The clever use of reference such as albedo clones, Klee and Alice living in Golden Apple Apartment, the city being called new Khaenriah and Scaramouche being able to control the city elements such as making it rain or sunny (Such as Shouki no Kami being able to control almost all elements) gives this a very strong feeling of staying true to the root of genshin impact. The animation is as expected delivered amazingly. Kinda sad that it's only a 14 minutes ish video. Would love to see more
Yeah. The only minor complaint I have is that Alice seems so wildly different compared to her canon self, but that's jarring, but that's more my personal opinion and not a problem with the writing.

Raiden and Albedo is a duo I didn't know we needed, it's so cool to see characters that wouldn't interact with each other work together in these animations, great job to everyone who worked on this, you guys are killing it man!
Considering that both are created artificially, Raiden Shogun is machine or pretty much a human like android with programming, and Albedo if I remember it right was created with alchemy

Holy. Raiden immediately noticing the soldier's momentary distraction and using this to her advantage to suddenly camuflage herself into another citizen with her umbrella open was pretty slick!
Fun fact: The reason why Scaramouche/Wanderer activated the rain at: 8:25 was because he's helping them escape and all this idea are Raiden and probably the other three archons. (Venti, Zhongli and Nahida.) I hope this series get more episodes.. It's amazing to watch this kinds of series.
Yeah, Scaramouche does not seem to be helping ZantaCorp. (Is that what they are called? Lmao) Raiden and Albedo are yellow and pink, while the droids are red/hostile 8:29 I really love how his hat is a mix between his Wanderer version/Lotus flower, and the red resembles his time as the Balladeer. But it's clear that he isn't a bad guy in this AU. So either the Corporation is the Fatui, and Scara defected. Or ZantaCorp is Celestia that wants to wipe out Synthetics to maintain order like in the canon game, and the Fatui are the synthetic movement. This takes place in a sci-fi version of Khaenri'ah/or in this case 'New' Khaenri'ah. Pretty interesting stuff. Now I want to play this version of Genshin Impact. I'd throw my money at it. Update: Oh! Oh! What if The Traveler/Twins are the bad guys in this?

Blew my mind. Seriously. As a Genshin player who enjoys the lore and pretty visuals, this was insane. I loved the Albedo clones and Alice's face not being shown, the Shogun's polearm being able to switch as a gun to even an umbrella, and Scaramouche controlling the artificial weather with his hat!? 10/10, can't wait for more.
It's this kind of animation that made the early seasons of RWBY so good. The emotion put into every scene here is incredible and surpasses basically every animated show I've ever seen. Actually, it's even more than just the animation. The writing and the music were huge parts of what made this so good. I would love to see more of this style of animated storytelling.
@@crimsonhunter8997 I totally agree. RWBY changed after Monty passed. Monty left this world far too soon, but it's still really nice to see that a part of him and his genius lives on in animators like Dillon and Shane (two of the animators who made this video who worked with Monty on RWBY).

The Albedo being dragged under her umbrella was so good. AND EI’S INCREDIBLE SPEED AS THE TRUE HALLMARK OF RAIDEN SHOGUN. THE EYE SYMBOL A SPILT SECOND BEFORE IT EXPLODED AND THE CHAKRA RING. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS IS SO AMAZING HELLO!? TALENT!?
My jaw is on the floor. I think what really got me is HOW animated the characters were. Those facial expressions made me so invested. Wow! All around, just wow!

A great demonstration of the balance between drama, comedy, and action that most of Hollywood seems to have forgotten. Great fight choreography and visual language, that's equally at home in _Cyberpunk_ or _HSR_ . _Genshin_ players can also enjoy easter eggs and the way things relate to the game, while also appreciating how this is a separate world, with a different Alice who might value organic ties over synthetic ones. I'm very certain this Klee would be close friends with Hook.
The faint remorse in her expression when she makes it an ultimatum; she knows that he has no choice about accepting her help if he wants to protect Klee, but she also feels that she has no choice but to get his help through any means necessary if she wants them to win the war. All that! In one moment of resolute motionlessness and a faint twitch of brows!! What the fuck!!!! It's so good?????
I can’t tell you how badly i want more of THIS story; of this conflict. For a 12 minute video, you built a compelling narrative with clear emotional stakes. Dang I want more. I want to see what happens next. I want to see what Happened Before. I just want more
12:18 just wanna say the sync here with the beat is such a neat detail, I keep rewatching it. This entire video was incredible, I'm genuinely blown away
Things I love about this animation: - The design for the city. It feels lived in despite there not necessarily being many people in the background. Just the details of the city's aesthetic, the weather and day cycle system... Nothing is out of place - The whole war going on that we don't even get to see. There's so much implied here that isn't explicitly explained. Albedo, Raiden, and Wanderer being 'synthetics' makes sense considering Genshin lore, but what about Sucrose? I'm guessing she was a sympathizer, which then recontextualises her death and why Albedo gets so worked up at 5:06 - 1:54 is such a cool and creative usage of Wanderer's hat. - That slap at 3:23 is not only hilarious, but also is a great way to show not tell that Raiden is not hostile - 6:09 that tea set design is really cool and intricate for the short amount of screen-time it gets - The hand-drawn animations at 7:10, 7:30 and 7:55 are hilarious but also really add to the style - 7:35 Klee the arsonist strikes again (this also explains why they've captured her later) - 8:35 the little worker on the platform panicking from the sudden weather system 'malfunction' lol - 8:44 I'm surprised the L-bot got distracted by the sudden change in weather. Surely if they were purely robotic they would focus on their primary objective? How 'human' are they really? - 10:21 the drone getting scared lol - 10:46 - 11:01 Raiden closes her umbrella, revealing more L-bots in the background while asking if L-13 really thought he could handle them all on his own - An original song that kinda slaps? And Waterflame is involved?!? - 0:10 spoilers???? All in all, this is a wonderful animation that evidently has so much heart and effort poured into it. It's faithful to the core parts of the source material but also impressively creative. It's all maybe just enough to forgive the cars popping in at 11:29 /s
Guessing the L-bot got distracted by the weather because it's 'supposed' to be a clear sky. It got distracted for just a moment, but that moment was enough for Raiden to notice it and adapt.
Also i like that in 6:23 and 7:38 Raiden and Scaramouche are possibly communicate for any robots coming their way, i don’t think Raiden could “sense” that they’re coming. So them working together are unstoppable >:))

How can people animate character expressions to be this fluid? I could sense every kind of emotion felt by these characters just by their eyes. I can't easily remember any other animated media that has successfully done this so well. Truly master class!
So my aibou and I watched this and we were screaming the whole time, we loved every single minute of this, the wanderer with his hat, the raiden slap, the combat, mentioning sucrose broke us both big time, I would pay so much to see this become a series

Actually, there is a high possibility that this animation was sponsored by hoyoverse themselves. I wouldn't talk about all the genshin animations, but at least I'm sure about those which were showed in the Spring Wonderland web event. And I'm positive that all hoyofair animations are also sponsored by hoyoverse. But it doesn't make them bad, quite the opposite - I'm glad that animators get their payment.
Also, keep in mind: this man is using an altered version of Blender. It is still probably quite intensive to make like animated thing, but it's probably at least a little easier.
The level of animation, graphic effects, facial expressions and voice acting are beyond me, this is what I wished Hoyoverse would've done for their games, you people are truly talented! 🙏
i dont really know the lore of genshin, and ive never seen any of your animations before. but this animation, the choreography, the acting, with a very intriguing start to a story. I subbed so quick after watching and i will watch this story with great interest.
The animation itself is not 100% attached to genshin lore, but I'll explain the basics so you can get some detais. 1° = Albedo(in this case L-13), raiden, and the mysterious guy with the hacking hat (a.k.a. scaramouch) are not humans. Albedo ingame is made by a witch (idk exactly how, but I know he doesn't get old), the other 2 are madr by a god and are puppets. 2° = klee likes bombs, and alice is klee's mom. Albedo is not her brother, but they are pretty close and klee treats albedo like a brother 3° = inazuma. Because of the shogunate, much like real life events, inazuma (that is inspired by japan) is closeted to external events and all of that. And for this reason, they had a civil war, where ppl would fight for the end of the shogunate. As for now, there isnt anything else that I think is worth noting about gensgin's lore. ^^ Edit: oh also, raiden uses a polearm/sword, that is just a cosmetic detail. She is also electro (thunder element), while albedo is geo (rock, tho I dont think thats relevant). Oh, and dodoco is klee's plushie friend (its on her backpack)

@@AuxYuuYui Albedo is a synthetic human (not to sure if Homunculus was used to describe him in game) that was created by Rhinedottir, who had been trying to create a human through alchemy (She was already known to be able to create many other living beings).
I think its cool how both Scaramouche and Wanderer is shown in his design. He has the colors of Scara but most of the clothing is in Wanderer's fashion. Just a fun small detail :) Loved this Edit: I just realized what ZandiCorp was. Minus the -orp. LORE.
I really like the story and some of the details you put into this animation. In 3:25, Raiden slaps Abeldol in the face to make him realize she has no intention of harming him (If it's an enemy they will arrest him, not slap him). In 9:55, Raiden offers her hand to Abeldol while looking around to make sure there are no enemies nearby. That action shows that she is very careful and in a hurry
From a magical medieval setting to WAY far in the future in a cyberpunk setting. This really tingles my feelings! Inspiring! I might start crafting a Cyberpunk/Shadowrun world setting now!
This isn't an AU I expected, but boy am I interested! The animation and music are remarkable. A film mixed with serious, comedic, and downright badass scenes like this one deserves all the views in the world! The story is just developing, and may not get a sequel, but I was hooked for every last minute. I love this so much, and to everyone who came together to create this short film, thank you for your hard work!
Not an original comment: About Raiden's weapon. It actually represents both Ei AND Makoto super well. The umbrella can be used for disguise, covering identity, and even form a barrier, showing Matoko's protective nature of how she wants to keep Ei back. And the gun/polearm is obviously showing Ei's unrivaled combat prowess on how she always backs up Matoko whenever a battle is needed. The tea is kind of a reference on Ei's mission part 2 where she enjoyed a teatime with the traveler.

The artists were actually given a proper story board and time to animate the characters. I hope these artists keep getting the opportunities to work in projects that utilize their full potential like this one.

It's going to drive me insane never knowing what led to Klee's fate. Also happy to see Waterflame involved in this. Waterflame's music is always soooooo good. And I love how the sound design contributes to directing the beats of each scene (even running footsteps dictate between break time 7:56 and BACK TO THE ACTION RUN LIKE HELL! 8:08 ). REAAAAAAALLY wished this wasn't a one-shot. This kind of storytelling is my cup of tea. ...Also, I want that retractable tea set.

The attacking choreography is incredible!! I looks so fluid and realistic! Everything at 10:03 was awesome! Albedo's kick/spin/then 3 shots to 2 shots. And Raiden's weapon?! Just so cool!!

Wow, this almost feels like if Monty Oum spun Genshin with a Cyberpunk twist. And i do mean that as a compliment. Plus Albedo and Raiden surely make an interesting combination. This is genuinely pretty cool and I'd be so excited to see if this became a finished series.

Exactly, I started off from Episode 2 and the whole thing gave me so much of the RWBY vibes.
Well, one of the animators is Shane Newville, who worked closely with Monty, making some fight scenes for RWBY seasons 1-3.

Fun fact: The reason why Scaramouche/Wanderer activated the rain at: 8:25 was because he's helping them escape and all this idea are Raiden and probably the other three archons. (Venti, Zhongli and Nahida.) I hope this series get more episodes.. It's amazing to watch this kinds of series.

I really love how his hat is a mix between his Wanderer version/Lotus flower, and the red resembles his time as the Balladeer. But it's clear that he isn't a bad guy in this AU.
So either the Corporation is the Fatui, and Scara defected. Or ZantaCorp is Celestia that wants to wipe out Synthetics to maintain order like in the canon game, and the Fatui are the synthetic movement.
This takes place in a sci-fi version of Khaenri'ah/or in this case 'New' Khaenri'ah. Pretty interesting stuff.
Now I want to play this version of Genshin Impact. I'd throw my money at it.

Blew my mind. Seriously. As a Genshin player who enjoys the lore and pretty visuals, this was insane. I loved the Albedo clones and Alice's face not being shown, the Shogun's polearm being able to switch as a gun to even an umbrella, and Scaramouche controlling the artificial weather with his hat!? 10/10, can't wait for more.

It's this kind of animation that made the early seasons of RWBY so good. The emotion put into every scene here is incredible and surpasses basically every animated show I've ever seen. Actually, it's even more than just the animation. The writing and the music were huge parts of what made this so good. I would love to see more of this style of animated storytelling.

A great demonstration of the balance between drama, comedy, and action that most of Hollywood seems to have forgotten. Great fight choreography and visual language, that's equally at home in _Cyberpunk_ or _HSR_ . _Genshin_ players can also enjoy easter eggs and the way things relate to the game, while also appreciating how this is a separate world, with a different Alice who might value organic ties over synthetic ones. I'm very certain this Klee would be close friends with Hook.
The faint remorse in her expression when she makes it an ultimatum; she knows that he has no choice about accepting her help if he wants to protect Klee, but she also feels that she has no choice but to get his help through any means necessary if she wants them to win the war. All that! In one moment of resolute motionlessness and a faint twitch of brows!! What the fuck!!!! It's so good?????

Things I love about this animation:
- The design for the city. It feels lived in despite there not necessarily being many people in the background. Just the details of the city's aesthetic, the weather and day cycle system... Nothing is out of place
- The whole war going on that we don't even get to see. There's so much implied here that isn't explicitly explained. Albedo, Raiden, and Wanderer being 'synthetics' makes sense considering Genshin lore, but what about Sucrose? I'm guessing she was a sympathizer, which then recontextualises her death and why Albedo gets so worked up at 5:06
- 1:54 is such a cool and creative usage of Wanderer's hat.
- That slap at 3:23 is not only hilarious, but also is a great way to show not tell that Raiden is not hostile
- 6:09 that tea set design is really cool and intricate for the short amount of screen-time it gets
- The hand-drawn animations at 7:10, 7:30 and 7:55 are hilarious but also really add to the style
- 7:35 Klee the arsonist strikes again (this also explains why they've captured her later)
- 8:35 the little worker on the platform panicking from the sudden weather system 'malfunction' lol
- 8:44 I'm surprised the L-bot got distracted by the sudden change in weather. Surely if they were purely robotic they would focus on their primary objective? How 'human' are they really?
- 10:21 the drone getting scared lol

- 11:01 Raiden closes her umbrella, revealing more L-bots in the background while asking if L-13 really thought he could handle them all on his own

All in all, this is a wonderful animation that evidently has so much heart and effort poured into it. It's faithful to the core parts of the source material but also impressively creative.

Guessing the L-bot got distracted by the weather because it's 'supposed' to be a clear sky. It got distracted for just a moment, but that moment was enough for Raiden to notice it and adapt.
Also i like that in 6:23 and 7:38 Raiden and Scaramouche are possibly communicate for any robots coming their way, i don’t think Raiden could “sense” that they’re coming. So them working together are unstoppable >:))

Actually, there is a high possibility that this animation was sponsored by hoyoverse themselves. I wouldn't talk about all the genshin animations, but at least I'm sure about those which were showed in the Spring Wonderland web event. And I'm positive that all hoyofair animations are also sponsored by hoyoverse. But it doesn't make them bad, quite the opposite - I'm glad that animators get their payment.
Also, keep in mind: this man is using an altered version of Blender. It is still probably quite intensive to make like animated thing, but it's probably at least a little easier.

i dont really know the lore of genshin, and ive never seen any of your animations before. but this animation, the choreography, the acting, with a very intriguing start to a story. I subbed so quick after watching and i will watch this story with great interest.
The animation itself is not 100% attached to genshin lore, but I'll explain the basics so you can get some detais.
1° = Albedo(in this case L-13), raiden, and the mysterious guy with the hacking hat (a.k.a. scaramouch) are not humans. Albedo ingame is made by a witch (idk exactly how, but I know he doesn't get old), the other 2 are madr by a god and are puppets.
2° = klee likes bombs, and alice is klee's mom. Albedo is not her brother, but they are pretty close and klee treats albedo like a brother
3° = inazuma. Because of the shogunate, much like real life events, inazuma (that is inspired by japan) is closeted to external events and all of that. And for this reason, they had a civil war, where ppl would fight for the end of the shogunate.
As for now, there isnt anything else that I think is worth noting about gensgin's lore. ^^
Edit: oh also, raiden uses a polearm/sword, that is just a cosmetic detail. She is also electro (thunder element), while albedo is geo (rock, tho I dont think thats relevant). Oh, and dodoco is klee's plushie friend (its on her backpack)

I really like the story and some of the details you put into this animation. In 3:25, Raiden slaps Abeldol in the face to make him realize she has no intention of harming him (If it's an enemy they will arrest him, not slap him). In 9:55, Raiden offers her hand to Abeldol while looking around to make sure there are no enemies nearby. That action shows that she is very careful and in a hurry
And, at 11:02, her umbrella closes around the time she says "them all" to reveal a bunch of Dronebedos

About Raiden's weapon. It actually represents both Ei AND Makoto super well. The umbrella can be used for disguise, covering identity, and even form a barrier, showing Matoko's protective nature of how she wants to keep Ei back. And the gun/polearm is obviously showing Ei's unrivaled combat prowess on how she always backs up Matoko whenever a battle is needed. The tea is kind of a reference on Ei's mission part 2 where she enjoyed a teatime with the traveler.

The artists were actually given a proper story board and time to animate the characters. I loved watching RWBY as a kid and this brought back so many good memories, the animation, its incredibly impressive both your skills and the voice actors, thank you for this video!
