As always Mike - you gave a spectacular review. The blind spot in the A pillar is bad but VW's console screen interface stopped me in my tracks from moving forward with their cars. That's too bad... I love the ergonomics and physical design of VWs. Oh, and no piano black or touch-sensitive haptic a$$ sliders for anything 😄
By chance were you wearing glasses with polarized lenses? The head up display is useless in the day time with polarized lenses - you just can't see the data. I love my Atlas so I had to order new non-polarized driving glasses in order to use the HUD.
Mike , I’m also Mike 😊, VWbrand specialist in Bloomington Indiana. Awesome video! Can you offer some insights on a couple issues I’m having on one I sold? It’s a 2024 loaded SEL Premium R-line. A) When putting the car in Drive the front camera only activates around 50% of the time. I sat in car with here and she demonstrated it and I’m wondering if it’s a simple answer or an issue with the car. B) the wireless charger stops charging randomly without any phone movement. Charging from USBC gets extremely hot to the touch. Any insights Are appreciated to put customers mind at ease. Thanks!
A) The camera system seems to be buggy in this new Atlas. A software reset might help but I think it will take an update to fix it. B) If the camera case is too thick or contains magnets or other metals it might interfere with the charging. I know my camera case does this sometimes. Try charging without the phone case on to see if the issue is still happening. Regarding the USBC charging... if the phone is getting hot, then fast-charging is turned on in the phone settings. USB-A is 12 watts while USB-C is 100 watts. Turn off fast-charging in the phone settings should solve the heating of the phone.
@@MikesCarInfoYes - pushing the P button next to the hazard light switch defaults to Park Assist - when it does that, you will see another button on the screen to toggle you into camera mode.
@VW It sounds like a software update to add a shortcut virtual button to the camera system is in order! I know I like hard the camera button on my 2018 Tiguan. Can be invaluable in an urgent situation as well.
One of the best looking SUVs out there. I got this same one in white and the regular 3 row and they’re definitely a head turner.
I liked your vids Mike & I buy this SUV 1 day.
Süper.

I have the sel premium r line but I don’t have the R screen in the digital cockpit?
Mike - Your videos are 💯‼It's the Mister Peanut hand point that made me a subscriber🤣
2018 Tiguan, on adaptive cruise control… Yes have to jiggle the steering wheel on long straight highways. I get it but.
Awesome review. Thank u for this video👏🏻🙏🏼

I am so baffled as to why there’s no brake hold feature on this car.
Best review I’ve seen of this car! Thanks, Mike!
hey mike if its possible to do a 2024 chevrolet silverado LT possibly :)
Unlikely. The last Chevrolet vehicle I had access to was in 2019.
GMC ACADIA
To pull up the camera manually press the P menu button next to the Hazards.
@@bvgfan That starts the park assist process. No camera is shown.
Interesting it pulls up on the SEL Tech Package
@bvgfan Yes, it is weird. It doesn't even pop up when the parking sensors detect something.
