I don't understand how the pick and roll was so undefended this game. It's like the #1 team in the country, a supposed defensive juggernaut, had never seen a pick and roll before. Dawn Staley obviously knows what's going on because she's going ballistic (rightly so) on the sideline pointing to where the help defense needs to come, but all game long Czinano, Iowa's 2nd leading scorer, had free run to the basket for uncontested layups off the screen. Ultimately I'd say that Lisa Bluder outcoached Dawn Staley by a mile. Packed the paint on defense, dared SC to shoot. Found the gaps in USC's seemingly impenetrable armor. Also didn't hurt that Caitlin Clark put up 41 points for the second game in a row. Instant classic game.

I did however, work for an NBA team and watched Magic, from on the Forum floor. Clark is like that for me. She's Bird, Magic, Curry oh and Elway - those 1 arm shots with total accuracy are my FAV. CUz' she IS a girl, it is for me - as a former female athlete - more exciting.
Wow, that change of direction, behind-the-back dribble actually reminds me a lot of Pistol Pete. She is smooth with it. And her shooting mechanics, while a bit unorthodox, are pretty consistent. She has a very quick shooting release. She will face tougher defenders like Copper and Gray in the WNBA. I enjoyed this analysis.
What's your point? They both got beat. LSU taught Iowa about disrespecting players. Lmao, I think we will see a lot more respect from them next season. Asked them how many transfers worth anything that they was able to get. Ima tell you , none!!!!!
How many of those transfers could've made Iowa's academic standards? Most of these girls you're disparaging as BB players (who cares) will make more in entry level jobs with their degrees than WNBA average salaries (not to mention playing in front of 2x the crowd) or like some, go on to grad school or med school. Just wish some brave journalist who isn't a liberal would trace these ladies (and 98% of men athletes ) and see where they are in 10 years. Bet that would be revealing! How many SEC players are asking "you want fries wit dat" or worse? Just curious...

Better yet, examine average SAT scores or "acceptable" scores between the SEC and the Big10. You essentially have to spell your NAME RIGHT to get into the SEC as an elite athlete while you have to have a BRAIN to get into the BIG10 schools.. And that's for big FB recruiting. Trickle that down to a women's BB roster. Better yet, lol at team websites and see the academic accolades... Oh yeah, not a lot of those in SEC bios
