The grave of the British unknown soldier is in Westminster Abbey, among the Kings and great people of British history. It is also the only grave in the Abbey, that it is forbidden to walk on.
Be safe brother. You actually deployed. Here in the US 12% served in WW2, about 6% during Korea and Vietnam. Since the draft ended in 1973 less than 1% have shown up to boot camp let alone pass. It changes you and there is no going back, My heart breaks for the UKe and Russian soldiers. It breaks for the Israel and Hamas fighters. The Houthi's etc. War is the death of humanity, but in a weird twist of fate only warriors actually understand that. But no one ever asks us, and we now are so few in numbers. They just say we are crazy, unstable etc. But like the diary reference, like Indy said. Does it matter? The same could said of every warrior since antiquity to today.
