Hi from Mexico, OMG Angra, I did't see that coming a great band from Brazil, Shadowhunter is a great song too or any from the album "temple of shadows.
I was asking why I cannot stop watching this channel. I love music but that is not the reason. I can hear music in any place else. Then I realize, how simple life is: we have people we like on the screen, sharing the same taste as us and we suggest something that makes we happy and finally they listen it and then, boom...they are happy too. Sometimes other emotions come out but it is really a simple channel with a true human connection. All my love to you guys. Thank you/Merci.
ayyy you guys did it!! Thank you! My birthday is in 23rd of march, but I'm really glad you guys made it haha. I'll recommend more of Angra soon, they're my fave brazilian band of all time. They're from Brazil(the country I was born), the first song "Nothing to Say" is from their second Album Holy Land(1996) and the second one Lisbon is from the third album Fireworks(1998). They had their first singer yet Andre Matos, he left in 2000 then Angra had their second singer Edu Falaschi. Andre is my favorite singer of Angra, my favorite phase of theirs, they have a new singer that came after Edu in 2012 btw. And Kiko Loureiro(the lead guitar that you'll see on that performance and the current guitar player of Megadeth) played in Angra from 1991(when they had begun) till 2016(if I'm not wrong), but he still plays with the guys from Angra and the bassist of Angra is also the bassist of the solo project of Kiko Loureiro.
Lisbon is my all time favorite song from Angra , and my all time favorite song that Andre Matos ever written. It is a MASTERPIECE!!!! This live version is still great, but in my opinion the best version is easily a live version from Andre Matos other band Shaman on the show called RituAlive Live In Sao Paulo. It is insanely amazing!!! It is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever listened to. Andre Matos was an extremely gifted musician and singer. He was the whole package. He was a terrific singer, a phenomenal songwriter, an amazing piano player, and an awesome performer. He was amazing in every band he sang with, Viper, Angra, Shaman, Virgo, The Andre Matos Band, Symfonia, and all the Avantasia projects. There are many musicians that have passed away that I miss, but this one really made me sad. May he Rest In Peace
Damn was not expecting this!!!! Amazing!! Love Angra, I met them at the airport once, super chill cool dudes. Oh, and Seinfeld had a shirt like that in his show, hahahaha, the puffy shirt episode with the low talker lady
#painintheask I am very happy that you have met the band, but it is a pity they have chosen a live amateur, which does not have the good quality to evaluate, this lineup did not record DVD together. This is the band's first line-up (there are 3 major changes to date) with Vocalist, Multi-instrumentalist and Maestro Andre Matos, one of the greatest South American vocalists and the guitarist is Kiko Loureiro, today in Megadeth. Andre with the drummer and bassist left the band and formed the Shaman, another great band that they would love for them to know. I would like you to react again to the band but with studio versions. 1 ° Line-up: Make Believe / Carolina IV 2nd Line-up: Spread Your Fire / Rebirth 3 ° Line-up: Black Widow's Web / Magic Mirror Thanks from Brazil, i Love your reacts
Ι agree very much with the first two paragraphs (the later era of Angra is too "ordinary" compared to their first two incredibly special albums that I never managed to get into them much, although they did have two great albums) but I would humbly suggest they do Carry On, esp. since Kel is classically trained and wants to hear more stuff marrying classical stuff and metal. Carry On is a masterpiece in that regard. I would just use the full album video, to include the intro, Schubert's unfinished allegro: ruclips.net/video/BDJpg5FsfY0/видео.html #painintheask Zed Yago - The Fear of Death (favorite female vocalist, one of my favorite songs, my wife's and I personal song)
@@vicsdungeon this is in your opinion. Angra has had many changes, and may have lost some of its originality over the years, but it is a band of extreme quality and deserves to be known independently of the formation, as well as Shaman (there only the first formation, because with the change and out of Andre and Hugo, have lost their essence).
It is indeed, well, just like my opinion man! :) I like their later output, esp. Temple... but there was just something really, really special about Angels Cry and Holy Land. Saw them live on the Fireworks tour by the way, excellent show!
I found it very interesting to react to a live video of the first line-up, but the audio did not help to know immersively. listen to the beautiful Lisbon in its best version in the DVD of the Shaman Ritualive, that is the Angra with another guitarist. thanks to react, I already love you
Two fabulous tracks, Lisbon being one of my favourites.. and it's about my beautiful hometown (which you guys should visit someday)! (btw, you're missing a LOT by not listening to the studio versions instead, this 90s video quality leaves much to be desired)
You should definitely listen to the studio versions of these two songs because they are amazing. If you want to hear the best version of Lisbon ever, you should check out Shaman Lisbon live from the RituAlive show. The lead singer here Andre Matos is in my opinion one of the greatest singers and songwriters ever. I hate that we lost him at such a young age. He for sure still had a lot of great music inside himself that we will never get the chance to listen to. I am grateful for the music we do have from him and it will live on forever. May he Rest In Peace
Nothing to Say and Carolina IV are from the same album : Holy Land. This album is about the period when the europeans were leaving Europe in order to discover the "new land" (Nothing to Say) and then they came to south america and the mixture of cultures that happened when europeans met the natives of south america (Carolina IV)...
Angra and Sepultura (you should definitely react to Sepultura!) are two great Brazilian bands. Angra does power metal with some classical music influences, and Sepultura does some pretty heavy thrash metal with some nu-metal flavor. They were great at their own styles (and in the case of Sepultura even very influential in the development of nu-metal), but what I enjoyed most of them, and what I think made them most original, was when their music incorporated some Brazilian music influences (mostly percussion). It's hard to think of "Brazilian music meets metal", but they managed to pull it off. Here are some recommendations: Without Brazilian influences (but still really great songs!): Carry On (Angra) Dead embryonic cells (Sepultura) With Brazilian influences: Refuse, Resist (Sepultura) Carolina IV (Angra)
Lisbon is easily my favorite Angra song. It is a MASTERPIECE!!! The best live version of Lisbon in my opinion is from the band Shaman on the live album/DVD RituAlive. Every band that Andre Matos sung in is PHENOMENAL. I love Viper, Angra, Shaman and Andre Matos solo band big time. It really sucks that he passed away a few months ago at such a young age. I can only imagine all the amazing music that could have been released in the future, but I am still thankful for the PHENOMENAL music that he did with every band that he was in. Andre's music will live on forever. May he Rest In Peace.
I know some one has already told you, but they are Brazilian, maybe one of the most famous brazilians bands if we put Sepultura aside. The thing is that the vocalist., Andre Matos, is very fluent in french so there's that. The nacionality of the band gets quite clear if you listen to Holy Land or Carolina IV As always, thank you for being so open for all of us, don,t mind on the bad comments, there will be more of that the more subscribers you get. Hello Kel and Rich, i hope you 2 are well, and liked the band. The video you watched is too old, 90's vhs quality. I hope you guys can see more from Angra with better quality. They are from Brasil(as myself) they mix power and progressive metal with classical elements and some bits of brazilian folk / ethnic music.
