his jig-clamping system is great. Takes a lot of patience but can be used over and over again. better than fumbling around all the time trying to hold things together to clamp them.

Danke Schon. I am afraid thats where my German stops. I too am thinking of modifying my plans of a 18foot mould to do skin on frame next boat. your videos are helpful. Can you perhaps comment of sourcing the heat shrink material

einfach klasse.
Hast Du eine Faustformel beim Schäften ?
Viele sprechen immer vom Faktor 7 als Schäften-Länge im Bezug auf die Leistenhöhe.
Bei dir sieht das eher nach dem Faktor 3 bis 4 aus .
Ich hoffe ich habe mich verständlich ausgedrückt.

hallo, ich habe keine Formel benutzt. es sind halt 20 cm Länge . so angeordnet, dass die Mitte einer Schäft-stelle am Ende auf einer Rippe aufliegt...

It looks like you have taken the plans from the Canoe Craft book. When making your forms, did you subtract and remove material from each station that would equal the total thickness of the rib and stringer? Thanks.

Yes of course! Otherwise the canoe would be bigger then you want. There are 2,5cm once around. The canoe would be 5cm wider and 2,5am higher. If you build a tandem canoe, I think it does´nt matter. A solo canoe should not be too wide .... Thanks for your interest - best regards, Uwe

Thanks for your reply. I am looking at building the Prospector Ranger in cedar strip, and once it is done I would like to modify the forms to build a Skin on Frame version. Thanks.
