@@skinniesANDtitties for tech specs I wouldn’t trust any of these new guys. Makes sense for them to cut out an expensive zoom unit for foam which is much better these days. Can’t say I’m happy about it though. Kobe 6 was always going to be a tough one as it was so good to begin with. Hard to improve perfection!
He needs to get his history right. Before he makes a review on RUclips. He said so many wrong things about this shoe. Besides he’s gonna end up selling anyways

This shoe will go down in the Kobe line history. Such a classic shoe, the whole world trynna go for these. I’ve only played in Kobe’s and the 9s were always my go to. crazy thing about this shoe also is when they first came out I remember seeing these and the south beach lebron 8s at NikeTown. They actually had sat and didn't sell out immediately. A decade later thats definitely not happening now.
The Holiday collections were how I got invested into Nike Basketball. They always had nice collections like the Easter series and the Christmas ones. I’m assuming since sales went down over the years (Around the KD 8 & 9 era), Nike stopped doing holiday collections because they weren’t selling out how they used to. Hopefully one day they make a return because the colorways were super unique.

He only had one Achilles surgery and the heavy padding was to secure the heel like soccer shoes. Kobe did not tear his Achilles until the Kobe 8s. Also there is no zoom in the heel. They only put the Zoom turbo in the front.

If you have narrow feet and wear off white size 9 comfortably for most shoes (vapormax, etc), would you go tts or half size up. Jordan 1 I wear size 9 as well

Great video and review . One thing, the padded heel has nothing to do with his achilles injury but fit and performance. This shoe came out 2-3 years before his achilles injury
Maybe the goat basketball shoes. Although you mentioned the achilles injury, but the original Kobe 6 (Grinch) released in the 10-11 season, and Kobe didnt tear his achilles until April 2013

When they originally came out they weren't called Grinch by Nike. The blogs gave them that name. They're not going to call them Grinch this year because it cost money to name them that. They would have to pay a fee to the people that own "Grinch" and we'd have to pay a bit more for the sneaker

Actual Protro cushion changes for those interested:
-Full length cushlon instead of phylon
-heel is cushlon only, no zoom in heel
-forefoot is zoom turbo (i.e. Kyrie 5-7), no zoom MET bag

no heel zoom, only large articulated forefoot zoom and it looks like the foam is an injected phylon like the kobe4. Kobe only had one achilles injury surgery and it's not with kobe 6, it was the kobe8 and that's why kobe 9 onwards have those sort of stiches graphic on the heel, kobe9 onwards also have reduced material in the heel or less bulk so that he will have better mobility due to his achilles. Still, great shoes and congrats for getting a pair of kobe6, i'm just preparing for my L tomorrow..
Still so sad about losing Kobe 🙏🏽🙏🏽😭😭
