It's so bizarre hearing this theme in comparison to the other battle themes in the Sky Trilogy because it's honestly the most memorable battle theme because it represents the youth and low stakes that the Jr. Bracers face throughout the adventure, there's no other battle theme like it
This is probably the most divided battle theme I've ever heard... I also consider it the best battle theme I've ever heard. I understand why some people don't like it. Not every JRPG theme needs to sound like the world is ending...

This music was perfect for the stage of the game it was in. I especially loved when I heard this song in TC, during Scherazard's memory door flashback. It makes sense since that flashback was 5 years in the past, making it technically one of the earliest points in the game which this song matches so well. Damn good choice of music. It's the little things like this that I really love :)
This song might've been the reason I played through the whole series. I knew immediately from ppl praising the game that this was gonna be a unforgettable ride so I jumped in and then heard this track and it was a wrap from there. 4 months later and I played all the way up to Kuro 2. Amazing games that deserve more love because they are truly *experiences* rather than just games.

This music actually firsts pretty nicely for the most of the part, surprisingly enough... Unless you are playing Nightmare... then its more like watching your people getting killed to happy dancing music. LMAO.

I like cold steel, it still felt like a trails game by all means, but something was lost after trails in the sky man, Idk how to describe it, some sort of charm was stripped away
Years ago I used to watch tons of anime. I remember always wanting to find new media and new favorites, searching for something that I could truly call my favorite work. I wasn't always satisfied, and after years of limiting myself to anime I realized I should've tried playing some games. I actually never played much, but after playing some JRPGs I found myself really enjoying them. Still, at the time (and still now) I remember really craving for a JRPG with a good love story. While searching around, I've found people talking about Trails in the Sky. I had already heard the name of The Legend of Heroes, more specifically I remember seeing the cover art of Cold Steel 1 and thinking to myself it was the most generic looking thing I've ever seen, thus didn't even consider playing it. After hearing the good reviews about Sky though, I started researching more about the series. It was quite wild to see that this was actually a massive series narrated across 9 games at the time (Sen IV had just released). Still I didn't really understand how the series was structured (I didn't realize the story was actually continuous), but what I understood is that this was probably one of the biggest, most ambitious stories on the planet. So I decided to give it a try, start up Sky FC... And damn I literally just dropped it the moment Scherazard starts explaining the Orbment system. At the time my English was absolutely mid, and I was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of NPCs the game had already even before the first gameplay section began. I decided to drop it. Probably something like an year later my English was much better, and while playing Code Vein I remember the same feeling i felt back then: I wanted to see a good love story in a JRPG. Thus I searched again, once again found people talking about Sky, and finally, on January 2020, I decided to give it a serious try. This time I actually could understand what Scherazard was asking to do, understood the Orbment mechanic, actually went ahead and talked with pretty much all NPCs... By then I've heard a lot of people talking about how fucking great this series was. When I began FC I wondered why was it held in such high regard. Then I actually went ahead with the story, finally going into the Rolent Sewers, starting the first fight with some rats... And then this song started playing. At that moment I fucking knew, this was going to become something legendary, and fuck if it did. From Liberl to Calvard, I have never loved a fictional story this goddamn much, and after Kuro II I can easily call this my absolute favorite piece of media. Thank you Ishibashi, and everyone responsible for creating this masterpiece of a series.
This battle theme is so good because it's the perfect one for Sora no Kiseki FC And it doesn't work in any other JRPG. No other game lacks the sense of urgency of FC, and it's perfect the way it is
