I have had my 135C for 14 years now and it has been great. They are powerful machines for the size and weight. I had a hydraulic thumb built for mine when I bought it and it has a lot of curve, the dealer thought I was nuts but it work’s amazing on brush, trees and rocks.
I’m so happy that you finally found an excavator! You do like tiling (I know this bc you even traveled to Ohio to help Brown’s do theirs) & this will make tiling easier.
Nice purchase Ben! So much more work can be done and we can't kid ourselves, it's dang fun to play in as well... Congratulations man that's a awesome addition to the business!
Great looking excavator Ben! I think you will learn that the thumb is easier penned by putting the teeth against the ground and moving your boom to get the pen lined up.
Ivers farms took us with them to a precision planting conference. It’s very interesting. I’m not a farmer, but have been watching farmtubers for several years. I’ve learned so much. The tech involved in big ag & it’s quite amazing how much little changes in soils can make a big difference when harvest comes.
Good choice on the JD 135C. The next attachment to buy is a brush chopper that attaches to the boom. Great for overhangs and clearing ditches andmuch more !
I bought a 24" smooth bucket for tile work and it's perfect in my opinion, I've also got a 30" smooth tooth bucket and for tile starts it's nice having the smaller hole to backfill.
Congratulations on a nice unit !! I had to check and see the weight, and I was surprised at how heavy it is!!! I was thinking 18,000 and you shouldn't have a problem hauling it and then wow 30,000 plus and I was shocked,!!! Good luck with it
Ben there’s a valve on the arm side that turns the flow for aux from one way to bidirectional flow. This is what you turn for thumb to compactor style flows. If you get ahold of Clint at C&C Equipment who has a RUclips channel and a heavy equipment shop in Illinois he can help you with most anything John Deere. Hope this helps.
Nice clean example with extra features especially for its age👍I had been looking at smaller excavator like Doosan, been watching Ali’s Digging Diary on YT for servicing n problems look out for. Enjoy new excavator👍
Ben Congratulation on the equipment purchase, You dodged a bullet by not buying a Kubota excavator their engines a priceless to work on You will find out on your skid steer look up Dirt Perfect you tube channel, for you hydraulic thumb and a narrow bucket look up Letsdig 18 he came up with the perfect duo good luck!!!!!
135 are good Machines . Johndeere pins and bushings don't last . If you looking for buckets I would try Hayden Equipment in Springfield MO they have a ton of buckets on there lot ask for Jason Parker in sales . He's a honest guy for a salesman
Probably won't be long before you ditch that mechanical thumb for a hydraulic one if you have extra accessory hydraulic outlets for one. Those non movable units can be a pain.

Nice looking mini excavator Ben
I TOTALLY ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO BEN
Thanks Randy!
Congrats no better feeling than new tools
Thank you!
Have fun with you new toy. You can dredge the pond, tear out trees, oh the fun to be had!
Lots of work to be done!
I had a heavy duty 36" bucket on my old komatsu 250 hoe (60,000 lbs). Its about a 1 yard with 4 huge teeth. Narrow bucket good for trees.
Nice machine Ben, you did well.
Thanks 👍
Nice machine
It sure is!
Mollie moving down on the love list ...... 🤣.... it is true... men do like new toys !!!!!
Yes they do. But no move down the love list.
Thanks so much everyone!
See if you can find a used dump truck with a trailer! 👍 thanks for the update!
Don’t need a dump truck… yet
13.20=slip plate, love it.
dogs are the best.
"Just last month" you was at 25,000. time flies.
I think it’s been longer than a month lol
I’m so happy that you finally found an excavator! You do like tiling (I know this bc you even traveled to Ohio to help Brown’s do theirs) & this will make tiling easier.
I think it will speed things up!
@@iowANFarmer I do too! I know you’ve been looking a long time & trying them out to find what you like. Your operation is growing!
Great video Ben
Nice machine!

Had the same reaction when I saw my new bobcat had heating and air conditioning too. At that moment, I knew I had just cheated on my wife.
It’s the simple things
Great looking excavator Ben! I think you will learn that the thumb is easier penned by putting the teeth against the ground and moving your boom to get the pen lined up.
That was my second plan if this one didn’t work.
Or move it closer to the cab until the balance point was right.

Get a step deck trailer and put either a conex box or box off an old cargo truck to hold tiling supplies on the upper deck
congratulations on growing your farm equipment
Big Boys and their Toys lol😊 love your videos 🎉
Awesome!

I need the blue excavator 🙋🏼♀️
Lived in Webster City for 3 years after I got out of the military....1971-1974!
Thanks for your service!
That’s sweet I live in Webster city
We all laugh at the AI comments but we all know it’s coming down the road. Sweet looking machine Ben.
That conference was like 15mins west of me
It was good!
@@iowANFarmer yeah I didn’t know they had one going over there
Thats a nice excavator. How deep can she dig?
Not sure on that. There is a graph in the cab that tell you I think.
There's a guy here in town that moves a 145 on a 20 ton tag with a tandem tractor. The RGN market is still pretty rough.
Grease ...........Grease ...... Grease
How many hours does skid steer have now. Awesome machine super clean

Is that a used bucket place or new? I hear new buckets are $$$$
@iowANFarmer Ben they have both new used anything you could even want for a Excavator . Might even look on there website
@@zcole6612 I’ll do that
Ben wear safety glasses when you're banging that metal!!
Your going want a hydraulic thumb . Nice machine
Congratulations on getting the track hoe. You’re going to love it! Hope you all have a blessed and Merry Christmas.
Colts right, if it's wing nuts ...a hammer can be a wrench
That is a correct statement.
Did someone rebuild the boom? Something seems wrong with the paint.
That’s where a logo sticker was

Wasn't they built by Hitachi ❓❓
Yes

It’s been repainted. The C series were all yellow this is painted to look like a D series
Good catch! Thank you!
Tint the windows
What’s that do?
👍👍👍👍🚜🚜🐶🐶🎅🎅🎄🎄❄❄
The government mandated moving forward beeping is quite annoying.
Did it come with a screwdriver?😅
"Now all it needs is a screwdriver" - Colt
Nice track hoe
EXCAVATOR not essssscavator. 😂
Stopped watching after you didn't have a hydraulic thumb!
Beggars can’t be choosers! I’ll get one hopefully
A little lubrication goes a long way when working with pins 👍🦾
