  • A walk down an abandoned road to Tombstone, Az. Also a short visit to Ed Schieffelin's Monument. Historic with comedy. This video was made to show a historic roadway, and also to test a new camera.

I had the honor to not only call this man my friend but to have worked with him at the OK Corral performing the Gunfight. He played Morgan Earp and I did both Virgil and Wyatt Earp. Unfortunately he passed away a few years ago.

@Damian Martinez Yes, for real. We are all still in shock ever after so much time as passed. He is sorely missed by all in Tombstone who knew him. He was also an artist, and a violin maker and repairer.

You may have found the old Butterfield Trail Stage route! I stumbled onto it between Dragoon Springs and the San Pedro during a 1999 hunting trip.

I was stationed at Ft Huachuca for almost 2 years in the late 1960's. I was out in the 'field' most of the time and how Ed Scheifellin the miner could come to this country filled with hostile Apaches and border rogues and then dare to prospect is a wonder to me. The place is filled with life though and you can feel it all around you. Pretty haunting at night and sometimes in those weird canyons, during the day. Spooky but wonderful.

Metal Detector Heaven. I detect an old ghost town in the middle of nowhere and its so quiet and Creepy some times. I feel like I am being watched as well.

Being raised in San Diego my family used to camp in Yuma, and that started a love affair with Arizona, and set my mind alight and my imagination with the old west, we would also find old rusty metal, Square nails, horse shoes, so on... and bits of pottery and broken coloured glass from old medicinal, whiskey, or soda works bottles and on occasion fully intact snake oil bottles, Two of which I still remember the named of, Lydia Pinkhams Vegetable compound, And Warner's Safe cure, I wish I still had them,
Anyway, Your video was both informative and humourous,
I now live in Ontario Canada so there is little chance I'll see Arizona any time soon
    Thanks for the vid

IMO, that pipe piece was probably used at one time and simply bleached throughout the decades by the hot and unforgiving Arizona Sun

Great story, video and great job narration, the miner with huge headstone, I’m sure friends figured the design, but why in the shape of a Dunce Cap?👍🤔
