Thanks for sharing, I came from an older out-dated video so this was very helpful. I"m looking forward to the updated guides for other races, if youre down for playing more ED2 :)
i know its a year late but it seems that you want to rush essence and dust the first few turns and start pumping out arks seeing as the only real price you pay on arks are their upkeep and initial essence.
@@ewanwalker5967 It's slightly different thanks to the Penumbra DLC but all of this still works. There are just other mechanics that didn't exist when this was made but from what I can tell it's possible to win without using them so long as you aren't getting targeted too badly with them. I honestly haven't played around with hacking that much yet.
I don' get how to play these guys at all. My starts are usually very weak (1 planet, max 2), and very few expansion options (maybe oviod is a bad galaxy type for them). Their early industry and science just feels so weak early game that you are crippled for the remainder of the campaign Even If i find a minor facion early, before I have enough to build my first Ark, the best settling places are usually taken by pirates as well
@@YukitsuTimes I did. Just in my tries it looks like there are far fewer connections and good places (might be galaxy settings), and any good places tend to be taken either by pirates or the AI. And arent you just insanely behind by missing the standard production buildings?
This was exactly what I was looking for. I usually use 4x alchemist for guides but their vodiyani guide was completely outdated.
I started playing this with a friend and love it
Thank you

I am, but with so many good releases out now, I'm busy as hell. @_@
thanks for the guide
This guide does a pretty good job of telling me what to do, but not such a good job at telling me why I'm doing it.

good guide man.. ty for it :)
31:28 WTF was that xD
Satan.
@@YukitsuTimes that explains it then.
@@YukitsuTimes started playing the game recently and I love the vodyani
Not enough people playing these intellectual games
Is this still particularly up to date? I really like Vodyani but I also get the impression they are one of the toughest factions to play..
Also, I noticed that when I start with the Vodyani I get 2 Leecher ships. Does this change up much?

Skip to the 16:52 mark. Even with a 1 planet start, it's possible to win on endless with the Vodyani.
