Comparing the football game attendance [FSU vs Miami football home game attendance], is one of thee oldest and lamest small issues, for any fans outside of the University of Miami fan base, to keep trying to point-out and use as an insult to our Program. There's several very credible and legitimate reasons WHY UM's home attendance is sort of rocky at times vs other programs... especially those programs like FSU and UF who are located in the middle of CFB Towns. Here's my book on this subject: 1. CFB Towns: FSU, UF, Nebraska, UGA, Bama, VT, U of Texas, OU... etc, etc, etc, etc... are ALL CFB towns. They have no Pro Football teams home-based [via stadium] in their towns. Most CFB programs are like that. Therefor, their CFB team/University [located in the heart of their town] is considered by the people of those towns to be their LIVE ''Pro'' football entertainment. The same can be said for towns who don''t even have a College/University [with a football team] in their town, so they will turn to being Highschool football towns, who use attending Live Highschool football games to quench their local 'Live' football thirst/hunger [The whole TOWN will shut-down for those games]. So, there are CFB ONLY towns, Highschool football ONLY towns... then there's towns/cities that have been blessed with all 3... Miami is one of them. Let's take FSU and UF for good examples: Although there are 3 Professional level football franchises in the State of Fl, the people of Tallahassee would have to travel 160+ MILES to reach the closest/nearest NFL stadium [Jacksonville] to watch a Pro Game, the people of Gainesville 70+ Miles to get to that same [Jacksonville] stadium. Which means, they are STILL too far away... no easy access to a Pro Football Stadium. So, in order to [easily... quick local access] quench their 'Live football' desires [good family entertainment for a beautiful Saturday] they attend a College level football game, in support of their Hometown CFB program easily equals... ''PACKED Stadium''... ''WALLA!''. . Hey, where else in town are they going to go for family entertainment [at very good financial value]?... They've been spending all week going to those few other [in town] venues. Think about it: There are 120+ CFB programs in this Nation, and only 32 NFL teams. That add's-up to 88+ CFB teams being located in towns were there are NO NFL franchises/stadiums located in those areas... [Instantly Equaling to ''Packed Stadiums'']. That's the Majority of CFB Nation [Making Miami and their CFB game attendance look bad]. Miami on the other hand, the Stadium is pretty much right in our back-yard. If you live somewhere in Miami or South Broward, it will only take you no more than an hour at the most to reach our stadium [via a vehicle that is]. Miami is in a very unique situation. If Miami didn't have the Dolphins, and had only the Hurricanes [which would make us a CFB town], then the Stadium would be much more fuller. Not as consistently full as it is in Tally or Gainesville [because of other reasons i'll explain below]... but full enough to be respectable. 2. Miami Dolphins: The Miami Dolphins are thee #1 Sports franchise here IN Miami, ['Heat #2]. Both Dolphins and Canes share that very same stadium. Sometimes there are weekends in which the Hurricanes will have a home game on Saturday, and the very next day, the Dolphins will play their home-game in that very same venue. Now, think about it: Who's going to go to a stadium to watch a Live football game one day, then go the very next day to watch another 'LIVE' football game [same stadium or not]? Watching live football games in that hot sun for hours... is very draining. You don't want to do that two days in a [dang] row. Most Miami [Band-wagoner] football fans, if they had a choice, they'd choose to go to a Professional Football game, than a CFB game [IF both the Dolphins and Canes are playing in that stadium on the same weekend]... although, it really depends on who UM is playing. If they're playing a BIG-Name... highly RANKED program, like FSU, UF, USC, BAMA, OU... etc, then the stadium would be packed, because it's [obviously] a Hot Ticket. But if not, mostly everyone who's not a TRUE Hurricane fan, will be saving themselves for next days Dolphin game. That's just the way it is down here. 3. There's many Minorities [Immigrants] who live down here, compared to other U.S. CFB towns: Most of the people [66+ percent] who reside down here are of a Latin descent. 14% White [Non Latin], 18% Black [Including Haitians]. Miami [Att] is predominantly Latin... look it up if you don't believe me. Therefore, the majority of the people who live here in Miami are bigger Soccer fans, than they are American Football fans. The Majority of the Hurricane and Dolphin fans who attend the games, are going to be from the Broward Counties [Especially the majority of the Dolphins fans]... and on up the coast [Thank God, our stadium is located at the 'Dade-Broward' line]. So, we aren't in a good racial [American football loving] demographics spot. Tally, Gainesville, Nebraska, Texas, OU, Bama... etc, etc... are ALL Mostly White and Black American towns, that Love American Football, and have much larger Campuses, compared to the much smaller Miami Campus and smaller student population. 4. UM is a SMALL ''Private'' University: UF student population: 49,000 FSU student population: 41,000 UM student population: 16-17,000 ... You get the picture. That's 40,000+ extra Student fans [with free student tickets/passes. Don't forget an extra thousand+ more tickets for Alumni, Faculty, Staff and Band] in those stadium seats for both UF and FSU to fill their stadiums at 'home' games [The exact same could be said for Neb, Bama, and all of the other Major CFB Town programs]. While Miami only has 17,000 [free student tickets + a few thousand more for Alumni, faculty, staff and band] to fill their home stadium... that's a huge difference and advantage. Only 20,000+ fans outside of both UF and FSU students, would have to show for their stadiums to be filled, which means that the Majority of the fans in their stadiums [and mostly all CFB stadiums, that are in CFB towns] will be filled via their own students, alumni, faculty, staff and band. Miami [again] is a small 'Private' College, not a Huge 'State' financially funded Institution. The Miami Stadium on the other hand, would only be filled with 20,000 students, alumni, faculty and staff, while the rest would have to come from the UM outsiders/fans... and the guests [of the visiting team and THEIR band... etc]. That's the way it's always been, that's the way it always will be. Miami's a small college, using a Large Pro Football Venue/Stadium. While FSU and UF... etc, are Major, State Supported Universities... Please keep that #1 in mind, before negatively judging Miami's Attendance, and trying to compare it to your MAJOR ''Tax Payer'' 40,000+ Student... University. 5. There's plenty to do in Miami on a beautiful Saturday: We're loaded with PLENTY of Miami Beach Events, Biscayne Bay Events, Malls, Beaches, Boats/Yachts [Fishing, Scuba... etc, take a quick trip or cruise to the Bahamas, Jamaica, Virgin Islands... be back that same day] to do on those weekends. Unlike a Tally or a Gainesville town... etc. We're literally spoiled down here [with things to do, places to go for instant family and adult entertainment, besides everyone attending a saturday football game]. We're never 'bored' down here. You may say ''Well, what about 'USC', their stadium isn't located in a CFB Town, they have Pro football there and in the same stadium. They have beaches and plenty to do, how come THEY manage to fill their stadium at every home game?": Although USC is a 'Private' College as well [as Miami], they are a much Bigger College Institution than Miami. Their Student Population is currently at 42,000 [right up there with FSU and UF... etc]... which means that, that's 42,000+ FREE student, alumni, staff and Band... etc, football tickets in the stands of all of their home-games... [compared to Miami's meager 20,000]. PLUS you have the fans of the visiting team helping to fill the seats, of what the outside local [USC Fans] didn't fill in those seats. 6. Winning: UM must be 'Winning' in order for ALL of it's ['Band-wagon'- never did like those types of fans] UM fans to show up at ALL home games... if not, they get angry/frustrated and go to those other plethora of family entertainment venues that the City of Miami has provided for them... from time to time, instead of certain UM home games on their schedule. That's just the way it is down here. ================== ''Excuses, Excuses, Excuses... Full of Excuses''... Yeah, i know, but at least they're very understandable and credible ones... not just reaching for straws.
Immigrants is the reason no one watches Pac-12. 42% of California is immigrants. College sports is idiosyncratic to American culture. It’s a fact that goes over most people’s head.

I transferred from UMiami to Columbia University after my freshman year. But UM was legit dope (though I don't get why they shit on FSU so much; they're not even that much better of a school - just a bunch of kids on daddy's paycheck).
I find it funny how UM kids act like they are hot shit for going to that school and treat FSU like a safety school... I got into both and chose FSU because I didnt feel like wasting 40 grand a semester when I could spend LITERALLY a tenth of the cost at FSU, a school that in all honesty is on par with Miami. Miami's acceptance rate is 40.5%, not too big a difference from FSU, one that I wouldn't justify spending an extra 36k per semester on. If you get A's at either college it can pretty much get you anywhere you want to go, only difference is FSU isn't overpriced. If you ask me, UM is just another UF safety school.
I love how FSU students use the whole "Daddy payed.." "Mommy payed..". It's not anyone's fault that your parents made wrong decisions and my parents made the right one.
LOL the fact that the UM girl goes "where even is FSU?" says it all.. Florida State University is in the capital of FLORIDA do they not teach you that at UM? do they also not teach the football players where their end zone is??????????? (serious questions)

Here's my book on this subject:
1. CFB Towns:
FSU, UF, Nebraska, UGA, Bama, VT, U of Texas, OU... etc, etc, etc, etc... are ALL CFB towns.
CFB towns:
Most of the people [66+ percent] who reside down here are of a Latin descent.
4. UM is a SMALL ''Private'' University:
UF student population: 49,000
FSU student population: 41,000
UM student population: 16-17,000
University.
5. There's plenty to do in Miami on a beautiful Saturday:
We're loaded with PLENTY of Miami Beach Events, Biscayne Bay Events, Malls, Beaches, Boats/Yachts [Fishing, Scuba... etc, take a quick trip or cruise to the Bahamas, Jamaica, Virgin Islands... be back that same day] to do on those weekends.
They have beaches and plenty to do, how come THEY manage to fill their stadium at every home game?":
Although USC is a 'Private' College as well [as Miami], they are a much Bigger College Institution than Miami.
==================
''Excuses, Excuses, Excuses... Full of Excuses''... Yeah, i know, but at least they're very understandable and credible ones... not just reaching for straws.
Dude you didnt have to write a freaking novel to prove your point
Immigrants is the reason no one watches Pac-12. 42% of California is immigrants. College sports is idiosyncratic to American culture. It’s a fact that goes over most people’s head.
@@spencerthompson516 rightt😭
Having an "Angry Bird" as a mascot? Pretty fuckin funny. FSU fittingly uses the Chop 😏....UM throws up an alphabet letter. 😂
Nowhere in Florida will $4 last an entire week.
Miami may be down now but they have historically owned this rivalry in when both teams were at their best. Not to mention the U's players actually pan out in the NFL. However I am a hick and FSU is not that much of a hick town...sooooo.....
go noles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
haha the girl said if u can't get into UM you go to UF
I'd have to say most of the UM girls in this video were better looking. The UM people were more clever with their put downs too.
The best part of this video is knowing most of these "kids" and I say kids because that is how they're acting. Will be burn outs, drunks, or totally worthless individuals who will contribute nothing to society.
fax
Both schools had some heaters
Seminole are better. My dad went their and he makes 400-500k a year. At Miami you have a 50/50 chance of getting that type of opportunity
How many Noles does it take to change a lightbulb? One to change the lightbulb and the entire football team to sexually assault it
When I heard the FSU students I was like “shut up like actually shut up”
So funny! Do U of M vs Michigan state!! huge rivalry!
judging by the crowd at Miami football ganes, I didn't even know there were people who actually rooted for the canes
Do a Alabama vs auburn one
FSU ALL DAY!!!
I transferred from UMiami to Columbia University after my freshman year. But UM was legit dope (though I don't get why they shit on FSU so much; they're not even that much better of a school - just a bunch of kids on daddy's paycheck).
Cool
The UM Girls at 2:59 don't even know where the state capital is....
+James Hurst its tallanasty right?
No it's not. It's much harder to get in UM, they're currently at 35% acceptance rate while FSU is 56%
I was born and raise in Port Charlotte Florida I am FSU BIGGEST FAN ALL THE WAY From Samantha Lucas
Part 2 ? Please
I love how FSU students use the whole "Daddy payed.." "Mommy payed..". It's not anyone's fault that your parents made wrong decisions and my parents made the right one.
what songs are these ? there dope
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
All I can say is this entire video just makes me sure I never want to live in any part of Florida, as if I didn't already know.
LOL the fact that the UM girl goes "where even is FSU?" says it all.. Florida State University is in the capital of FLORIDA do they not teach you that at UM? do they also not teach the football players where their end zone is??????????? (serious questions)
She was joking ?
I know those FSU girls ain't talking about good looking girls
the girls at umiami are all the same looking jewish or Hispanic girls
So fratty. God help us all
wow u can really tell the difference between them
Zonin laws... Pay my federal tax code
If you aint a Gator, you're Gator bait. Go Gators!
Isn't gator bait what people use to trap and kill gators? Lol []_[]
+CANE FAN LMAO
Do one for ASU vs U of A!
it sucks so much when the Orange bowl was taken down. I'm a true die-hard Miami Hurricanes fan, and I hate the Seminoles
That's why Miami haven't beat fsu since 2009 and they talk about having a good football team
6 IN A ROW BITCHES!
+TAMPABLACK and 9 out of the last 11. The oh powerful UM can't even win the Coastal division of the ACC. Talk about trash. Fuck the dumpster fire they're a landfill fire.
+gergsport 5>3
+John Doe True, 5 championships is more than 3. But, I wouldn't brag, considering UM's last championship was over a decade ago 😂. Most current students at both universities were around preschool/kindergarten age the LAST time UM won anything as meaningful. 😂. Try again.
+TAMPABLACK you mean 7-2
Wow... this aged like MILK. 😂😂😂 #ItsAllAboutTheU 🙌
go to fsu as a tight end and come out a wide reciever
The best part of this video is the delusion of U Miami students. Poor ranking (and sinking annually), low scores, and the ultimate backup school in FL. No one respects a Miami "degree" outside of Dade County. Even in FL, UF and FSU are both considered more acclaimed than "the U." Unfortunately, these students will soon realize the relative disesteem of their degree when they work as insurance agents saddled with $300k worth of debt.
Source: Live in Palm Beach island (land of Wall St. $$$). No one respects Miami. It is the ultimate backup school for kids who are rejected everywhere else. Hell, even SMU is respected more than Miami.
Both sides made themselves look bad. I wouldn't want to go to either one of these schools.
Can I get in on politics of Dr. Montero
Sucks to be []_[]
Only thing coming out of Miami is an easy lay and good Cuban food.
You definitely do not apply to UM, then UF... Haha everyone knows UF is the best school in Florida, and thats a fact.
Lol no
No to what exactly?
How is UF not the best in Florida lol
+IvanK Yea if you want to be in a class with 200 people.
NinjaAssassin407 Not strange at a major state university with one of the highest populations in the country...
I'm a OU SOONERS Fan. Just saying I have more respect for The U than Fsu. Fuck the Seminoles.
except, everyone here is basically from down south. all 305 and 954 area codes over here.
Description??? Lol
UM with the most crass and vulgar remarks... kinda says it all
DO FSU vs FU next!
Don't really know who won maybe FSU I guess but I'm an Auburn fan so I like Miami better. FSU just really stung me but it's not their fault.
