Hi Mr. Brown. I have to say that over the years, God has used you to speak to me so many times. I am connected with a church in my area, but I honestly don't connect with their sermons. It's the best church I have in my area. So I decided to listen to your sermons to compensate. The way you communicate is perfect for me. I'm an Enneagram 4, and can be stuck feeling pretty negative, but your sermons make me smile and feel comforted. You have a fantastic balance of tasteful humor, and serious reverence, which I think represents God well. I think people too often forget that God has a great sense of humor just like anyone else. At least he does in my life, lol. I really needed to hear this sermon today. Thank you so much.
The pride and the comedy gets in the way of God's truth in your sermons. I left your church years ago and it seems nothing has changed. As a pastor you are held to a higher standard. I am very concerned for you and those who are being led by you. I am praying for you and your congregation. Please watch your sermon and count how many times you say "I" and then compare it to how many times you say God, Lord, or Jesus.
