  • When starting a new career or choosing a new industry to work in, you are always presented with a choice of positions, and most of the time you are not sure what is the right option.
    For those of you who are looking to start in Talent Acquisition or Recruitment, you might have seen that there are job titles like Technical Recruiter and Non-Technical Recruiter. You are probably wondering what is the difference, today I will give you some inside information into what is the difference between the two, which one is easier, and what might be the best choice for you.
    I want to explain why is it important to make a choice right away. It might look like that these two positions have the same responsibilities and you are not wrong but the type of people you are looking for could not be more different. Once you have a few years of experience in the field it is difficult to switch from one to the other. Again, even though it seems easy it's not. I had to make that switch after 1 year of working in the Hospitality Industry to the IT world.
    Now that you understand why you need to make a choice early, let's talk about the difference between the two.

    Could you elaborate more on technical recruiting and day to day job duties, salary, etc.

      Day to day job is the same as for the non-technical specialist, mostly sourcing, scheduling, screening, etc. The only difference is that you need to know the technical side job, to understand the basics of each tech stack.
      Salary I can't really say any numbers since it's very different from country to country and company to company. Probably the best source would be Glassdoor based on the location and the industry that you want to go into.
