There's only 1 name that should ever be associated with these Jag 340's, someone none of you have ever heard of nor will ever likely meet, a rider named Cory Peterson from Newfolden, MN. Could ride his free-air 340 past anybody. Simply wide open, up the most insane river bank drifts, best rider I've ever seen. Long live Cory Peterson and the Jag 340 I couldn't keep up with on my best day on my 82 SS440, which is supposed to be faster, I know it to be faster. Even carrying his cousin, he outrode me everywhere, if he lacked fear or if he knew he was that good. Never saw him crash, I did watch him drive wide open in the dark with his headlight flashing like a camera. That Jag 340 free air lived through such abuse, but was always tuned perfectly by Cory. I'd make a movie about the rides the 3 of us did if I could. He was just a man long before he was actually 18. We smoked at age 13 and 14, he smoked like and talked like a grown man, and no time for being a bitch if you ride with him, fix your own damn sled, figure out your own shit or go home seemed his attitude. I think that's why I still snowmobile, because I'm trying still to find my inner Cory Peterson.
Reminds me of the 1979 Jag 340 FA I had as a kid. Miss that sled!
Buy mine lol
