The all-new 2020 Lincoln Corsair is a luxury compact SUV, and it replaces the Lincoln MKC in the company’s lineup. Like the MKC, the new Corsair is based on the Ford Escape, but with plenty of unique design, engineering, and features.
Two turbocharged engines are available for the 2020 Corsair. The first is a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder good for 250 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. This test car has the optional 2.3-liter 4-cylinder, cranking out 295 horsepower and 310 lb.-ft. of torque. Fuel economy measures 25 mpg in combined driving with the standard engine, and 24 mpg with the optional 2.3-liter.
Competitors include the Acura RDX, Lexus NX, Infiniti QX50, Jaguar E-Pace, Land Rover Discovery Sport, and Mercedes-Benz GLB.

You sounded naive about the grille in 0:52.. This studded grille should be standard on all Lincolns. This grille gives it the real Luxury Finish. Also, i think standard body color on lower trim works best. There are guys who have been matching lower body trim colors with to the body color on their MKZ's and Nautilus, but of course preference is subjective. To me, this just looks perfect, but i have to add 'Excellent content!' 👍🏾 You nailed it, especially at the end. No other Corsair review was as much informative and precise.

Good review. It is a luxury car that feels like American luxury as opposed to some wannabe BMW. Good job Lincoln. For 35-40k, it is a good vehicle for those wanting compact luxury.

Excellent review and advice, Chris. Looks like some early build issue with that particular Corsair. I also noticed exterior doors chrome was slightly misaligned. That rear three quarters view of the Corsair is gorgeous. A sexy derriere. Lincoln styling is firing on all cylinders. That its looks evoke the more expensive Range/Land Rover is a good thing. 🤪

I just bought a 2021 Corsair Standard, 2.0 turbo plenty of power and pep, FWD should still do well in mid Atlantic snow, no sunroof for simplicity, 101A convenience package with 2 tone 18" wheels with meaty sidewalls, elements package for heated and cooled front seats, heated rear seats and steering wheel, white to show off floating roof design and dark undercladding, all weather floor mats, and mini spare. Makes for an affordable yet luxurious daily driver/commuter/errand runner/date car/small family hauler. Really easy and fun to drive, perfect size, easy to park and maneuver, fits in tight garages and parking decks. Agree that the standard trim grill, undercladding, and wheels look better than the superexpensive reserve trim. With the standard trim, they scimped on a few item such as non-tilting rear headrests (really wanted tilt down feature), no cordless charging pad, no engine cover, no privacy cargo cover, no foglights (not needed because the LED headlights illuminate the near field great), manual telescopic steering wheel so no wheel memory, no bag hooks in rear cargo area. Highly recommend the standard trim for value and simplicity yet all the luxury we really need.

I actually love the Corsair with this Reserve Appearance package between the wheels, the body color painted cladding, & the unique grill it gets. This helps make the Corsair stand out from other Corsairs & even from the Nautilus on the road (even though I like both). The Nautilus doesn't offer a Reserve Appearance package to make the black plastic cladding painted to match the body color which I personally like since these wouldn't be used for any off roading anyways

Even though I know the Corsair is built on the same frame as the Escape, I hate to hear the Corsair mentioned together with the Escape. I recently traded in my very squeaky 2018 Escape for a 2020 Honda Odyssey. I'm going to wait for the Corsair hybrid. I love the Corsair and its heads-up display.

A few good comments you made about not needing to upsize the 2.0L engine, I'd been wondering about that. Also about the lighter body paint color showing the floating roof line better and about liking the lower body molding better not being paint matched. I also thought that. You did pass on critiquing the panoramic roof, though. I can't believe this roof is mandatory on all Reserve models. Where is the panoramic roof delete option? I'll only consider the Standard model because of this stupid roof on all Reserve models.

Just got my 2020 Corsair. It is beautiful with a great ride, but it arrived only partially finished .I purchased the Reserve 2 and expected a lot more. First there is no cover over the luggage area. The quick guide says there is, but the Lincoln people, after researching all day cant find anything about one. The cellphone as a key doesent work, and Lincoln thinks it may because of os13 or my iphone 11being too new. The garage door opener didn't work. The controls are so complicated and unintuitive, it will take weeks to learn them. This is the worst of any new car i have seen. Worst car purchase I have ever made!

    • @rhydynamic8306

This car will be more pricey, imagine paying for a top-spec Explorer Platinum, but this is WAY more comfortable than the CX5 I don’t even know how to describe the comfort of this vehicle! The CX5 will fall behind by miles in terms of quality, comfort, and power. But that’s what paying 60k for a top-spec Corsair will get you. But you don’t have to pay that much, if you want the “Standard” trim...You should be paying only 40k for a overly equipped Corsair, anything higher will be a “want” instead of a “need”. But Reserve and Black Label looks really nice too. For BL, you get a special service.. And I believe you have free yearly detailing, free car washes (anytime), etc. I would get either a Reserve or Standard. AWD works best with this car, and either engines do awesome!

Joe Z 60k for everything in it yes I was actually at there dealer today, the car is amazing and wonderful and very reliable. Only con for me is I don’t like how the gears are since I’m using to driving stickshift I like haveing a shifter but the piano shifter isn’t too bad, but other than that I got a quote on it and for 10% down like 3,000 dollars down payment in California I live in at least I would be paying about 318 dollars a month for a brand new car that is the price of 35,000 but with negotiation they would sell it to me for 31,500 flat which isn’t too bad of a deal but yes if you do want all the fancy stuff like massage chairs and what not bull crap it reaches about 63,000 to be exact but you really don’t need all those extra addons
