Hey bro I appreciate it!
And it depends I usually look at the body first and make sure it's as flawless as possible because then all the mechanical stuff can be dealt with and you're left with a nearly perfect car.
If the body is good and you're mechanically inclined I think it's a good deal especially since you're planning to keep it as a daily. Maybe just for extra reassureance check the Facebook marketplace in your area and see what the average price is for one in good condition and if it still makes sense financially then go for it!
