Since a lot of people are asking - no, this is not random. The one showing up is the character you have talked to the most. So if you get Sumire, Gocteau, Cassandra etc, that's why. You can easily get around this by talking to your favorite about 50 times, save before the event and trying.

It's truly a wonderful thing. Each of them, on or off the battlefield, every single member in their own way, gives their full support to Nowa here. From a nameless nobody from some small village to a grand leader fighting for world peace. A puppet king he may be, the results more than justify the ruse.

I'm not far in the game yet (just got to Hishahn), but I heard about this and wanted to come check some of the scenes out. And I had to check out my favorite character's scene first.
Francesca's was pretty surprising (her backstory makes me think of Alfyn from Octopath Traveler - ill as a child, saved by a kind healer, inspired to become a healer themselves afterward), but also funny as hell.
I might check out a few more, but only for the characters I've recruited so far. Thanks for making this! Must've been very time-consuming.

I was curious if any dialogue changes if you missed out on the last character, causing a major event, and yes, I can confirm at least one character's dialogue with Nowa will change. I don't know if you have the time, but it would be cool if you can check the characters closest to the major event and add those recordings!! Maybe a different vid...
Getting Gocteau for this scene is the same energy as getting the bard in Dragons Dogma

Well it is implied a few times that nowa like her too. Call her Perry. And she does jump infront of him. With the assassin scene. She makes sense to be the love interest.

While these scenes are nice, I just wish there was a follow cutscene at the end, where Nowa and the other character, in my case Perielle met back up with some indication that they pursued a closer relationship in the days following the war.
Maybe it could happens in an sequel.
I feel this would remain the space of either leaving it to the players headcannon or no specific character mentioned if its ever Brought up again

If it helps, so did I! That's when I kinda figured it had to be either random, or related to who you talked to the most as I had talked a looot to Gocteau for missions.. Turns out that was right. Reloaded, redid all of them, and ended up picking Perrielle as my canon.

I got Cassandra, was so confused because why is this hot elf lady talking to me before the final battle. Now I know its a "love" scene. I guess I get Cassandra because I abused the free heals and save from her so many times, wonder if anyone got her as well

Thanks for your hard work... watching it as I grind the card battles :-D Love the Game, but the Mini Games, and especially the achievements requiring to go real in depth with them, diminish the greatness somewhat... Trueachievements lists ECHH as only a 4/10, but those grinds are painful.

That is a different scene that plays out - this one comes later in the game. :)

Howw do you trigger this event? i just got past final battle and i didnt know how to trigger it. And perry was missing at the time. Can anyone help? Id like to go back
As far as I know, its not skippable. You probably had it, but forgot about it. It's the night before the last major battle.

It’s based on who you talked to most in the castle, that’s why you see a lot of people getting Ymir, Goctea, Sumire etc
