has 5 axles
love the commentary
You can't over cold t800 wide hood)t800 truly western canada 's truck.
hurry home we need an update . and bring back some nice sun serg..
I would also have your jake brakes (exhaust brake) to activate when brakes are applied. So you can leave the switch on.
I used to haul for Diamond Transportation. worst paying company I experienced.
Sean Brown did they pay in rough diamonds? 😍
Nope. Not even close
Maybe coal lumps.
Maybe I know I worked for an owner operator signed on with them and I only made my cash advance every week and that was it.
Truck has no shutter in front of radiator? Or they won't work when the surrounding is like -dead Celsius?
I think the T800W is a great choice Sergei ! lol
Congrats on the 500th Sergei. Do you ever drive in BC ?
How many miles do you get out of a tire?
drove this truck since October 2014. already had to change the steer tires. But the drives are still going strong. the truck now has about 140,000 miles only.
Hey driver safe and keep trucking over and out
happy 500th
I understand the pain of driving I- 4 I live in Tampa I hate driving to Orlando sometimes people from out of town are the worst specially when they are going to Disney world.
If Volvo hadn,t terminate the E9 engines
Mack with a E9 engine will be dominated in the Heavy haul & Off road fields today
sheacole2 the 600 HP engine in the Mack Titan here was called MP10. Then Volvo killed it!
congrats on 500
I-4 is a f****** nightmare I did what you did for many years and I hated that piece of road one accident you'll sit for hours and hours
Just over 20 million people when I moved out of Florida last April 2016...and there are over 1 million people with a permit to carry a firearm...watch out for your butt in Florida 4sure.
I usually put a frying pan on the seat once I cross GA/FL line.
Any update on the new truck?
Keep the Mack as a back up , you'll regret getting rid of it trust me
and who gonna pay the double payments?
Why don't you give Sergei a present and give him 100000$ dollars!!
In an ideal world he'd keep the Mack and employ somebody else to drive it, rather than let it sit.
SuperFIFTHGEAR then you get the stress of whether your very large investment is still in one piece while stressing about two large payments.
you mean mister jake great to have mister jake without him heavy gaul tv would be in trouble
Дядя Сережа рулит)) удачи))
Mm pm
Hello Sergei I use to live in Florida-- have you been down near Everglades? You are sounding like a new KW is the truck you will purchase maybe --a T800 or ??? Have a great weekend and thanks again for great video !
the attraction you past is universal studios island adventures and the new water park being built.
talking about a engine brake my truck has like a 3 second delay i can leave it on all the time ever when up shifting
What kind and year of truck and what engine?
Frank Swain 2013 volvo 730 with a cummins isx
Ok, thanks, Michael!

3 positions
I'm new to your channel, think its great. I also haul oversized loads and was wondering how you felt when people "hangout" next to you on the road? Pisses me off to be honest.
brother Sergei - stop spending money! stick with the Mack........ broke down Tim

Why don't u sell your house cause you're never there
The road you are driving on Interstate 4 they are building 6 lane in middle of road way. ( express total road way ) it will take 6 year to finished
Does your family have access to your videos? Like to hear more about life in Russia . . . watch some of their off road videos . . . they sure are risk takers . . . great video as usual.
spec the new truck with disc brakes
Geo. Sackett he did
If you get disc brakes on a truck are they still powered by air or no? Just wondering. 😊
on the kw if u get the smart wheel steering wheel the 3 postiton jake in on the steering wheel as is cruse radio control and i think phone on off truck also comes blue tooth for u phone and i think voice command for u phone , if u get nave pluss u get a garman navigation and some virtuial gauges also u get few more functions to diganose engine and after treatment record trip miles mantance things and some other gadgiets
Reviewing specs on a 4900 SB and T880 now. Like all your opinions on the business.
depends how much you wanna haul. a friend wanted to spec a t880 for a multi-axle operation (75 ton float), and Kenworth said the radiator was too small...
kenworth has 3 positions on jake brake

what time will you be at the peace bridge do you think?
hey Sergei... that army vechical is a 5 axel 10x10 truck called a pallitized loading system (pls).. i drove this particular vechical when i was in the army. great truck. the rear axel on it steers too. that one has a Detroit in it. the new ones have c17s.
they changed their name last year. now it's called a 'FIVE AXLE VEHICLE'. ;)
Oshkosh Corp. is the manufacturer of those for the most part, additional outfitting equipment and engine by others.
i know... i drove those for 11 years while in the service
Is exhaust brake the same as engine brake or Jake brake???
hi Sergey Keith from levittown Pennsylvania
When you merged did you flick your four ways when he let you in? I do that when trucks let me merge also when a truck tries to change lanes, pass or merge Infront of me I flick my four ways fast afew times to let them know their trailer is past me, just a courteous thing to do

Why does your exhaust brake work on your throttle here in the UK you just touch the brake peddle to apply it....
Dulally Kat I am not in UK.
I realize that Sergei it seems strange to me because that was what I used to have on my Scania it would be great to see a comparison to see which way is the most effective

Why are cab drivers the worst drivers? Just a thought.
Lol your titles went from normal vlogs to mad max 5
To sergei and others, how long do you, and how long could you, stay out on the road without stopping back at home?
Kyle D, I stay out for 1 to 2 months at a time, my friend stays out 6 to 7 months at a time, depends on what you can do, and or what ur family can take (husband, wife or kids)
When are you getting the new truck?
When he sells the Mack
who is using your trailer
Bill Billby no one the first shipper refused his trailer so the company offered him a flat trailer for one trip
Hey Sergei you should become a US Citizen then you could haul stuff all over the US and make money and not be in the cold weather all the time
good tip, thanks. i'm also thinking of applying for citizenship of Israel, South Africa, and Chili. Will get the one where the Embassy opens early. stay tuned.
Get dual nationality
ughh...hard to watch with all the head cam movement, get's nauseating (motion sick) after a bit.
