This is THE BEST WAY TO START MY SATURDAY! Knowing the Smith family is ok and Jason's health is improving is awesome!! I sat here wearing a huge smile for the entire hour. MaryCarl driving her Daddy to the Doctor and being perfectly fine waiting in the car was so precious! I admit I became a bit misty several times. The Smith family bond is absolutely THE BEST! I do enjoy the side stories - except snakes falling on people's heads. (I have been a 'pet snake-sitter' many times in my life.) I do not want anything falling on my head in a barn! I was around 9 or 10 and while visiting my maternal grandparents a snake fell from the barn rafters . . . directly in front of me. It was so close I felt it brush the edge of my sun-hat. It happened so fast I almost stepped on the snake. My cousin fainted - he was walking beside me. Much later had a good laugh about it. (We never told family he fainted. That was our secret.)
Fisherman's Friends were originally created by a lady in a town called Fleetwood in north West uk. My husband and I used to live near there and learnt the history. The original factory is still there

It is really a blessing having a teenager that can and will take care of a ill parent. My son was like that as well. He came home even from college on spring break and helped take care of me after a back surgery. Adult children like that are a blessing. I miss my boy so much, they had to move away for a job.

You are correct Jason. My husband does facility maintenance for a franchise McDonald's. Most of the time the shake ice cream machine is down is because the store has not maintained the maintenance on the machine.
I taught my girls how to be independent and boys do everything too!4 girls 5 boys. Husband shop teacher taught his kids how to work. I’m 81, husband passed all kids doing well and taking care of families. Living well grands and great grands now. lol! Still taking care of myself house mow grass drive long distances. Love being independent and give God all glory for my blessings!

I loved getting things from someone’s curb when I lived in the city. I now live in a small town and you don’t see stuff on the side of the road. I have put some stuff on the curb and had people come and pick it up but I live right across from the school. Some parents would pick up their kids and would see the stuff and then pick it up.

My great granny made a simple liniment. 90% rubbing alcohol with 8-10 cubes of camphor. Use a sprayer on the alcohol bottle. Use on neck and chest for colds. Use for back and muscle aches. Use a small square of tissue with it, lay it at the opening of the ear, but not in the ear for earaches. Zinc and C, fluids.

Since I have gotten sick, he has done most of the laundry even for our granddaughter's that we adopted. I agree that we all should be as independent as possible. The only thing about round bales is you have to be very careful on what you buy. Especially if you're feeding horses round bales a lot of time will be mildew inside which can cause many diseases. The round bale is definitely not good for horses, Sometimes they are very dusty more so than a regular bale of hay. So be very careful on how they are bailed. 🤠 My mother was an RN who practiced holistic solutions. During the winter when sinus drainage gave us sore throats, she kept horehound drops to ease our coughs. They work great, and I still use them today at age 72.

I was getting over it before Jason the best thing I was using was vapocool throat spray. And I tell you why my throat wasn’t hurting but it cleared my whole head up for about 30 min. Made my throat numb also but hey I could breathe and wasn’t snotty

It's best that if you have to be sick, it's now when you don't have stuff to do outside. You'll be well rested in time for working in the garden and doing outside projects.

Yes, McDonald’s is huge on QC-(Quality Control) their soda machines are broke down every night, cleaned & sanitized & regularly calibrated so the right amount of syrup to soda water is distributed. They break down & sanitize their ice cream & shake machines every night too

My oldest brother fell in love with a car when he was 14yrs old, he is 82 now and still has that càr. It is a 40 Ford Coupe.

He's coughing and sweating and feels just awful. Jason my husband had a 1968 GMC sidestep for years. Our sons liked driving it when we'd let them. Yes, McDonald’s is huge on QC-(Quality Control) their soda machines are broke down every night, cleaned & sanitized & regularly calibrated so the right amount of syrup to soda water is distributed.
They break down & sanitize their ice cream & shake machines every night too

I'm with you, Jason. I love French fries, and I get McDonalds small fry for a snack.
I use honey and lemon for a cough, most of the time I use it with hot tea.
